  1. hello there all

my fiance received a letter stating that she must pick up the dna results for her and her son and take to the embassy, we were quite thrilled that this would be the very last obstacle to her getting the visa in her hands, but when she got there she was told that a letter was sent to her stating that she must retake the medical because time had run out and she was not in compliance, but all along we have been diligent in taking care of all the required forms in good time but this dna test which is required because she has a young son was sent to the embassy the 10 of july ,and she was not contacted until the 6th of august by mail definitely putting her past the medical deadline, and this is just another hurdle since our case was filed may 08 , but when it got to the embassy the real difficulties began, and after many of her visits to the embassy and not seeing the same case worker it has been very demoralizing for her!!! why is it that an ofw or a rock star such as arnel pineda can get there case moved so quickly? "money"? having a 2nd medical could that be another way to make more "money" ? in these hard economic times? I ponder that thought I could be wrong, anyways thats my visa journey update!

ps I will not give up on her and I will stand by her side even though I am far from her!

thanks in advance for any comments!

  2. hello vj members

my fiance is going to manila for her medical january 6th as a walk in, I advised her to take her notice she received from the embassy and the ds-156, question: will these be all the documents she will need for the medical? and also she will pay the $131 fee at the banco de oro, and once she is finished she will call to make an interview appointment! question #2 is she doing this in the correct order?

thank you all for the advice that I have received on previous posts and thanks in advance for any replys to this post!

    hello karen 84

me and jessa filed with the downloaded vj forms and on may 6th got the noa #1 and on sept. 26th received noa#2 and on oct. 6th received a letter from the nvc that our file will be forwarded to manila embassy" so far so good and we decided this was best to avoid beomg ripped off by a shady lawyer and probably saved $$$$$ so you see that it can be done with the help of others on this great vj forum!

    take care and good luck

and please fill in your timeline it is important to estimate process times for others!

  7. When I stumbled onto the vj site, it was then me and my fiance realized that we really did'nt need an attorney for the K1 visa and probably saved thousands of $ And proof of this is that we have already received our noa#2 approval " (check our time line)" And we pride ourselves for what we accomplished thru the help of visa journey and it's members! so by all means click on the links to the visa guides and start reading, just pay attention to detail and you will find that it really is not that difficult!!!

    good luck

  8. hello vj's

I checked the USCIS website this morning and entered my receipt # and saw that there was no change to my status" After that I logged on and was very happy to see the new update sept. 26, 2008 " so I knew just from reading the posts on VJ I would see our NOA#2 very soon! so I waited 3 hours and checked my email and got a message from CRIS about our approval" all I have to say is that I am so proud of my fiance jessa" the way she handled all the necessary paperwork so well on her end! thank god for this treasure of a woman that I am so lucky to have in my life! and also thank you vj"s for your support on our visa journey!
