  1. Well, she got a doctors bill in 2006 for 200 dollars. She returned to russia when her J1 visa expired, and never paid it. Now, she is married in america, and we are trying to see if she has bad credit due to that bill. Alot of times, when I try to do a credit score on her, it asks for an address where she lived for 6 months, and also a credit card number. She doesnt have a credit card, and she has not been living here for 6 months. If I use the address where she is staying now, is that going to have any affect on getting her credit score?? Can I use my credit card to get the credit score. Thanks

  2. Hello All!!

I will be picking my fiance up at the JFK airport next friday. I will be driving to JFK from Philadelphia for the first time. Is there alot of parking there? My fiance will be arriving on a delta jet, and i think Delta uses terminal 3 (is this correcct?) Any advice on anyones past experices of picking someone up at JFK will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  3. I just have two questions?

    1) My fiance will be arriving at JFK with a K1 visa. Her plane is suppose to be arriving at 3:00pm. How much time do you think she will need at the POE? Can I expect to pick her up around 3:30, or does it take hours sometimes?

    2) Sooo, after my fiance and me become married, she will have a choice to become a US citizen, or she can stay a russian citizen, but will need a US green card (Is this correct?). Also, can someone explain to me how either of her choices will affect her when she travels back to russia to visit family.

    Thanks

  4. It all depends on the type of visa you have. I have been to russia on private (personal) visas twice since last year. To get registered, you have to go to the local OVIR (the place where your hosts applied for the invitation for the private visa). Your hosts will have to go to the OVIR with you, and make sure they have their internal passports.

  5. This is probably a stupid question, but just wanted to make sure.

I am going to buy my fiance a plane ticket from the Delta Airline website using my credit card. She will be leaving from SVO and arriving at JFK. This will be fine, wont it?? The only thing I have to do is just make sure that her name matches the name in her passport exactly, right? It must be in english too, right? Is the website going to ask for her passport number?

Once my fiance gets to the airport, will she only need to show her passport with the visa in it, and they they will be able to look her up from that, or does she also need to print out the itinerary?

Thanks for your help. Any comments would be appreciated

  6. My fiance just interviewed at the us embassy in moscow, and her K1 visa got approved! I have been looking up flights for her to fly into JFK. A round trip would be about 700 dollars, while a one way would cost about 1500 dollars. I would love to purchase the round trip tickets, but since she would not be using the second flight, would this be considered fraudulous??

Also, when she is departing Moscow, are the people working at the airport going to regulate what kind of flight she can fly in? Will they know that she has a K1 visa, and is likely not returning, and therefore wont be needing a roundtrip flight??

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

  7. What exactly do the doctors put in the sealed envelope? Is it just the I-693 document (part 1 through part 5). And, do the embassies open up the sealed envelope, or does the USCIS open up the sealed envelope when you get adjusted status after getting married? Thanks

The panel physicians prepare the DS-2053 et al... and sometimes they include the DS-3025. The consulate opens the medical and reviews it for visa ineligibilities. The consulate will remove the report and attach it to the immigrant's file that then goes into the mystery brown envelope that gets opened at the POE. The POE officer adds his/her documents to the file and sends it back to the USCIS. Which, upon an I-485 application, The USCIS service center will retrieve the file from storage for the medical information and adds any new information to be added to the permanent file.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. So, the 693 is for later on, when you get into the US from abroad. It that correct?
