2 months to get visa was mainly because they kept asking for paperwork that wasnt on the original list of requirements, maybe because of our daughter being born there, but already having US citizenship. Our interview for AOS is Monday (10/4/10), wish us luck!

Sorry for long time to reply. When visa was transferred from USCIS to Embassy in Japan they held for Admin review, since they would never give interview, we moved Grace back to Philippines but waited to transfer the case because our daughter was born and we had to process papers for her. After case was transferred to Manila, it took about 2 months to get interview then 2 months to get visa

It is difficult to say exactly why ours took so long, but there were a LOT of issues. 1st, Grace was living in Japan instead of the Philppines. I think Japan embassy didnt really know how to process someone from the Philippines. They held the visa application for "administrative Review...

We got our letter for AOS on Saturday. The interview is set for 10/4. Much quicker than I expected.

Looks like things are going well for you. I am still stuck in "AP" at Tokyo since January 5th. Depressing.
