I'm flying to my country to Turkey tomorrow with my husband. (having a Turkish wedding on Sunday since my family couldnt attend to our wedding last year;P) It's gonna be the first time I'm traveling with my green card.All I need to bring is my green card and my passport right?

hey guys I finally got my greencard.apparently I've been a resident since may 19th but I just recieved my card on july 3rd....im so happy that finally this hassle is over of course until next year i guess...is it 90 days before our 2nd year anniverseray or before the green card approval date, we have to apply again to lift the conditions up?

I got a second email saying card production ordered on June 15th which my previous one was on May 19th. I read it on the USCIS website they are updating their system so the GC might take up to 2 months vs 1 month.So I guess that is why I got the second mail and maybe this time I will recieve it in 2 weeks....congrats to everyone who recieved their greencards recently...

hey guys!I just wanted to share with you that I got a email saying "card production ordered"...I am so happy it is so close to be finally over:))))

we went to infopass today and funny but we had the same guy that we talked prior to my interview.he remembered us too and he was like"you guys like driving all the way from naples I guess".I said we just want to get it over with.i told him how the IO told us if I brought the medical my case will process the same day.he asked the name of the IO but we didn't know.so after we described her he was lie "oh I know who she is she is nice".so he said he will go talk to her, he was kind of surprised that she told us it would process the same day.he took it back to the IO and handed to her.she told him to tll us she will work on it tomorrow and I should be getting my card in 20 days.so I am hoping really this time my medical is not screwed up and finally I will receive my greencard in 20 days. I asked him if I am supposed to mail my work permit but he said to keep it not to send it.so I don't know I can't wait till this process is over.

hey guys, I finally received that stupid letter asking for me to resubmit my complete medical.it says on the first page sent the documents by May 12.

i already had a infopass appointment for the 5th of may..Do you think I should hand it over at my infopass?I remember the IO telling me if I go over there my case will be processed that day. But is that mean I have to go on the 12th of may?should I just mail it?

I am still waiting for that notice to arrive. I'm trying to make an infopass but the closest open one is on may 5th.

Sorry guys for all the troubles you are having because somebody else messed up. That's so unfair.

ECK are you talking to someone at your local office? It seems that they should have given you an address to send straight to them since that interview lady is the one who will need your papers. I would make an infopass appointment soon and take the medical papers with me in case it's at the same location as your interview. Or maybe they can call and send the medical papers for you to your interview location.

Our case is still "pending" at CSC and the last touch was Feb 17 according to the USCIS website. But the green card arrived in the mail a week ago. So I would forget even checking online status. It's just not being updated by CSC. Maybe other places are doing their job, but CSC isn't putting in their info it seems.

Thank you Nich-Nick. the infopass I'm going to make is in the same place,I did that before.they requested us to make an infopass but it was a mistake so we went there for nothing a week before our interview.So I'm going to wait till the 16th then I will make an infopass if I stil don't have the paper.

She told me after the interview to wait 3 months and if I don't hear anything then I should make an infopass.Then as I was hangin up she said congratulations on your I 45. tthese people make me so confused.I guess I'll just wait little bit more.

Well, the good news is, if you end up receiving this RFE (not everyone does) and if you have insurance, it should "only" cost you $180 or so as the insurance usually covers blood tests and x-rays.

But yes, it sucks. I had all this done in France, if I hadn't I couldn't have received my visa! It's a waste of time and money.

I've already completed my medical which cost me about $800.00 (insurance covered only $150.00) and I had my interview.My doctor didn't include my xray report and he didn't write the name of the institution and therefore the IO told me that is theonly problem and that's why my case is still pending;(she told me she was going to send me that letter you recieved and gave me a copy of the second page at the interview.It's been a month I still haven't recieved that RFE.I already got the new medical from my dotor which they forgot to include the xray report again and luckily I caught it right before they sealed the envelope.now I'm waiting for that notice so I can resubmit the form;(

the funny thing is they never sent me RFE while my case was being processed before my interview...

that is the RFE I've been waiting for.This is making me so mad.still waiting...

I called USCIS of course the guy on the phone had no idea what I was saying.I asked him why I haven't recieved the mail requesting for me to resubmit the medical and he read to me On October 16 th we recieved blah blah blah....I was like I had my interview but he just told me I should wait till it is 6 month.My case is not outside the processing time.Man I was getting so mad on the phone.Then I asked him why the case online haven't gotten updated yet for my I-130 (which I got the approval letter but it still says pendin online), once again he read me what it says online.I just said thanks and hang up.I'm gonna wait till the 16th of April that is when it will be 6 months and then I'm making a infopass and taking my medical with me.This is so ridicilous how long does it take to mail a notice.It's been a month today.

how to resubmit my medical. She did give me a copy of the second page so I just took that to the doctor yesterday so they can start working on it.

I recieved my I-130 approval though I think few days ago.

How long does it take to send a mail I'm getting worried again. I might just make an infopass if it doesn't come in couple weeks.The I130 still hasn't been updated though on online case status, nor on the automated phone system.

Hey guys!!!I think we got approved:)

the interview was overall good.We swore in first and then she went through some questions on the petions.She asked my husband for his birth certificate and my license.then asked me why i got a duplicate license.i told her we just moved so she updated my application.then she asked my husband his birthday to confirm and asked me to confirm my birthday and where i was born.she asked if we have kids.she asked if my husband has petioned for anybody before.she asked me if anybody petioned for me before and i told her i had a greencard when i was a baby through my mom and also later on i was on my moms petition as beneficery.she asked my husband if he has ever seen my baby picture.(i was like what the hell:P)he said yes.i thought she wanted to make sure that he prepared the folders with me since i had a copy of my green card that i had when i was a baby.so then she shows him a paper "have you seen this one before?"i looked at i was like "wow i didn't even see that one".so yea it was the application that was put in for me when i was like a month old and that was the pic.then she asked when my F1 visa expires i said it expired already,actually it expired while i was entering the us but i was given a visa waiver.so i handed that to her.(i know i was very very lucky)then she asked about the opt i told her that expired this january and i have the EAD based on the I-485.so then she asked my husband how did you make the decisioin to marry me.man my husband froze for a second(he doesnt really like talking other people how he feels;P)so at this mometn i had a big smile on my face.then he was like well i love her, she makes me feel very good,when the times are hard she is there for me..i was like "aww" and he was kinda getting red:)so then she was like thats good but what was that moment that spark made you ask her.so he started "well when we were living together at Gainesville we were deciding where to move.i wanted jacksonville,she wanted naples.so we ended up in naples:)after we move i realized even though i dont like naples,i'm very happy with her.so I realized it didn't matter where I am as long as I am with her and that's when I decided to ask her to marry me" I had this huge smile.then she turned to me and said "see I'm asking that for your benefit"I said it is nice to hear things like that ))then she said "well I have one problem with your case"an dmy heart dropped (i saw a tab saying no info in my folder).she said my medical wasn't completed all the way by the doctor ,the doctor signed and dated but didn't put his name or the hospital's name.and he didn't include my xray copy.so she said that's the only thing holding your case to process,once we get that the card will be in the mail (at least this is what I heard:P)so she said ssincfe you live all the way in naples you don't need to ocme back you can just mail that document or if you prefer to come then your case will be processed that day.so i asked if there is gonna be second interview and she said no all we need is the medical to be signed and the report for the xray.so then she asked for the stuff we have our names on it and i started to hand all these copies and bills.she said i dont need all of them just the copies i can take.i said they are all copies for you:)then she asked about the photos i showed her the album i made since the day we started.then she asked to keep some of them i said you can take whichever you prefer but she said i rather you choose..then i was handign some of them explaining "this was our first kiss" she was like "u sure u wanna give me that pic?" "I was like no actually I don't "then my husban and I chose some pics while she was updating everything.then she was like well you have a very big folder (they had everything from my old cases also).she was gonna have us wait to give this notice saying i need to resubmit the medical and how but then she was nice ands aid well you waited enough i'll just give you this copy.then she sshook our hands and said she will still mail us a notice giving a time for us to bring the medical or to send the medical by that date.then she walked out with us and said drive safe:)now I am happy it wasn't my fault but I am pissed about this medical thing.I mean these doctors are the ones that do this kind of stuff all the time and he had to make a mistake on mine.and why I have never gotten a REF about this I have no idea.at least when they asked me to fo to infopass last week (by msitake!!!!) they should have told me or something.so now I am waiting for the notice and then I don't know if I will take it over there or just overnight the medical.

so I am so happy that this thing is over at least we are done with our interview.but still I can't jump up and down untill I get that approved notice or the card .

ok so I have a kind of stupid question:)I made copies of every document and I am bringing both the originals and the copies with us to the interview.when they ask for a document do I show the copy of that document or the original?I mean if they want to keep it do they ask me if they can keep it or if i have a copy?

or should I just hand them the copies and if they ask the originals then show the originals???

Hello everyone!!

I went to InfoPass yesterday.I brought all my paperwork with me just in case they wanted to see them before my interview date which is next friday.

Well I showed him the notice saying I was asked to make an infopass appointment,so here I am.

He was like "I've never seen a notice like this whoever sent it to you, made a mistake.Just come back for your interview date next friday bring all your documents.Everything is fine."

So we left.:)I was kinda mad that we went there for nothing but again relieved that nothing was wrong with my petition.At least now I know where the place is and what to expect (well kind of;)))

I have all my documents now put together.I can't wait till this is over.Good luck to everyone who has their interview apointments soon!!!

Finally, I recieved the Green Card today....

Well so I scheduled an infopass for the 27th of February.that was the closest date I could get.and my interview date is a week after that.

I'm kinda freaked out, I don't know why they wanted me to go to infopass before my interview. I guess I'll find out.

I'm getting everything ready and taking them with me to the infopass though.

I do have a question about the interview.What happens at the end of the interview?They sometimes stamp the passport sometimes not?

Or even they don't tell you if you are approved??(that's just cruel) If they don't stamp the passport does that mean I'm not approved???

So I called the NVC and didn't get an explanation for the notice they have sent me.But I made an infopass appointment just in case.

The earliest date I could get is 27 February. I'm gonna bring everything I would bring to the interview just in case.

I'm just worried why they want me to go to Infopass appointment if they are gonna interview me on March 6th anyways.
