I dont know about you guys, but me and my husband were apart for 4 years before we were able to afford to file the K-1 visa. I have three kids and we did it the smart way instead of rushing it, well smart for us.. It was hard, and once we were able to file that k1 visa everything went smoothly. Then the AOS went smooth and a lot faster than we thought it would. Then two years came and went and this filing has been smooth for us as well, well except for the part where they spelled his name wrong on his new GC lol. But thats an easy fix.....
My point to all of this is, we have all waited so long and have been through so much, then this is nothing. If you worry about something you dont have any control over you only make yourself miserable and you waste the time you have at that moment. Be happy that your wife or husband is with you and you are able to wait together, I guess I still think on the time when I had to wait for all of this with us apart. I hope that everyone elses time comes swiftly, but if it doesnt just be happy that you have your significant other right there beside you.

GAH!!! Just noticed on his greencard they misspelled his name......his noa has the correct spelling, so sometime between then and now they changed the a in Damien to an i calling him Dimien............ffs lol. His 2 year GC is correct his noa is correct and now i see his biometric had the typo and i didnt see it. Luckily its not our fault and I can send it back to get a reprint, and it doesnt effect his status, just have to wait to get a new one. So frustrating.

Well, I have my sweethearts Greencard in my hand!!!
So glad this is over......atleast for 10 years. lol. -
Well we woke up to amazing news this morning, I rushed in to wake up my husband crying haha, he thought something was wrong with the kids, and I was like no silly i said your card was ordered! So as of yesterday our green card was approved!! /happydance!
On February 11, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Called the 1800 number earlier this week and here is what I was told.
The processing date shown on the website is apparently an estimate. Customer service will not be able to make an enquiry until the processing date is 30 days beyond the NOA date.
For instance my NOA date is June 7 and therefore they will not be able to make enquiries regarding delays until CSC starts processing applications from July 8 2012!!!
I hope I wont have to stop working because I did not get my application approved. Frustrated
Dont worry about not being able to work. If it gets to the time that your greencard is about to expire just make an info pass at your local office where you went for biometrics and get them to put a stamp for extension. It wont affect your work. We were worried about this as well and thats what they told us to do lol. Hopefully it wont be that long but better to know what to do just in case. <3

USCIS just updated their processing time. Looks like they are processing June 8, 2012. Ugh... so slow.
Sooo PAINFUL! LOL. I just checked our account and we havent even been touched yet. Still says 6/11/2012......... Makes me want to scream into my pillow haha.

Just received our biometrics appointment letter yay! Notice date is 7/5, appointment date is for 8/2.

I changed my husbands address online, but had to mail in mine. I received a letter from my address change but not my husbands. We were a little worried until we received his NOA1 at this address, addressed to him. So the change online went through ok, but we never received a notice from his change. Good luck!

Thanks Julie. Yours looks pretty good too. I agree on the stress part. I did feel a little relieved when I mailed it, or I would be going over it again.
I put it in the envelope to mail and actually took it back out again just to flip through it one more time haha. After my husband got off work we went out to a nice dinner to celebrate me not flipping through it anymore lol.

I originally posted on May filers as I intended to send the package on 5/30, but someone suggested I start the June page. Well, thank you for beating me to it
Anyway, I sent the ROC on June 1st and it arrived on June4th. Can anyone please update with my dates? I don't wanna take the risk of erasing you all...lol.
Below is my original post with the supporting documents, should anyone care to comment. We did the best we could, and hopefully it is enough. Good luck to all of you.
Pressure is building up as I am gathering evidence for I-751. My conditional card expires on 8/25/2012 and I am mailing my package on 5/30/2012. This is my list for you to look at and let me know what you think:
- I751
- Personal Check ($590)
- Copies front and back of GC
- Copy of the reminder notice for me to file.( Did anyone get this?)
- 3 Affidavits from neighbors and friends.
- Joints tax returns for 2011,2010.
- Joint warranty deed of a small property.
- Joint house lease agreement.
- Joint car/RV titles.(Recent and current).
- Joint car loan contract.
- Most recent joint checking and savings accounts statement.
- Letter from hubby's employer ( with attached proof of medical and life insurance coverage, both previous and current, stating me as beneficiary)
- Copies of both our Driver's licenses.
- Copies of our car insurance cards for all vehicles.
- Last 2 water bills in both our names.
- Last car note and internet bill in just my name.
- copies of Sam's club cards.
- Copies of Good Sam club cards.
Please let me know your comments as I am very anxious and I don't wanna do anything wrong.I wish they would just visit and judge by themselves

I think your list looks pretty solid! I sent mine out this morning and was glad to have it gone, I've been worrying myself to death going over and over it. Now that its sent, Im not so stressed, we got an rfe on our aos packet and was actually grateful that they sent the list to tell us what they wanted lol. I think the hardest part is its almost like shooting in the dark and you just send what you think is solid evidence. Everyones packet is different, so you never know if they will accept it or not. This is what we sent:
-cover letter outlining what was in the packet signed by both of us
-i751 with 590 check attached
-two affidavits from his boss and a friend that has known us for 7years
-two rental lease agreements
-tax transcripts for 2010 and 2011
-joint checking and savings statements
-3 printouts from my childrens school stating he is the co-guardian, stepdad, and emergency contact for all three of my kids
-joint health insurance
-copy of his greencard, our drivers license and a printout from the DOL stating we changed our address on the DL's
-30 pictures over the course of our marriage with his family, my kids, and us at various comic cons with artists we know.
If thats not enough then they will ask for more. We have been together for 6 years all together. So there is nothing we cant prove. Just hope that is enough, if not well then we will send in what they want.

Forgot to state we sent our packet to CSC lol.

Our drivers license have different addresses. We went to the local department of licensing and they printed us out a copy of each record showing our same address where we had changed it, they even put an official state government stamp on it for us. We sent that original paperwork in with the copy of our drivers license. Now that the packet is sent, we are going to go back and get new licenses to show the correct address on them just incase we get a rfe. fingers crossed we wont, but im not too worried if we do, just submit what they ask for.

Yeah, something fishy there. You are still a perm resident, all your paperwork is in and just pending. I would really push this issue with them and show them the extension letter.

Hi everyone! June filer here, well soon to be, printing everything off today and will be shipping it out tomorrow! My husbands GC expires August 12, a few weeks late, but not too worried about it, just wanted to make sure we had everything in order first! Here is a list of what we have put together...
-Cover letter explaining what the packet contains
-check for 590.00
-I-751
-Two affidavits, one from a friend that has known us since before we were together, and the other from his boss from where he has been working since GC was approved two years ago.
-2 Home Lease agreements from our last house and present house that we rent.
-Printed paperwork from my kids schools showing him as co-guardian, Step dad, and emergency contact. 3 kids in total to show ongoing support in our family.
-Joint health insurance
-Joint checking and savings accounts printed first page of the statements, printed pages from our first month we opened, and the most recent month to show nothing has changed.
-Joint tax transcripts for 2010 and 2011
-copy front and back of GC
-copy front and back of both of our drivers license
-2 printed documents from the DOL here in Washington state stating we had changed our addresses on our drivers license to show same address with certified county stamp
-Copy of News paper announcement that my mom wrote announcing our marriage, shows location, date and a picture from our wedding.
-29 pictures documenting our lives over the last two years, from our wedding invitation to present day. Photos with family, our new pets, and the various places we have road tripped to.
I hope this is enough. I went totally overboard on our AOS packet, so I really tried to streamline this one, and put proof in there that had a third party attached to make it a little more solid. I believe we have enough to establish that we are pretty solid as a couple. If it comes up that we need to go in for an interview I am taking my kids along with us. They adore him and are scared to death that he will have to go back, no matter how many times I tell them it will all be ok.
Fingers crossed for all of us that this whole thing goes smoothly!

Yay! Congrats! We had our interview at the Seattle office as well last week and were approved, they are very nice over there, and quiet speedy as well. Our interviewer was more concerned with my past divorce than she was with me and Damo being a true couple. She looked at our Wedding album, asked how we met. Then it was 15 minutes of her asking about how my divorce happened, when it happened etc. Looked at us like we had two heads cause my ex husband and I are so close, but hey its better for our three kids. I guess she wasnt expecting us to say,"yeah he hangs out with us when he comes over to pick the kids up." Oh well, not all of us can be mean ex wives right? lol. Surprised at the fact that we met on World of Warcraft, and even asked how in the heck I had time to play video games with 3 kids..........sigh I just play with them lol. So plenty O'time to play.

I dont know what I would have done if it wasnt for Visa Journey and the friends that I made on here. I will never forget you guys, the funny stories and a the heartache that we all went through together. <3
