It's good!
California is much, much, faster than Vermont. Your application will be processed much faster than those of us stuck in Vermont.
Good luck!
Hello,
Thank you for your response. Yes we filed both and I just spoke to an officer in USCIS about why did this happen and they told me because we had an approved case that we submitted (I-29F) back in Aug, 2005 which we found to be the wrong form since we have a merraige contract in Jordan and our case belongs to California and had to be sent back to California. I don't believe that this would be the case of all other filers simply because they concider our case special situation as we have been approved before. I did not post my timeline yet because it is such a mess and it might confuse other people. The officer him self told that California is faster in processing and in there system our case was recieved by their office on 9/29/2008. We should be approved inshallah within the 180 from this date.
I hope I was help to you.
Thank You!

I just checked on my case and there is a message from the INS on my case that as follows;
Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing because it has jurisdiction over the case.
On December 22, 2008, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case has been sent to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
I am so confused on what this means? If anyone can help explaining what this means or if it ever happened to someone please let me know. I also want to know when something like this happens does the 180 days of processing fall from the time we recieved the reciept from the vermont center or the case goes back to day one again from the day california center gets it back. Please I really need help with this if anyone knows let me know.
Thank You!

I think you are just confused, here is what happened, you sent your!-30 petition to USCIS lockbox.
USCIS processed your application (Your check and application signature) at the lockbox and sent your case to the service center that covers your state in this case it’s Vermont Service Center.
Your case never been to California Service center, this is going to be long journey man so you many need to concentrate to avoid delay in the near future.
Thank You for the info but I am not confused about the case being in california first because everything I got before claims that, but now the case went to VCS as I was informed recently.
Thank you and good luck to all of us..

Hello everyone,
I just received the NOA from the INS office that they have received my paperwork back and my case was sent to the Vermont Center, before my case was at the California center but now it changed to the Vermont Service Center and this is a copy of the information on the USCIS web sight.
Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN
Current Status: Case received and pending.
On October 2, 2008, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
My question is, is this good news that the application is Vermont Service Center and how do you think this would take? This is the link to all my story for FYI.http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=153980

Hello everyone,
I had a quick question regarding the I-864. I will be having my sister and her husband as a sponsor since I didnt make enough last year. They don't live with me so they will be filling out form I-864 and I-864A (I know I need a I-864 for myself as well). Neither of them has their W-2's but I do have their tax transcripts for the past 3 years. For question 24 and 25 do I need to put their individual income? If so, does that mean I will need to wait until they get copies of their W-2's?
Thanks for the help!

It took one year and we did not hear anything so I decided to consult a lawyer about whats is going on with our case. I was informed that there is no way for the Ins to accept the K1 visa since the marriage is considered valid so we submitted new K3 visa through a lawyer so everything can be right and he can be with me as soon as possible. I did all the I-130 form in April, 2007 and got the first Noa after 40 days and did not hear anything from them until in January, 2008 they requested a copy of my finance's Birth Certificate and I gave it to the lawyer to send back to the INS. Again I did not hear anything from them so I called the INS about a month ago and they said that they sent the G-325 back for me to correct them and send it back to them and they also asked for copies of the marriage certificate in Arabic and the translation and new pictures for me which I know for sure everything was sent with the paperwork that the lawyer sent to them. So I decided to do everything my self because no lawyer knows what he does. I sent the paperwork in Sept 15th, 2008 and got it back because in one of the blank areas I wrote none instead of N/A. I just mailed everything back to them on 27th of Sept, 2008 and hoping they will have no more surprises for us. If you can advise please do so..Thank You!

Hi everyone,
This is how our story starts...I would like to warn you that this might never happened to anyone before.
I went to Jordan in February of 2005, and it was not easy to get engaged to the love of my life Aboodti, finally after 11 days we got engaged in Jordan and we were the happiest love birds alife..
after we got engaged basically the middle eastern way. I came back and left my love behind
to start the immigration paper work from Texas. I submitted the paper work as soon as I got back from Jordan. I sent the paperwork in April of 2005, got the Noa1 after 30 days and it took until Aug to get the approval and paperwork back in Oct, 2005 and an interview was set for May 29th, 2006. At the interview he was informed that the K1 visa cannot be approved because we have a formal paper from court that they accept as we are married since the relationship between USA and Jordan is good and "Kateb Ktab" is marriage. I contacted the American embassy in Jordan by email to find out what did really happen and they told me that the K1 for is wrong and I have to submit the K3 visa since we are considered married. I was told that I had to wait for the paperwork to get to USA so I can send the K3 visa. I submitted the K3 paperwork and I was informed by the INS that they might consider the K1 visa we sent first and everything was put on hold until I hear from the INS in USA.
WE ARE APPROVED !!!!!!!!!!!!
