  1. Hello VJ support crew!

I got my letter from the Us consulate in Juarez that my fiancee can go to her interview now. I had filed out just about every form out there in both packet 3 or 4 depending on what they asked for. The only form that I don't have is one that is electronic DS-156. Mexico is not on the scroll down list of countries to do it when I get to the page. maybe they changed something. Do you know what it might be replaced with? Thanks for any assistance.

P.S. I have the DS-156k that is no problem. Thanks!!

  2. Hello VJers!!

Again thank you all for your help so far. I send the required Packet 3 forms ds-230-1 etc, to the consulate. Is there anyway to Ping or check online when the interview will be earlier than receiving written notice? I only know of the $$$ a minute phone number, so they have any other source with the case number? I have decided I do not want to make any official wedding plans or notifications until I get the interview date. So that is the extra reason I am dying to know ASAP Respectfully,

    Dom

  3. yeah ours too takes 6.5 months now no Noa2 yet received (noa1- 8/27/09) my fiance make an infopass appt. on Monday to ask whats goin on w/ our case...so sad and frustrating :crying: we feel we are the last batch left..hope there's an action now after this infopass appt. i don't know how many of us here still haven't received Noa2 yet...atleast make us feel that we are not alone in this journey...

That is very frustrating. I hope that your appointment yields some positive results. Good luck!

  4. Juarez is it. Statistically it is more dangerous than Baghdad...on an election day...outside of the green zone. Murders tend to be heavily concentrated on people that, basically, need to be killed, but there is too many innocents getting it also, including a couple of US consulate workers this week. Be careful

Wow, that is awful. That is crazy that they all have to go to just the one dangerous city, I thought it would be in their own state. Ok, well now that that information is confirmed, first thank you.

Second, when we get to that point, do they have a time-line on this site or somewhere else from the date of the interview, until they give the approval? I am thinking for safety and distance reasons, maybe I should try to be with her. But that would be only possible, if they approve in a couple days. Again thank you for your help!

  5. Hello, I received my NOA2 and am planning all of my next steps. Of course I am looking forward to completing every step so I get a Visa. But my fiance asked me if she would have to go to Ciudad Juarez in Mexico for the Interview? I do not know and so I thought I would ask you. She lives in Jalisco which is very far away from Ciudad Juarez, so I would not think so. But she believes that all K Visas are handled there. She said it is a very dangerous city, and in truth this past weekend there was a very violent attack killing three at the consulate. I told here I would check with my group of experts here to see what they thought. Will she have to travel all the way to there for her interview? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

  6. THANKS ALOT MY FRIENDS YOU ARE REALLY , AT LEAST HERE I FIND SOMEBODY FEEL ME AND MY FIANCEE PAIN

    THX ALOT GUYS

I woke up to a text message and an email that I got my NOA2 approval! Remember that was Oct 26, and when I was first watching the average of 59 days, I was expecting it since late December. No touches, nothing until now. I am out of Vermont Service Center's dark void! It feels so good. And I know that means you will get there soon too.

The people who use this site are educated and more than a little eager. That creates a lot of positives in general, but when waiting, and on the bad side of the process time, it feels so bad, but the good news is, when you get your news, it feels great!

  7. I just checked USCIS website for VSC processing times for I129F's. It was last updated on November 30th and the chart indicates 5 months. What that means is that they are currently processing I129F's in less than the expected 5 month period. I know its not much information but thats all that is available.

So to keep it in perspective - worst case should be late March - however I would expect you to see it before that. I looked at another chart and saw that at VSC the volume processed in December dropped pretty dramatically from Sept, Oct and Nov. Probably due to the holidays and vacations and things.

    Hang in there friend!

Thanks all. Yes, waiting is hard. And really I thought Visa Journey would make is a bit easier because one way or another we are all in the same boat. It just is so disappointing/confusing/nerve-wracking to see that NOA2s are being sent out from people who applied November 21.

My goal is to have mi fiancee in my city for my Birthday in Mid May. Just a personal goal. It feels so powerless waiting on the government on something like this, that never in my life did I have to worry so much about a random government office.

Ok, Thanks agian for your answers and support.

  8. hey guys ive been reading here and i decided to do my 129f, i just recieved my NOA2. My fiancee is from mexico where i was raised part of my life, my question is

    1. Is the medical and interview the same day or a few days apart?

    2. how many days do i have to stay over there, because i can plan for work and days off?

    3. The interview is in juarez right?

    4. the thing im mostly confussed on is what exacly is the process? is it we get a date for interview, we do medical and a day later she can come home with me? or does she have to go back home?

Sorry guys im just a little nervious, and the funny part ive read almost every post in this fourm at least the K1 part. thanks again

Congratulations Miguel! You are ahead of me in the process, so you'll need some answers from people who are ahead of us both. I am still waiting for my NOA2 also for Mexico. What was the date of your NOA1?

  9. Hey Dominik,

If your NOA1 was Oct 27 - three months would be about Jan 27. With the holidays thrown in I would expect a little longer. My guess is you should see something relatively soon. When we sent ours back in June 09 the stated processing time expected was 5 month but in the end we did receive NOA2 in 3 months. I dont think at this time you should have anything to worry about. If you have not received any RFE's then sit tight a little longer. We all know how much waiting sucks but its part of the process. Keep checking for updates and good luck with your NOA2 and moving forward!

So when it currently says that people are receiving their NOA2 from applications made in Late November, it that an average, the earliest, the mean?

  10. Well I updated the timeline, I did not put it as a email signature line. So basically a lot of this is luck of the draw? Slow fast doesn't indicate anything? Of all the things to come out on the 30 days later than average side, this is quite a frustrating event. The last time I went to see my finacee, at the end of December is when I was supposed to be receiving my NOA2 according to the timeline. I was sure it would be waiting for me when I got back. Now it's just a lot of wait and wonder. I have been a member of Visa Journey for quite a while, but I am probably going to need your advise and tranquility more than ever right now due to this delay. Thanks.

  11. Hello My Name is Dominick and I filed for a K-1 129f with the original NOA dated on October 27, 2009. The way the time-line appears on this page http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ge=k1historical ,it appears that I am a month late from receiving my NOA2. Am I understanding the situation correct? Is there something that I should be doing? There have been no updates, it has consistently sat at "initial review" for the whole time. So the question are, am I understanding the situation/ time frame wrong? If so, please help me understand it better. If not, and this does indicate a problem, what should I be doing to correct this speedbump? Thank you.
