Hi all,
The actual instructions to form I-485, in Evidence 15, part B, state to attach a copy of I-797 (easy), a copy of the marriage certificate (easy), and the form I-94.
Do they mean the actual form, which is stapled into the passport, or will a copy (front and back) suffice?
Cheers!

i think the average is three months and then I should start getting worry
It took me 4 months at CSC, but the official site says that 5 months is the average:

So don't worry--just be patient.

Touch is not 100% accurate. I just received my NOA2 today--and my application hasn't been touched at all, excluding the 1 change-of-address I did over the phone. In fact, the status on the site says "Pending"--while I'm holding the "Approved" notice in my hands.
I filed in March, so hopefully you won't have to wait much longer... Good luck!

Steve,
I found that a combination of two thought patterns works really well. The first is noticing and celebrating every good thing that happens. It's a practical approach to positive thinking: if you're having a good day, but have a brief conversation that makes you smile, note that and realise that even in this situation, you're able to experience joy--so there really are ups after downs.
The second pattern in a step-up from the first one: encourage these positive situations by communicating incredibly frequently: send text-messages, short e-mails, long e-mails, chat on Skype for 3-30 minutes before work and after work. Every reply that you get will become a good thing, a reminder that although both of you are going through this, you're in love and it's all worth it. You'll start looking forward to these interactions, and will start smiling despite the distance.
Good luck, it's really hard, but both of you will get through it, and enjoy undiluted happiness thereafter! :-)

Once again, not saying this guy, or anyone, should do it...... but it happens.
I agree, and I've thought about it in the past, theoretically... But in this case, that idea was never even considered.

It sounds like you were planning on her getting a tourist visa and then marrying once she got here.
Yea, that is what it would have sounded like to the Immigration Officer. Thanks to this site, I had learned in advance not to do that, so that wasn't at all part of the plan, but those things are impossible to prove.
I'll be waiting for that day with impatience.
yes!Once I naturalize, can I apply for K-1 immediately?

Thanks for your replies, everyone!
What should you do to meet now? Go see her or fly her to a neutral location in the Caribbean or something like that, meet her for a nice holiday, and then come back and finish up your naturalization then apply for K-1.That's becoming the updated plan; it'll just take longer to see each other. But we'll be together, one way or another!
Once I naturalize, can I apply for K-1 immediately?

When asked "Where are you going to stay", what should she have said? Why did she mention you? What did she say? -
I am not finished with the process of naturalisation, so I cannot ask for 129-F for my fiancee. Instead, she was trying to get a simple tourist visa to the US. At the embassy, the Immigration Officer typed in my name to the computer, said that there were no records of me in the database, and told her that the visa was declined! He didn't even ask her any questions!
Well, I certainly exist, which bring me to my question: is there any way to revert the decision? Any advice on how we can meet now?
Please clarify: I-94 or its photocopy?
