I searched but couldn't find an answer to these questions about form G-325A

1) If there's no province/state, should I write "None"? This is an easy question, so I think I might be rubbish at searching...

2) My wife lived in a small village in the countryside, so small that there are no street addresses. Mail is delivered by addressing it to a person's name and father's name. Any ideas how I could write this in G-325A? This isn't her current mailing address.

My fiance is in the same situation. They have no street names where he lives either. We wrote his physical address just as he would in his country.

Colonia Manuel Gonzalez, Zentla, Veracruz, Mexico.

Then we attached an additional page where we explained about his residential address. Then, we explained his mailing address. When you attach the additional sheet, be sure to refer to which question number on the I129F or G-325A the additional information is relevant to. This should resolve any problems before they start.

I'd put N/A or Not Applicable for the Province/State Part. Do they have any form of Postal/ZIP code system there? If so, you could just write "City Name, ZIP" for the address. I dunno dude, your guess is as good as mine.

They do have postal codes, same as the US. It sounds like N/A for Province/State is the way to go then. Thanks for the advice!

I have had to deal with the embassy in yerevan on two separate immigration issues, and they were absolutely terrible.

Tbilisi seems like a step up on the career ladder DOS-wise, IMO, and so by inference I would expect the staff there to be slightly better.

But thats all inferential and just my 2 cents.

That does make sense. An immigration lawyer expressed a negative opinion about that particular embassy when I called to ask about visa processing. He actually suggested my wife use the embassy in Yerevan instead. I could have misunderstood something though.

However, I've read and heard that the Georgian Consulate is a difficult one: they reject visas without real cause and they are slow to process paperwork. Disorganization is pretty widespread here, and I am hoping to have the paperwork processed in the US in order to avoid as many headaches as possible.

You obviously are not up to speed on the widespread disorganization at the USCIS....

FWIW, you will still deal with the US Consulate in Georgia and they are the final decision makers

Hehe, it would be interesting to see a comparison between the Georgian disorganization and the USCIS disorganization! My money is on Georgia

FYI This doesn't bypass the Consulate. She still goes for the interview there. The CO at the consulate still makes the decision.

Thanks for the info. I figured that was the case. Just wanted to minimize the processing done there.

You can do a US filing as long as you have a mailing address there/ someone who can forward paperwork such as the NOAs for you.

Hello! This is my first time posting here. This is a very helpful forum, and I've already found answers to many of my n00b questions. I do have a question which I haven't found the answer to yet.

Background:

I'm a US citizen and have been living in Tbilisi, Georgia for about 11 months. My wife is Georgian, and we got married in Tbilisi 9 months ago. I'm planning to file an I-130 to get a CR-1 visa for her.

AFAIK, I can use DCF. This should allow my paperwork to be processed faster. Disorganization is pretty widespread here, and I am hoping to have the paperwork processed in the US in order to avoid as many headaches as possible.

Question:

Since I have been in Georgia for almost a year, is DCF my only option for filing? Or can I mail the papers to a USCIS office in the US?

I believe I can prove that I have a residence with family in the US (still checking on this). Should I just consider my stay in Georgia to be a long vacation? I plan on staying in Georgia until my wife and I can both fly to the US.

If anyone has used DCF in Georgia, and it went well, I'd really like to hear about this, too.
