Ours was a separate mailing
Did it come shortly after your NOA's for your I-485? It has only been 6 days since we received my NOA's for the I-485. Maybe they will be in the mail today! Thanks for your response!

Have you noticed how many people in AOS don't have a VJ timeline? They post all the time and have a signature timeline, but nothing that helps with the stats pages.
I agree! More people need to be creating timelines in the "timeline" section of VJ!

My question is in regards to my K2 son. I have received all the NOA's back from USCIS for my application to AOS. However, I have not received my K2 son's NOA's back. I filed his I-485 at the same time, in the same envelope with my application. Does anyone know, will I get separate NOA's for his applications? Should they not have come with my NOA's?
Thank you in advance!

Is anybody having luck viewing their case status on the USCIS website? I used the receipt number from the NOA1 AOS and it doesn't work. It says "Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."
Sometimes it can take up to a month of them having your paper work before they list it online. So be patient as they are the government and take their time with everything they do! LOL Congratulations and good luck to you!

Hi all! Congrats on your marriage and on getting through this process this far! WOW what a trip!!!
My husband and I filed our AOS, EAD and AP on Feb. 4, 2009. Hopefully it will go smoothly and quickly!
Feel free to add me to your friends list and drop me a line! I'm always curious how others are doing in this process and how it affects people.
Good luck and god bless you all!

Will need to get the required vaccinations or tested "Titer" tests for the required immunities. You will then get these new records transcribed to an I-693 by a US Civil surgeon.
I also am a little confused about this.. I have read on USCIS' website that I do not need to get another medical done as mine was within the last year. I also have read that USCIS requires my Immunization records. I have my original from Canada and also one that my US approved doc wrote out for me, however, I have not read anywhere that I need them transcribed to a I-163. Could you shed some light on this please for me! Thank you in advance for the help... Sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere, I haven't found it yet! Thanks again!!!

Also, you need two checks, one for each person. I would make separate cover letters for each person with their own materials clipped together. You're filing two separate packages, even if you put them in the same envelope. A short cover, cover letter indicating the filing is for two applicants is a good idea too. They will, in fact have separate files once USCIS gets them but they'll keep the files together if possible.
Thank you so much! That was one of my questions that I forgot to write down!

Hi all! We are about to start our decent (haha) Actually this weekend, we are getting together everything we need for our AOS and was wondering if anyone had any insight to this? This is what I have so far:
1. Fee $1610.00 ( for myself and my k2)
2. I-485 for both of us
3. I-131 for both
4. I-765 for both
5. B.C. for both
6. Immunization Records for both
7. I-134 or is it supposed to be I-864?????
8. Passport style photos for both
9. G-325A
10. Letters of support from family, friends
Ok did I miss anything? If so, would you be so kind in letting me know what it is or what I didn't do! I would certainly appreciate it!!! I am confused at where to send all the diff forms too, and do I need to sent mine and my son's separtely to USCIS?
Thank you in advance again!

My son's father had nothing to do with him for years. Hadn't seen my son since he was 3. I have sole custody.
None of it matters. You need still need a letter from the biological parent.
I couldn't even get a hold of my ex for a letter, and for some odd reason three days before the interview I got a hold of his wife, and she got him to write and fax me a letter from him, which I thank them both for. Talk about timing. During the interview it was one thing the interviewer stopped talking to check on too. So I am so happy I had it.
Good luck!
Hmmm thanks for replying about this. This whole topic on biological parents stumps me. I have just read on the Vancouver US Consulate that since I have sole custody, I do not need permission or written consent. I am however going to call them ahead of time to just make sure.

Hi HI everyone! We are new to the forums but have read up on this site for months! Great posts, fantastic helpers and some wonderful people! We filed through CSC April 29th, 2008 but they techinically didn't receive it till May 1st, 2008. So can we sneak into this group? Anyhow, we have a great site that we put together for Canada/ USA K1 information, please check it out and let us know what you think!

I want to thank you all for your kind help! Since Carla's post, I have reposted this in the Canada section of VJ. Hopefully I will get more great responses there!

Hi all! First I want to say congratulations on everyone finding their soul mate! Second, this process waiting sucks!! LOL
Now for my question, I am a CS and my Fiancee is the USC, I have an 11yr old son who I have sole custody of. His biological father hasn't been in contact with us for 6 - 7 yrs now. I was able to get a Canadian passport for my son without a letter of consent from his father. I also have seen a lawyer here in Canada about this who said there shouldn't be any problems, but still, this issue lingers with me. Has anyone here or does anyone know of anyone who has had this same problem? I did read on a post here that a petitioner did have an issue and in the end, needed to get this letter of consent from the biological parent.
Thanks in advance for everyone's support and help in this! More info and more friends are about the only way to get through this process sane!!!
