Easy way to get rid of even more than 10,000 employees in this country today, without warning to them, is to just move your company to China. But you are planning on staying here, and are having problems with a single employee, have a lot of problems getting rid of that person. Have to have at least three warning letters on file before dismissing them. Otherwise the employee can sue the employer for some kind of discrimination thing or whatever.
Offenses of the employee do not necessarily have to break any civil laws, like not following the dress code or coming in late. But if criminal charges are put on the employee, like walking out with the cash register, then that has to be reported to the USCIS. With company policy offenses, worse thing that can happen to your friend, he/she will be out on the street, and even without unemployment compensation.
Thanks Guys for your answer!!thats make sense now i dont think it big deal.

Hey Guys, i have question regarding my friend, he is Permanent Resident, and he is going to apply for N-400 next month!! he got into it with some of his worker at work and the manager gave him writing warning is that can effect his N-400 he was just wondering about it?? thanks everyone.

Hi Safwan,
If you are no longer married - you need to wait 5 years before you are eligible to apply for citizenship. The only way to apply based on 3 years is that you need to still be married and still living with your USC spouse.
Read this guide... http://www.uscis.gov/files/article/M-476.pdf
hope this helps.
Thank you for your help i apreciate it!!

Hi guys i have couple questions here!! i will be applying for US citizen next year, i had filed I-751 with waiver couple years and i got approved without interview, and i was wondering what questions they will ask me and what document i need to submit? thanks everybody!!
-
No-one is "required" to change it.
If you get a new card because you lost yours you'll get a new one.
If you just get approved (for your first card, ROC or 10 year card renewal) then you'll get a new one
Otherwise the "old one" is still perfectly valid and fine as is. Once you are a USC you won't need a GC so it won't matter to you then either.
Thanks Vanessa&Tony thats make sense i appreciate it!!

NO, Unemployment is an insurance payed by employers, it is NOT a means tested benefit.
Moving to an appropriate forum, this is not related to removal of conditions.
Thanks for reply, so why this is not related ro removal of conditions, i think it does have related , how rude you moved my question LOL.

Hi everybody, i got few questions? i have 10 years green card, and my job we are gunna be very slow in Junuary and i was wondering if colllect unemployment will effect my Citizenship?
-
We are about 4 months from her exp date on her conditional green card. She is getting progressively more violent every day.
I have offered to pay for a ticket to return her home, but she says that she will stay with me until the police take her away, or we are together forever.
She shows absolutely no respect for me at all. I own my own home. She does not allow me to watch TV when I want. Does not allow me any peace. Every day, she finds a way to use the F word repeatedly. She curses me and if I try to explain something to her, she gets progressively louder and will never stop! I always give in!
I feel very abused every day! I can not even leave the house when she is angry, or she will destroy everything she can get her hands on. I have considered calling the police, but we all know who the police will take away if I do that. And, yes, at this point, I am actually afraid of her!
If I indicate that I may not do the I-751, she goes into a rage! I plan to do it! I will ready 2 envelopes. One, will have some blank papers in it. This one I will actually send, return receipt requested. Hopefully, when she gets the receipt, she will remain calm until her green card expires. Or, we get as close to that date as we can.
But, what happens after her green card expires? Can I just call the police, and have her taken away as an unlawful alien? I would gladly pay the cost of her removal!
Anyone who really knows about this situation, please advise!

Why you guys dont try things work out!! if not you guys can get divorce and she can file i-751 on her own and proof the marriage was in a good faith, other that if you see you guys can file i-751 and tell she get her 10 green card and than you guys get divorce she can move on her own thats my suggetion!!.

no problem ... UI is a state run insurance benefit and not a federal means tested benefit. In either situation it would not affect a citizenship application, collection of a federal means tested benefit might only affect the USC sponsor
Thanks Payxibka thats make sense now, i appreciate your answer.

Bulanglang,
You appear to have your NOA1 so there is no risk for you to not be able to take a job, as the NOA1 extends your green card for a year. You should have an unrestricted social security card.
Mrs_S
Hi Mrs S , i seen ur posting what unrestricted social security card mean ?
thank you .
Unrestricted social security card is the same as a normal American gets, when you got your first SS card, it says on it " valid for work with authorization of DHS , when you get your green card, go back to SS office and present your ID card and your green card, then they will issue you an unrestricted one, just like any normal american citizen has, so if you haven't gotten yours, do so quickly. Its really important for Immigrants to have one

Safwan,
You are accepting your divorce? what you meant by that?...you mean will be final? If your divorce is final before the January deadline you don't need to wait until it...you can file once you get your divorce decree regardless if it's before January.
by the way in divorce remember that your financial responsbilities (since you have a joint mortgage and auto loan most probably) do not end...be sure to talk with a divorce lawyer and/or your financial advisor about it if you needed it.
SilverShadow,
Hey keep us posted...in two months and see if you got your approval in the mail...don't know WHY has to be December??? jeezz. Well I am confident that everything should be straight up with you.
Good luck!!!!
Hi Cherr 1980 , thanks for ur replay to me i appericiate it , yes hopefully i will get my divorce over by the end of October , i dont understand what u meant by Financial responsibilities ? and i have to talk with divorce lawyer or my financial advisor i dont understand that ? can u explain to me please about that situation thanks .

Hello Cherr,
I will difinitely keep you updated. I'll have my interview tomorrow. I just came back from the IRS office with 2 more tax transcripts. So I got a total of 3 tax return transcripts. I'm a little worried though.
I hope that your case will be settled soon because this whole immigration process is very stressful. I've been dealing with it for 8 years now.
Wish me good luck guys.
God bless.
Well keep us posted.I filed for a waiver as well, but I did it right after I divorced...so practically I have two cases pending...we'll see.
Good luck...you have plenty of evidence in my eyes, just be calm and remember all your details during your marriage, separation and subsequence divorce.
hi i was wondering how ur interview went any good news ?
Hello guys,
Sorry if if i was kinda late to report on my interview experience. Well my interview was scheduled at 9:30AM. I got there around 8:30 & waited for my lawyer who didn't show up until 9:25AM!! I turned my interview letter to the receptionist at trhe window & waited for my name to be called. After 15 min my name was called in by an immigration officer. We got in as i noticed there were 2 officers so i got really nervous. But i think the other one was on training because she was showing her the process. They walked us to her desk & asked me o raise my right hand & swear that i will tell the truth & nothing but the truth. We sat down and she asked about my passport & driver's license. She started reading my file & going through pages slowly then she asked me why our marriage has failed, so i answered that things didn't work out & got really bad to the pint where i had to leave so i can preserve my safety since my wife was a little abusive. Then she asked when we separated (2003), she asked about my taxes from 2000 to 2003. I had only 3 tax transcripts from 2000 to 2002 so my lawyer handed them over to her, she asked about our marriage counseling why didn't work out, then asked about the police report what happened that day( FYI, it was me who called the cops in ancident & got police report), then she asked me if we have any kids which i said no, she asked about our residential lease i had only lease that was dated of 2003 she asked me about the previous years from 2000, i said i only grabbed what i had when i was leaving the appartment, i didn't have other years lease my lawyer jumped in & he said it was a renewal lease & we didn't get other years from landlord but i showed her too many old mail dated since 1999 at the same address she looked at them, then she asked about our divorce decree coz it was a clerical error on my ex wife's first name but the court corrected the mistake & sent me another decree showing the correct name, she asked me about the original one with the error, i told her i didn't bring it with me since it had an error & i brought only the good one. She asked me a tricky questions where i lived in 2001 & 2002 which i answered right away at the correct address of our old appartment. Then she asked me about my 2003 tax return status if it was filed married, married but filed seperately, or single? I anwered single coz the person who did my taxes made a mistakei remember telling him i want to file married but seperate since i left my house & we were seperated but he filed as single for me so i explained to her & she didn't say any word. I just didn't want to lie since that's the truth. BTW all my tax returns 2000, 2001, 2002 were filed jointly as married except 2003 coz i was seperated when i filed. So at the end she asked her trainee to make copies of my I551 stamped passport along with my driver's license. Then she said we're done, she said they will mail me their decision by December. The whole interview took like 25 min. My lawyer said that i was calm & answered her questions very good. He said this office always tell people they will mail their answer but he said I should be approved because we have all the supporting documents & we didn't have any problem at the interview.
Sorry if it was too long but just want to tell my experience as i pormised. I just hope i will get approved coz i was i this mess since 2003!!
Thank you for your help.
Hi Guys , i have couple questions : my 2 years green card will expire in March 2009 and iam getting divorce from my wife , iam excepting my divorce by the end of October , Her and I we got the Mortgage for the house together and Vehicle , including bills , pics , tax returns , our trip together ...., any body here with experience through divorce and what happen to them after they file , my lawyer told me she will file my I -751 by January , i want to know what will happen then , and by the way the reason why iam getting divorce she cheated on me and she like to drink a lot and i cant leave my life like that with somebody stupid .

1. No, cover letters are not necessary.
2. I don't think there is a way to track a money order, but I'm sure someone will correct me if that's wrong.
3. NOA = Notice of Action. It's basically the USCIS's acknowledgment that you filed the form and paid the fee, and in the case of an I-751 application it extends the validity of a conditional green card for a year.
4. I would recommend submitting the I-865, even if it is late (as did other people who responded to your earlier posts about this).
Good luck!
Thank you very much for your reply!

Glad to see that VSC is working on December 07 apps, but it bothers me that they jump around so much. There are many of us from the beginning of December that are still waiting.

Just wanted to post a follow-up after our info pass appointment yesterday in Indianapolis.
The officer we dealt with was very nice, I explained the situation and provided copies of the green card with the error on it, the letter I received from USCIS and the delivery confirmation for filing the I-90. He plugged my information into the computer and said that I should expect a new greencard in the mail within 45 days. I asked if I could get the I-551 stamp in my passport so I had some proof of status and he had us take a seat for 10 minutes and then called us back up, my passport was stamped with an expiry date of Jan 9th, 2009 and he said I didn't need to re-file a new I-90, that everything was taken care of.
Quick, painless and pleasant for once. He didn't even make us wait until our appointment time, he took us as soon as I passed in the info pass letter which was 20 minutes early. We left, had a great lunch and went shopping. Turned out to be a super Friday.
My advice, don't listen to those fools on the help line. If somethings not right make an info-pass appointment and speak to someone who can actually help! IMHO.
