  1. Have you looked at timelines of others who have transited DR? DR is notoriously slow to interview, at least in the past. I have heard some experienced up to 18 months from consulate receipt to interview.... A quick glance at the VJ stats indicaates 407 days.

It took longer before but since last year the NVC is scheduling the interview instead of the consulate

so is much quicker. Does anybody know when is the deadline or cutoff date.

My package left NVC on August 22, I haven´t heard anything yet. The consulate is slow.

YMR, when they completed your case?

August 22-2008 but the Consulate is very slow here.

So if your case left on the 22nd it means you have an interview scheduled, give them a call.

I called now, App. is on Nov 5th.

Wow, that means my will be in December.

  3. My case was completed on Aug 25th according the person i talked to, but when i call the automated system nothing comes up. They say it takes a while but its possible that a interview could be scheduled for october. Any ideas how that works, the consulate is in Santo Domingo DR

Interviews for future months are usually made before the 20th day of the current month.

If there isn't a huge backlog in SD, you should get an October interview.

Some Embassies, like London, have a 2 month backlog.

Where did you get that information from? Is that information based on the IR1/CR1?

If it is then, there is no back log in London. Case complete 29th August, interview assigned the 3rd September, interview date the 29th September.

    ROCA

Has anybody else gotten an interview?

  6. If you case is completed before the deadline for each month which is the 2nd week of the month, you will be scheduled for the next month that is if the embassy is not overbooked but I have not seen a backlog for Dominican Republic. I have added your info to the spreadsheet on the NVC forum under case completed. Good luck.

So by the end of next week i should know if they scheduled the interview for october?
