  1. did anyone had an addtional vaccine? i just came to see a surgeon they told that i should take the whole medical exam again and i needed some additional vaccine...any suggestion? really need help...thanks

When you apply to adjust status in the States, assuming you as a K-1 holder apply within one year of the original medical, you need I-693.The instructions to form I-693 say: What if I am a K nonimmigrant visa holder and had a medical exam overseas?

If you were admitted as a K-1 fiancé(e), or K-2 child of a K-1 fiancé(e),You are not required to have another medical examination as long as your form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status,is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination.

Here's where it gets tricky! Some people have submitted a DS-3025 (obtained overseas at your medical documenting your vaccinations) with their AOS package and have NOT received RFE's. Some HAVE. If you want to be absolutely safe in terms of your medical documentation as a K-1 adjusting status, you should take your DS-3025 to a USCIS-certified civil surgeon and ask them to transfer the information from your DS-3025 to an I-693. They should do this for a nominal charge. If they try to tell you you need a full medical examination, DO NOT LISTEN. You ONLY need the vaccination part. The following memo from the USCIS documents that this completed form will remain valid.

i called the USCIS and they told i dont need to submit the I-693 because its already been done in the Phils. and its included in the envelope you submit at the immigration officer upon arrival in th U.S

  2. hey jury..

i had the same problem and frustration too..

2 days after i got the notice online i received a letter from them which stated the documents i still need to submit.with my case,

they basically just need more evidence like plane tickets/reciepts with time, date& place..as well as your passport pages with stamps...they want to make sure that you and your fiance/e met.

did you send the documents i mentioned when you sent your application?

just wait for the mail because when i called immigration, she said it's unique with every applicant.

it took me 3days for a response from them...and 1 more day for their response for approval.

    good luck!

  3. hey robertjay, you said your fiancee got her visa on October??

we're still on the month of September right?..

btw,i finally got an email yesterday and we got approved!YAY!

    thanks for your reassurance!hehehe..

what they really wanted were tickets, receipts or passport pages with stamps..i should have thought about that when i sent the application...anyway,i'm still waiting for the mail they're going to send..

    thanks again robertjay!

GOOD LUCK to other April filers!
