Call or email NVC stating that you never received an email. Also, Confirm they got the correct email id.
Just wait for the mail they sent I guess, assuming so many things can be very stressful indeed.RelaxMy wife checked her email but there is no mail from NVC as such, the message says they mailed it on 11th sep
-
The original documents that you didnt submit to NVC, check your interview letter. For us we had to submit the original birth certificate, 2 photos and pay the vfs courier fees.
hey, we have interview date July 17 for CR1 spouse visai sumitted I864 affidavit of support with tax return copy to NVC and got it approved.
then, i submitted ds 230 with all original requested documents and is approved.
what does my wife have to submit at VFS office in Ahmedabad 10 days before interview? Only the missing documetns listed on appointment letter.
or copies of all documents already submitted to NVC should be again sumitted to VFS, like sponsor, etc/
How does that work?

CR1 question. What type of forms does the immigrant need to fill in at POE? is it only the us custom declaration form that has to be filled out??

Thank you champi!!! this will help a lot.
Here is my husband's interview experience at Chennai, India05:20am - Got up
06:10am - Left Hotel and took auto to Consulate
06:20am - Reached at consulate
They only allow starting the waiting queue after 6:30 so they were asked to go to nearby bus stand.06:35am - Stood in line, couple of people already there. Regardless of what time you get there, they ask you to stand in line based on interview time. So, my husband repeatedly told me to mention that there is no need to go there early.
06:50am - Receptionist or some lady checked the interview letter and passport then proceeded security checkin. Again, no sealed envelop or battery related things allowed. My husband didn't notice anyone having hard time
07:00am - entry into consualte. For immigration visa, they were directly sent to 1st section, while other visa types (B1, Visitors, etc) had additional check to go through.
08:00am to 08:00am - wait
08:00am - Collected interview letter's first page from everyone and were slided under one of the intervidew window
08:30am - Indian officer interview (window 7) (called in any random order)
A. Reviewed all documents that she had fromNVCB. Asked for following documents: 2 passport photos, passport, wedding invitation, wedding pictures (asked to pick 15-20 pics), 2008 tax extension, 2007 tax return (since we didn't file 2008 taxes).C. Returned IBM paycheckD. Asked following Question- wife name?- who is petitioner?- Have you ever visited US?- Your B1 visa will be canceled.E. Asked to sign DS-230 (#28 in native language, and on 4th page in english)F. Gave pink color token with number and was asked to write name, address(address is the one where you want passport to be received), phone # (mobile/land line), email addresses, on it09:00am - Window # 11: Finger print (called based on token #) in any random order.
10:00am - American officer called, asked Hi, how are you, and reviewed documents
- when did you marry?- where is your wife staying, north carolina?- You're working in IT field?- Do you plan to join same company in US?- Photo joya- Your visa approved!!!- returned wedding photos, Birth Certificate, and Marriage Certificateby 10:20am - out of consulate, as far as my husband can tell, no one was rejected as far as we know
My husband stayed at Oriental Inn - 15mins walk (2km) - Rs.2000, standard/AC/Clean

1st or 2nd week of July more than likely. Call NVC and ask them if they have a interview date for you!!
hey to all VJ members, thanksMy case completed May 19, 2009. When should I expect interview what week of July? Should it be early, mid, or late July?
Embassy is Bombay, India
Regards
I would guess early...
-
With my i-864 documents[petitioner] i didnt send them any proof of american citizenship [passport copy or naturalization copy]
I dont remember reading that it was requirement to sent it. Weird - that they give you a RFE for that.
My case got completed with out any issues.
Anyways when I-130 got filed, citizenship docs were sent USCIS at that time.
-
Interview scheduled for June also
-
It looks like you are doing K3? Anyways i guess you also applied for I-130
If both gets approved at the same time, i reccomend going with I-130.
For I-130, if you filed this from here in US - NVC here will be the one assigning the interview.
For K3 - NVC forwards everything to the embassy in India and the embassy will schedule the interview date.
Hi VJis there any way to find out which interview dates are available... Anyone whose consulate is delhi and whose application recently reached delhi which date have you got?
Thankyou
-
After the case completes with NVC, they will schedule a interview date with US consulate in India. If you need to find out whether you can get a earlier date, call NVC and ask them if its possible. " Only do this, after your case completes"
There is no way to pre check the date, only NVC and consulate have the information on whats available or not.
As atk mentioned, Consulate will post the monthly appointment list. They just posted one for June.
Hi VJis there any way to find out which interview dates are available... Anyone whose consulate is delhi and whose application recently reached delhi which date have you got?

Nope.....As far as I know we can't check what days are available.....
But I know that Chennai consulate puts their appointment on their website ,doesnt know if dehli does the same....

I actually waited till my nvc case to complete and we did recieve all my k3 instructions via email and by mail. We just ignored K3 - and after recieving the interview date for I-130 i emailed the embassy saying we are opting out but did not get any reply back from them.
Hi Keralian NY and others,I got my I129f and I130 approved on march16th 2009 and my case was forwarded to mumbai consulate on Apr 8th2009.My IR1 is near completion at NVC and I dont want to continue with K3 so my question is should I email mumbai consulate to cancel K3 or wait for case completion here.
My husband did not get any packet 3 from mumbai so he emailed them on april 22nd 2009 ,they emailed him a letter with instructions to download packet 3 and send but as we decided not to pursue it ,we never send packet 3 back to the consulate .
So we dont have any Interview letter from mumbai consulate yet as we didnt send packet 3 back.Do we still have to write to them thet we would like to pursue IR1 or K3 would cancel by itself?
Anyhelp is greatly appreciated.
Thanks and all the best in your journey

Call the embassy - they should be able to correct that address issue. Also find out when they send the mail to your fiance..
OMG. I found out what was wrong. I called up the NVC and even the Washinton D.C. office to find out what's going on. They told me the consulate in Ho Chi Minh received the packet on April 20th. They were waiting for a response from my fiancee. My fiancee told me she didn't receive anything. Anyway, I think there is a bit of a mix up on the address part. A part of her address suppose to be F6.Q6, but instead it said P6.Q6. What am I suppose to do now? They told me I should contact the Ho Chi Minh consulate office. You think they can resend the packet to the correct address? However, isn't P6 and F6 the same? Someone in Vietnam experience please tell me. Would just someone like that mess things up? -
For I-129, All of the communication will come from US embassy in India. In my case we received an appointment letter via email and beneficiary received the interview document by mail in India.
If you got both I-129 and I-130 approved at the same time and you have all the documents in your hands - i would go with CR-1 route. With CR-1, the person lands US as a permanent resident.
In my case both got approved on the same day and i waited till NVC case to complete for CR-1 and then i emailed Indian - US embassy saying that we are opting out from I-129.
Sample email to cancel i-129 : find out the email address from Mumbai US embassy website.

I HAVE ALSO POSTED THIS ON K3 FORUM (just FYI)Dear Friends.........advice needed.........
I have received the letter from NVC stating I129 approved and packet will be forwarded to my wife in india
I am now planning to do the CR1, but timeline might be an issue if I don't get the paperwork through via NVC to get a CR1 interview date on time to cancel K3. Any advice?
At what stage can I call NVC and let know about my situation and what can I say to them that I would like to pursue the CRI...... is cancelling K3 to pursue CR1 an issue? Can I and should I cancel K3?
- NVC case number has been assigned for my i130 case. For what automated message on NVC phone can I email DS-3032 and start requesting the IIN. I hope the sending the Agent choiec via email works?
- Do I have to send originals of the documents with DS-230? I am little worried about sending originals, can I sent certified by the Indian government copies to th NVC? did anyone have success with sending the certified copies?
- Any experience with Mumbai embassy? average time to get CR1 interview once NVC receives NOA2?
Thanks
Best Wishes for you and all your loved ones

Thank you champi, i forgot to put that. You are correct, will need to take the vfs receipt also..
One thing I see missing in this list is VFS Receipt. I am not sure if they ask for it or not, but better be safe and carry it with you since you'll be carrying everything else anyway.. -
I prepared the following table of contents listings of documents that needs to be carried during the interview. Please let me know if i am missing something. All of our processing got completed through NVC.

If NVC sent a mail to you, call them and find out if they have a case # for your K1 and also ask whether your info was forwarded to the embassy. For my K3, NVC sent me a mail saying that the case has been forwarded to the embassy and embassy will mail the details. I recieved a interview appointment email from the embassy with attachments and also embassy sent a mail to the beneficiary. After the approval;for us It took a month to recieve the email and another 1 more week beneficiary to recieve the instruction packet through mail from the embassy.
This was K3, not sure if there is a big difference for K1..
The NVC sent me their letter dated April 8th, 2009. It stated that my fiancee will soon receive information from the consulate. It's been more than a month now. She has yet to receive anything. I sent an email to the NVC, but haven't got a reply yet. When I received the letter from the NVC like I did, I shouldn't have to do anything right? I just wait? Is my wait about right? What does this all mean? I hope my fiancee will get some answer soon. If she still doesn't receive anything by end of June, I'm going to be very worried. Please shed some light on this for me. Thanks. -
The requirement is to sent the beneficiary's passport biographic page along with the other ds230 documents. Is there a reason why you want to include the residency card?
I dont think you need to include that...
My husband was wondering if he needs to include a copy of his French residency card along with a copy of his Moroccan passport in the DS 230 packet? -
Hope you read my reply to your other post. As i mentioned in your other post, same thing happened to me also. If the operator told you that your documents are currently under review and if everything is fine then they will close the case soon. Call them tomorrow morning and get a confirmation again that they are looking at your docs and it is a false RFE email message. I also got the email saying DS230 documents missing. AVR doesnt get updated regularly, and from now on it's a good idea to keep the communication with the live operator.
hey, please need help.I mailed my I-864 and next day mailed DS230.
last week, it said Ds 230 received and under review, but AVR says missing documents
Today, in morning, operator said DS 230 received and under review, AV R still says missing documents. operator confirmd no missing documents.
Today in evening I recieved e-mail from NVC checklist stating DS 230 I missing. I submitted everything/ How's that possible.
What should I do
-
There is a possiblity that you may have paid IV[DS230] fee online early before you got the IV bill email from NVC. I checked your timeline and it appears that's what happened. I had the same issue and i had to call NVC a few times and they finally forwarded it to a supervisor for review and then my case got completed in a few days. It appears that one of their system shows paid and the other one's shows not paid.
I would advice you call and speak to an operator [bad annoying operator? call back again and speak to a different person] and they will need to forward it to supervisor review. Also, I doubt you will now get a june interview... We got a June end interview like 2 weeks back.
Hey Everyone<I submitted everything April 28 and was expecting June interview. But it just got posted on Bombay consulate and our file number is not on it.
We submitted every DS230 with evidence document April 28. NVC AVR system said it received on May 5 and pending review. Then, NVC system says "NVC has reviewed documents and found information misssing. A checklist of missing documents was generated on May 12, 2009 and will arrive in net 4-6 weeks." When I called NVC, they say we have DS 230 but it's may not yet be reviewed by NVC.
SO does anyone know what's causing this delay as I submitted DS230 April 28 and still pending review. Still no case complete to this date. Please help.

NWD = New Delhi --> http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/visa_interview_dates.html <check the may link> I don't think you will get the June interview, looks like a july -august
Agreed. I think your interview is in New Delhi. But I'd call NVC to be sure. Speak to an agent.
Good luck.
^^ Agreed. Call NVC and they should be able to tell you. As far as a date goes, it is consulate specific. Some are busier than others so the wait varies. You may be looking at anything from June to July /August but again it depends on the case load at your particular consulate. Good luck
thanks a lot dear............................
