    I485 approved without interview? Confused!

    Hi All -

    We submitted my husband's I-485 and EAD applications back in January. We went to the local office in St. Albans to have his biometrics done at the beginning of February, and he just got his EAD in the mail last week, which was great. However, today I just got an email update from the USCIS website saying:

    "On March 16, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

    It very clearly states that this is in regards to the I-485 application, and lists the I-485 case number. I logged onto the website to see if it would tell me anything further, but it just gives me the same text as the email. He hasn't had any interview...hasn't even had one scheduled...and we haven't gotten an RFE for the I-693 form that we didn't submit. There's no way they could be giving him his AOS without an interview and proof of vaccinations, is there?!

    Lucky you..maybe your application was transferred to csc..that's why no interview :thumbs:

    hello march 2010 filers, does anyone here had recieved a confirmation from the USCIS already? A text, email or mail maybe? we had sent ours last march 02 and chicago lockbox recieved it last march 04 but until now no confirmation yet.. is this normal? our money check has not yet been cashed...

    Hi, the same scenerio..we sent ours too last march 02, received march 04, till now no confirmation yet..and the check has not yet been cashed..ohhh... :crying:

    Hi: i'm preparing the I-485 for my daughter, where can i find her A#? i have my A# it's on my visa under the petitioner's name..but my daughter's visa don't have it, i checked her passport it's not there too..pls help i don't know where to find it..thankssss!

    I also checked the NOA for the A#, but only my A# was there. is it possible that we have the same A#? Thanks again!

    No "A" number has yet been assigned for a K-2... just write "NONE"

    Blue Slips, Pink Slips.....

    I got a blue, pink and white slip after my interview.

    The pink slip is for the application for courier service.

    The white slip is for submission of some documents or other requirements (which in my case was the medical report, immunization record and passport).

    The blue slip is the form to be completed when complying with the requirements as listed/indicated in the white slip.

    All of these slips remain with me as it was the USEM that submitted all the requirements listed in the white slip I got and since it was not me that submitted them, I also did not anymore bring the blue slip (form) to the USEM.

    Maybe you should ask your fiance if there was anything checked in the white slip such that she was given a blue form/slip. Those whose documents are all submitted were just given a white slip (with a check on wait for us...) and the pink slip for the courier service.

    Hello again friends, but the ways thanks to all who answer my questions, regarding letter of intent, I have another questions about my POE, my medical is on 16 th of this month and i know they will ask there where is my point of entry? My chosen iterenary is mnla-japan/ japan-detroit/ detroit-bwi.. dont know where is my point of entry..my destination is maryland usa..thanks again hope to received answer again guyz!

    Hello again fellow vjers,

    i'm worried about my fiance bank statement he have only 2,000 usd in his checking account and his annual income is only 26,000 usd. I'm worried, can this problem cause denial on my k1 visa? Thanks for the reply

    You need to provide more information about your situation. We have no way of knowing if this is a problem because we don't know how many dependents your fiance has.

    Is it only you and him that he will be supporting? If it's just you and him, and his annual income is 26,000 USD then you are okay as it meets the financial requirements.

    Have you even read the poverty limits? If not, then read them first so you get a better understanding of what the requirements are.

    Hi Devkpaik, thanks for quick responce. his only dependents is me and my 12 yrs old daughter, and we have business here also we put 2 internet cafes but its only in my name, can i bring the business documents to my interview even the license and permits named only to me? or i need to go to the business and licensing office to include his name to the business license and permits?

    erasure on divorce decree

    Hello Vjers,

    I opened the sealed divorce decree already cause i want to photocopy it and i checked if all the pages are there, When i'm reading the divorce paper i noticed the erasure in the date of their divorce the date that write there was july and changed it to august the one who erased it is the one who signed it he just put a line in the word july and put august on the top, do you think this is questionable in my interview? thanks for the reply

    NBI clearance "no record on file"

    Hello friends, i get nbi clearance today and the result is NO RECORD ON FILE. I read in the usembassy website that if the nbi clearance has the following notations:"NO CRIMINAL RECORDS", "NO CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS", NO PENDING CASE", or "WITH DEROGATORY RECORDS" an official letter of explanation from nbi id required. my question is,my nbi remarks is "NO RECORD ON FILE", you think guys i also need letter of explanation from nbi? Please help me my interview is on oct.30 and time is running so fast now, thank you !

    Hi im from philippines,it is very important that u know the reaason why and when ur fiance got divorce wats the reason wats the date even the name of the ex wife and kids esp birthday...and also u have to bring copy of that divorce paper when u attend the CFO..It is very important that u know all the details of ur fiance/spouce...!!!

    CO in USEM they do ask that questions,,be prepare!!!!

    [/q yes its like i'm going to a board exam needs to review. my nterview is on oct.30 i know its still far but i'm already nervous..it's good that i know everything about him and his family even relatives names ,bday..location..anni..age.. .the reason why he divorce her and date of divorce.. her x wife birtday almost everything i can say i'm prepared now but i cannot promise that i will not get nervous infront of the co and forget everything hahahahah dummy me! thanks for the advice
