  1. My case was approved in September too, but due to a typographical error by USCIS it was not forwarded to the NVC. Anyway, my NVC process starts now. Can I request an expedite from the NVC because of USCIS's error that costed me 4 months? I am also going to request an expedite based on a medical condition. Lets hope it does not take too much time to get through the NVC process.

  2. Has anyone approved in early september not had their case arrive at NVC yet? I was approved 8-29 and NVC and CSC are both giving me the run around about my case- as if neither of them has it! This makes me very, very nervous!

Yes, I was approved on sept 3, but NVC has not received case yet. And I am freaking out too.

I have called both NVC and USCIS multiple times and also send the NVC a copy of my approval letter, but no response. Both organizations refuse to look into a case before 90 days and after 90 days they will search for it if it is not in the NVC system. At that point if they find out that it is lost then they I will have to refile the case.

Have you found out anything else?

Had you filed for a I129 also?

I filed the I-129 also but it hasn't been approved yet- could it be that this is keepingmy case file at CSC instead of moving it on? I might call with that question today.

Otherwise, I have found out NOTHING.... no one will look into it for 90 days and I haven't been able to get anywhere--- I'm hoping neither of our cases are lost and this gets resolved soon!

I spoke to USCIS a few times, they said that as soon as applications are approved they are sent to NVC and they have nothing to do with it after that point. You need to call USCIS as once one application is approve (130 or 129), the other one should be automatically approved. That is why most ppl get both approvals on the same day or a few days apart.

Anyway, if your I 130 reaches the NVC, I would not worry about the I129F.

My I129 F has been approved and it reached the NVC and has been forward to the (wrong) embassy. But I do not want to go that route.

You need to send them a copy of your approval notice and write a letter to them to look into your case. It took me weeks to get this information. So do it asap. However, the letter has not done any good till now.

I will keep you posted if I find out anything.

    Lets hope for the best.

  4. My approvals came in September, but have a problem. I am wondering if anyone approved in august had a similar problem.

My I 130 and I 129 F were approved on the same day, sept 3rd. The I 129 F process has gone forward, but the NVC has not received the I 130 application. Also people approved after me have received their case numbers. The NVC reps say that they will not look into it until 90 days, and that is how they answer every question. There is obviously a problem somewhere with the I 130 application, but they refuse to acknowledge it. I have also mailed them a copy of the approval notice for the I 130, but have not heard back from them yet.

Should I go ahead with the I 129 F application process?

Any advise would be very helpful.

  5. This is complete BS. My I 130 and I 129 F were approved on the same day, sept 3rd. The I 129 F process has gone forward, but the NVC has not received the I 130 application. 6. Your I-130 and I-129f will be assigned different case numbers.

The I-129f just passes through NVC, is assigned a number, and sent to the consulate.

Contact NVC and send a copy of NOA2 for your I-130, so they can locate your case.

Ling Ling, Thanks for your response. I spoke the NVC representative last night and she instructed me to do the same. So I have sent them a copy of the approval notice for I130 so that they can locate my case.

What happens if my I129 F processes faster than my I130? I really do not want to go the I129F route.[$/b]

My I129 F has reached the incorrect consulate. It reached Mumbai, India - where I was married, instead of Abu Dhabi, UAE which is the closest consulate to the city where my fiance stays. I am assuming that a phone call to the embassy would correct that. Any thoughts?

PS: I read your guide and it was really helpful.

  7. did u try calling USCIS and asking them what the hold up is?

Sorry, misread your question. No I have not called USCIS. I will try that tomorrow. Thanks that a good suggestion.

ps: I do not get the option to edit my posts for some reason.

    OK so here goes.

I called up USCIS this afternoon. They told my case was approved on sept 3rd and when cases are approved they are sent to the NVC. I asked if there was a possibility of any case left behind and they said no. They said I should call the NVC and follow up with them.

Called the NVC multiple times and used the voice response system to check if they received my application and they did not.

Now here is where it gets much more F***ed up. I reach home, check the mail and I see a letter form the NVC. The letter is for the I129 F application and not for the I130 application!!! They are processing the incorrect case. Not only that they are using the incorrect consulate. My wife lives in UAE. I called up and have checked that she could interview in the Abu Dhabi consulate, even though we got married in Mumbai, India and have an email confirmation from the Abu Dhabi consulate.

The good news is that the application has the NVC case number. I tried calling the NVC 2 times but could not get thru a rep. The automated voice response system still does not recognize my NVC case number and USCIS receipt number.

I am calling them and letting them know my case number and letting them know that they have forwarded it to the incorrect consulate. Will also ask them what is up with the I130 application and request for that to be processed rather than the I129 F.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?? SHOULD I DO SOMETHING ELSE?

HAS ANYONE ELSE GOT A LETTER FOR THEIR I129 F APPLICATION OR ARE YOU GETTING LETTERS FOR THE I130? PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

  8. did u try calling USCIS and asking them what the hold up is?

Yup, I have spoken to the operators twice. First they ask for the USCIS tracking number which I provide. Then they let me know the case is not in the system. They ask if I have received an approval. I say yes. Then they ask what type of application. I say I 130. They say they have 90 days to process such requests. Then I ask questions like

    - I understand you have 90 days, but how long does it usually take for such applications to get processed in your systems?

    - I know that several people who got approved at the same timeframe got their NVC confirmation in a few days. What can cause differences in timelines?

    - Should I be concerned?

All of the above is answered with, "sir we have upto 90 days to process the request"

Should I call up and speak to operators more often OR will that not do any good OR it does not hurt to follow up? What do you think?

  9. hey M&S did the NVC get your case yet???

No checked 3 times today by calling the automated voice response system. Did not talk to the reps though, I am completely freaking out now.

Should have gotten it by now, #######? And on top of that someone at work told me that cases could get lost, in such situations you would start the whole process again. This is complete BS.

They keep on telling me that they have 90 days to process the NVC cases and nothing else. Should I call and talk to the operators daily or is that a bad idea, since they may document that in some system and if I piss them off they may delay it even more.

Going insane thinking about what could go wrong. Any thoughts?

Tomorrow, I plan to get a few printouts and start filling all the documents out. That should keep me occupied and patient for a few days.

  10. Same thing here too, my case have not reached NVC yet I was approved on 9/9/08. Hope tomorrow they will have it. Rmusic

I was approved on 9/3 and I have called the NVC multiple times but they have not received it yet. They told me that they have upto 90 days to get the case in the system.

Anyway, Meliss3108 join the September approval forum if you are not already on it, enter your info in the tracking spreadsheet. You will find all others in the same boat. Here is the link http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...60&start=60

  11. M&S, I am also waiting for my case to get at NVC like you if you have any new info do share with us in this thread. I did see you got the signature set up that is good because other people will know what is going on and how long it takes for each step at NVC. Rmusic

Hi Rmusic, I have followed up with the NVC - called and checked the automated voice response system and talked to an agent. They told me that it could take upto 90 days to get the case in the system and refused to provide any other information. I am really scared. I notice date for approval was 9/3 and today its the 9/15!!! I noticed a lot of peoples timelines and it usually happens pretty quick. Not sure why mine is taking longer. I hope its not 90 days :clock:

As soon as anything happens, I will post something in the forum and will also update the spreadsheet.

I will be preparing for the next few steps and so I should be very active on the forum. This forum is sooooooooo helpful.

Good luck with receiving your NVC tracking number.

  12. Jummmy & Prima and Jay, The links you posted were very helpful. Now I feel like I know so much more. Thanks a lot.

I called the NVC and my case did not show up in their system. Said it may take more time. Freaking out a little since other peoples cases that were approved the same day (sept 3) have recd their NVC according to the spreadsheet. Makes me nervous  That raises another question, the NVC column is for when you receive a NVC tracking number or a package via mail?

Also, I do not know how to add the timeline to my signature. Is it a manual copy paste or is there an automated way to do it by linking it to your profile?

  13. First of all, Thank God I found this forum... The application process has been extremely overwhelming for me. My I130 petition reached the CSC on June 11th and my I129F on 11th Aug. My case was approved Sept 3 and I received both NOA 2 hardcopies via mail yesterday!!! However, I am very confused about the procedure henceforth. Could anyone please give a general overview of what I should expect or point me in the right direction, maybe provide a forum link. I did read the general documentation for the application process, but I am still confused if I would receive forms here in US or would my fiance receive forms that are requried to be filled. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I just found the following link that makes the process much more easier to follow http://www.visajourney.com/examples/NVC_Pr...wchart_v1-2.pdf

The document was updated in 2005. Has the procedure changed since then?

Also I beleive the Abu Dabhi consulate does not accept a I 864 they accept I 134's instead... Not sure about this, need to verify.
