  1. I am having an Interview in 2 weeks. I suppose to bring I-601 waiver with me. I am going crazy about it! What kind of evidence can I possibly bring with my Hardship letters??? Or just a letters would be enough? Please, someone advise.

I went to interview with my husband and our baby for AOS based on marriage. Day after I received a notice to appear for the Second Interview and to bring filled I-601 waiver, including hardship letters and evidences. I am in the USA.

Had enyone else submit I-601 waiver at the Interview? Should I expect a decesion right away?

    Thank you in advance.

  2. I havn't left USA since I came here 6 years ago.

    On the letter it says:

Filing an I601 Waiver of Inadmissability because of fraud or misrepresentation.

I know my husband for 5 and a half years, married almost 2 years. We have a son!!! There is no fraud here. The only thing is coming on my mind, is USCIS has nothing better to do. Just trying to get people to pay them extra fees, for this usless forms.

  3. So we went today into INFOPASS. We spoke to 3 different officers, they all had surprised look on there faces after hearing my story. They check case status: it is pending. They didn't even try to contact the office where was our interview (it is on the different floor of the building). They told us that it is impossible for them to change anything, and suggested to us to wright a letter to the interviewing officer.

That is was waste of time going over there  .

  4. Hi. Was your AOS based on Hardship at all?

And mailing in your EAD (I-765), i have not heard of that before. they normally just take it if you are approved.

And yes that seems waaaay too fast for them to send you letter like that, i mean come on this is UCSIS we are talking about.

Please keep us informed and my sincere wishes goes out to you.

    ST

    Thank you,

I applyed for AOS after I got married and had a baby.

Immigration officer gave me an envelope to send my EAD card and I-94 to USCIS after I will receive my Green Card.

I was also very surprise to find a letter in the mail box next date, it was dated 1/29(day of interview).

  5. Hey Katia777,

Do you have a criminal record? Have you violated your immigrations status in the past? You should have some idea what the problem might be.

I have no criminal records, and i didn't violate immigration law. The only thing is I was in US without status for around 4 years. I know many people who got there GC after being here without status. I have no idea why it is happenning.

  6. Info PAss is good Idea.

On my interview officer told us that my green card would be in the mail in 1o days. But instead, next day after interview, I receiveds a letter asking for supportive evidence and appointment for the 2nd interview!! That is crazy. Officer was so nice, and congratulate us twice, she also give me instructions about EAD card and explained how to apply for permanent GC. I am going to INFOpass, I think it is a mistake.

I think they have lots of cases there, and mistake is possible.

    Good luck!

  7. Hi,

Sorry you are going through this. What is the additional evidence that they are looking for?

They want me to file I-601 Waiver Inadmissibility. Here what i read in the letter:

1.You are required to provide a typed, signed and sworn notarized statement from ball squalifying relatives as defined by this section of law, documenting in full detail what serious and/or extreme hardship that he/she would endure if you had to leave the United States. Note that extreme hardship is more than just a mere separation or a financial concern.

    2. Copies of all pages in passport used to enter US and I-94 record

3.Refer to page 6 and 7 of instruction to Form I-601 for additional evidence

4.Sworn statement detailing the circumstances su\rrounding the entry. To be taken by USCIS officer

    5. You must file I-601, sign and pay fee ( fee is around $600!!!)

  8. Hi everyone,

I am really confused. Please help.

Me and my husband went for GC interview yesterday. We also brought our 18 month old son with us. Everything was going smooth. Officer called us in the room. She ask us few questions about how we met, ask about my past visas. I enter as J1 then change to B2, then was trying to get F1, but was denied. So I overstayed about 5 years now. Then she looked through photo album, went to make a copies of some supportive evidence ( bills, bank statements.etc.). When she came back she told me: "Congratulation, you will receive your Green Card in 10 days" Then she ask me questions from I -485 Part 3 form, and gave me an envelope, in which I should send my I-765 back. She show us our way out and congrat us 1 more time.

Well, today I received a notice to appear for the second Interview and submit additional evidence, including I-601 Waiver of Inadmissibility because of fraud or misrepresentation. :o

I am so frustrated now :( Was that just a mistake?

Does anyone else being in situation like this?

  9. Hi everyone,

I recived my interview for I-485 and I already god EAD card. The only thing that is bothering me is my I-130 is still had not being approved. It had not being touch online since August and I did not get any letters. Is anyone else have a similar situation. Should I go to INFOPASS to request approval letter. Is it nescecary to have I130 approved before interview?

    Please let me know.

  10. Hi everyone,

I can't check status online for my I-485. It is keep saying that Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. I am sure I put right number. My other forms(I-130 and I-765) are showing since Aug 18.

Also, I had my biometrics done 2 weeks ago, but there is no touch up on my I-765. Everyone here seems to get touch up next day after biometrics.

Is anyone else there have a similar situation? I am getting nervous.
