  1. I've been searching through the forums and cant find any other interview posts like mine. I had a terrible day today and on top of that I just started a new job this past oct 24th missing one day of work already today. What is the the usual process now after we had this interview? Do we get a notice in the mail with a approved or denial letter? Do we have another interview again? Please chime in on what should we expect and do. Im kinda worried here because of this damn white paper with the box checked FURTHER REVIEW. I have no clue and wanted to ask the lady but she was so stern and did not want to be interupted and sent us on our way out.

  2. Hello everyone,

My wife and I had our interview to get her 10 year visa card(i-751) that sometimes they send you in the mail without even an interview. They sent us a blue request for evidence before this and I sent the same stuff I sent when I first filled the application. I mean seriously I have no other things to send them and sent everything they asked for. At the interview today the lady asked questions and her main concern was about our health insurance. We were both out of work at the time and applied for county insurance about 3 months ago which is free if you dont have any income. She kept our papers with our insurance details and our joint bank account statement we have togther that was all. She looked at our car insurance and that was it besides our bank account and health insurance. She told us at the end of the interview I dont see any problem here, but she needs to further review our case and gave us the white sheet with the your case has been continued for the reasons checked below: further review box checked instead of the congratulations, your application has been approved. Im pretty stressed out this second and worried like i've never been before. I mean how come they dont come to our home and visit us? I wrote a letter as well in the evidence to invite them over to visit us here at our home if they wanted to. I dont see why we have to go through this when we are just a simple couple who love each other. Please someone give us any kind of feedback on our situation. I feel like my wife is going to get taken away from me and get deported for nothing we have done wrong. Do I need to get an attorney? Please someone advise us...... :(:(:(

O she started off as a K1-Visa from the Philippines to here in America

    Thank you and GodBless,

    Ray and Mary

  3. Hello everyone. Can someone tell me what i need to do if i am using my bro as a joint sponsor. Im not sure how i can do this since he and his wife filed joint taxes..Will it be the same process using his taxes for the i-864?

    hi,

what i did in this same situation was that as my uncle's individual annual income (COLUMN 23 ) was much more than poverty guidelines for 5 peoples, so he didnt use his wife income to fill his I-864,so in column 24(b)it was zero. They also filed their taxes together. But in column 25 FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN INFORMATION, the amount he filled was the total amount of their both as it shown on their taxreturn, in LINE 37 OF ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME.

So if your brother is using her wife's income [in Column 24(B)] also to meet poverty guidelines then his wife needs to fill I-864A too .

    Hope this will help.

hello again. my brother income is way passed the pov. guidelines, but they filed a joint tax return. so i guess im asking how do i seperate his income or do i just send in the joint tax return?

  4. hello. question #21 on form i-864 for part C, do i put down 1 since i just got married and for the total in H it would be 3? this doesnt make sense since its just me and my wife and it adds up to 3..also wanted to know since my brother will be filling one out as well a joint sponsor he has a wife and 2 kids so this would be a total of 5 in H?? .please some help thanks...

  5. hi. im in the middle of doing my aos forms for my wife. my brother will be helping me with the support part since i am unemployed and didnt file taxes for 2008...can someone tell me which form we need to use? i am filing a i-864 because i have cd's and savings i want to show since it is a good amount...i just wanted to add my bro's since i am now unemployed in these tuff times...please advise, thank you...

  7. i was just reading over the steps in the aos process..it says i need to have all these documents such as joint bank accounts, bills, credit card statements ect....with both of our names on it...how do you do that when she doesnt even have a social security number? i tried to open a joint account at chase but they told me she needs a ss number.....thats the reason why i applied and was waiting for her ss card to come in.....grr so confusing

  8. Hello. Just wanted to know what to do next besides getting the aos package together. My wife and I are now married (she came here on a k1 visa) since 2 weeks ago. I have applied for a ss# and we are now waiting for it the mail(6weeks max since they have to verify the marriage license)...i understandd that getting the ss card is the first thing we need to do and is pretty much required on every paper on the aos application and applying for bank accounts and her ca id.....anyways someone was telling me we need to report that we are now married to the immigration office here in cali so she does not get an overstay and possibly deported...please enlighten me on this concern anyone...thank you so much.....ray and grace

  11. Hello VJ's as i ask for your experience and advice again. Regarding the plane tickets. Which method is better? I really want to get my fiancee's ticket thru internet but im afraid at the airport she might have problems. Anyone been thru such problems buying a ticket here in the us or any other country thru internet and having problems at MNL? Or should I just send her money and let her get her own ticket?? Someone was saying on her before that their husband to be, bought them a ticket from over here and when she got to the airport she had all kinds of problems because her husbands credit card bill wasnt on the email receipt. I wouldnt dare put my credit card number on anything in the P.I. so im kinda confused on what to do here. Buy here(internet) or send money there?? Any suggestions would be much thankful :) thanks guys!!

  12. thanks for the info guys...i guess if i dont get any work by that time i just need to get a co-sponser...can you have 2 co-sponsers my bro and mother???? i mean gees how much do i really need to be ok? it has to be 5 times the amount of the gov. poverty guidelines 2=$14,570 so $72,850 is what i need to be ok if im not working?? I have $100 grand and some change in my cd's and 60+grand in verizon stock...think that should be ok guys??

  13. We've been thru the same situation with the xrays....just remember the longer you dont hear from them, the better off you are that the culture test is negative...i called in 10 days early to get results because i was so anxious to see and they told me she was negative and that she needed to report in for shots...who knows they probably get the results much earlier but just make you wait for 8 weeks, hell i didnt....anyways follow your heart and never give up!!! wish you the best of luck....ray&grace

  14. Im a 1099 contractor and been out of work for awhile.. Didnt file taxes this past year for 2008 because i made very less than what is required to file...As you know the US economy stinks right now and its so hard to find work..My question is how hard will they be on me for not working when we will go for our interview for AOS??? I mean gees im doing all i can to find work yet nothing....I have savings and stocks worth over 160 grand thats about it o and a condo in makati..What should i expect if im not working still by the time the interview comes??? Will they deport my fiancee because i cannot find work??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.........ray&grace

  15. if you know you have anything that will come up in the x-rays (scar on lung from previous tb) take the test asap, they will delay you regardless if your cured to have a sputum test and culture test which will take arnd 2 months..by that time you can just get everything ready for the interview while waiting for the results as long as your negative on the tests you will be givin another interview date......
