I'm a nursing graduate, and came to the US under the K1 visa process. However, I already passed my Nclex when I was in the Philippines. I am now waiting for my AOS approval, and started applying for jobs in the meantime. Having a hard time because they're all asking for experience, but still keeping positive, and will keep on trying.

i came here in the US with no experience, took me 4 months to get a job, now i have been working as a RN for more 18months now. I got a pinay preceptor too which is really a big, big help! Good Luck to you, hope u get a job soon!

On a scale of 0-100, how stressful is the job of an RN? As much I like the "glamor" of my wife to have title of RN, I really don't want her all stressed out working the midnight to noon shift at the hospital, and then come home to me looking like this .

i work nights ( 7pm- 7am) less chaos, less stressful, more money , i would say it is 30, and it depends of the group of patients u have.

Which do you think was harder... NLE or NCLEX? Some of our friends thought NLE was harder.

i have my green card already and we tried applying to one of the health insurance company, but they did not approve me because im not a US Citizen?,..My husband's job dont have benefits thats why we have to buy our own insurance,..so my question is,.. do i have to wait until i become a USC to have a health insurance? or do you know any insurance company that approve those that have gc? we are from FL,...hope to get answers soon,..thanks

When the nurse handed us our sealed I-693 today, she said we are better off hand delivering the document to our local USCIS office, rather than mailing it together with the I-485.

Any thoughts or advice about this?

the shots that i have in the Phils was Tdap, MMR( they put complete),Varicella, and HPV

they put insufficient time interval in my Tdap, HPV(2 doses in the phils and 1 here), and Varicella(2 doses in the Phils.). i didnt have Tdap shot anymore.not age appropriate--same. when i went to the civil surgeon here he said, i dont need to have any shots anymore, and he then transcribe the I-693.

Same thing happened to me when i called for an appointment, they said i need to have full medical exam etc,... so what i did, i still made an appointment and i printed out the instructions of I-693 in the USCIS website,. showed it to his secretary and to the Doctor too,..we had a little bit argument with the secretary coz she did not have like that kind of case and its new to her etc,..but we stayed calm and she apologized in the end.

So for you bring the copy of instructions,..and show it to them

try to learn and speak simple,sweet tagalog words or any dialect.im sure it will make her fall in love with u more...just like what Doug did,.ryt now he can speak a couple of tagalog sentences..
