  1. Well gang, Here is what happened today. I called the Service Center line, and politley dismissed the "Service Rep", and spoke to an IO. Ms Mc****. I wasn't gushy, just polite and to the point. She asked me to hold while she accessed and reviewed ther file. When she returned, she asked if I had requested "Accelerated Processing". I said no, but I had asked one of the call center rep's about the financial hardship aspect, and what the procedure entailed. Apparently the youn lady had applied for the Acceleration on my behalf... that explained the denial leter I received. I had called the Service Center when I get the denial letter, and they said not to worry, since I did not want to persue that avenue anyway. But apparently my file was put in the wrong pile when the Acceleration denial was stamped on it, and was filed as a denied petition... hence the trip to storage. The IO then went on to tell me that I was pretty much stuck for 30 days from the referral request I filed last week (which got someone to notice it was improperly handled as a denied petition), because the system will only allow one referral in a 30 day period. She then gave me a "special" email address that I could use to ask for more details as to what actually happened.

I immediately called my Senator's Office, and spoke to the staffer who had helped me before. when I explained what happened, she said she would speak to the Senate Liaison Officer at the VSC and find out what she could and call me when she had any real info. I was a bit down at this point thinking I was being blown-off again. Buyt at about 1:42, she called me back and said "I promised I'd call with what I found out, so her you go... As of 1:30, your I129F was approved."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jest:

Thanks for all the comments and support. :D

  2. Nope, been in the same house for 11 years, the only thing I can think of is someone misplaced it when my Senator made the inquiry. I hope he can help get us back to the top... after 7 months, being told another 5 months just to get NOA2! Very disheartening. I thought I read somewhere that a request to expedite could be filed when USCIS makes a mistake... Anyone know anything about that?

  3. OK, I gotta ask the experts on this one. Last Monday (8/17) I received an email notification that my file had been sent to an off-site storage facility. I made a few calls to the call center where no one could tell me that was true. In fact they always told me it was "in processing". Today (8/24) I got another email saying it was back at the processing center (VSC) and was now "Reopened" and "...will be put into process based on the date we reopened this case." My original NOA1 was Jan 16. Is there something I can do to get my file put on top of the list? I have no idea why it was listed as closed, nor was I informed it was closed. I even had one of my Senators inquire on the status when it hit the 6 month period (7/16), his office said it was at the top of the list and should soon be processed. On 7/22 and 7/23 USCIS website showed it had been touched. Then nothing, so when the VSC processing time was updated to "5 months" from the "December 30" a few weeks ago, I had my Congressman and the other Senator make inquiries. They both told me 2 weeks ago that my petition was in the processing section, and to allow 30 - 45 days. That was 2 weeks ago.

Any of you "old-timers" got any good dope on how I can get things going?

    Thanks in advance!

  4. 189 days and counting... At least the USCIS website showed some activity, touched the last 2 days. I, like many of you, would love to have access to reliable, updated information... The "not know what's going on" is the hard part. Especially when watching so many others get NOA 2's, and even a few with VISA's in hand, and a great many of them who filed after I did... I don't begrudge anyone mind you, but it's a bit disheartening to say the least.

All things will pass in HIS time... the wait (and weight) of the process seems to be actually making our bond stronger... I hope many others can at least take comfort in that.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE, AND KEEP THE FAITH!!!

  5. Just do not confuse the I-129F continuation/addendum sheets (which do not require original beneficiary signatures) with the G-325A continuation/addendum sheets (which do require original beneficiary signatures). I caught this when I was reviewing my package after it was rejected prior to "Official Resiept" (NOA1). I called USCIS because the rejection letter stated I had not provided an I-129F with an original signature (which it had). I wanted to be sure everything was in order, and asked about all required original signatures. They told me the continuation/addendum sheets require the same original signatures as the forms they are supplementing. Fortunately I had the foresight to have my fiance sign 3 blank copies of the G-325A forms. I hand wrote responses to each question thereby eliminating the need for continuation/addendum sheets for her G-325A. You should have seen how small I had to write to fit everything into the small answer blocks! :goofy:

This is what the Call Center told me needed original signatures:

    I-129F (Petitioner)

    I-129F cont./add. (petitioner)

    G-325A cont./add. (petitioner)

    G-325A (petitioner)

    G-325A (beneficiary)

    G-325A cont./add. (beneficiary)

Letter of Intent to Marry (petitioner)

Letter of Intent to Marry (beneficiary)

    Good Luck!

  6. sorry for so many questions i just want to make sure that i answer is right and if i dont have to put that info on the application i would prefer not to. i noticed that they have trafficking and mine was FACILITATION-TRAFFICK so just wondering

The "Traficking" they are referring to is most assuredly "Human Trafficking"...

  7. I received our NOA1 on 1-22-09, it was dated 1-16-09. I have "Registered" on the USCIS on-line status as a "Customer". My problem is that the case/receipt number has not yet been put into the database. When I enter the number, it says it is not a valid number, yes I removed the "-" dashes, and yes I included "EAC", no there were no "*". I know it is still early on in the process, but can someone tell me about how long it should take after NOA1 is issued until the case status database shows it?:blink:

    Thanks in advance.

  8. I've been monitoring the site and used many helpful tips in getting our K-1 Visa petition together. I just recently re-sent the package, it had been received at VSC, and rejected. Their claim was that I had not signed the I-129F, that it was a photocopy... It was an original signature, the impression from the pen was clearly visible on the backside of the page, but that's water under the bridge at this point. Before sending it back, I noticed a mistake on my fiance's G-325A, and got it corrected and resubmitted with the package. I got confirmation yesterday, from FedEx, it was received at the VSC. My Fiance, who is in China, called me last night and told me she noticed another mistake, that she did not catch before signing it. She is divorced, and I made a typo on the date of her marriage.

So here is the real question... since there is no supporting documents required for her marriage by the I-129f or the G-325A (I know there will be down the road), :innocent: should I wait until I receive the NOA1 and receipt number to try to correct it? The wrong date I entered was 02/24/1994 vice 02/02/1994... still not sure how I fat-fingered that one.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
