Well Girls and boys!!!!!! MY K1 VISA WAS APPROVED ON Marzh 31st!!!!!!!!!! It was so nice the officer who interiew us, It awas lioke having a conversation, talking about us, It was so comfortable!!!! they actually gave us our visa the same day!!!!! I athank god and Noah .. that he came to the interview with me, I am so nervious, but with him oh my god I felt great!!! must of the interview was in english, sometimes the offecier asked me questions in english and I answered in spanish hahahaha but cool, It was nice

Actually, he gave us back our complete I129F package!!!!!!! I didnt know they could do that!!!!!!!! my aafolder awas so large that it couldnt pass through the window, so the officer went out aand give it in my hands!!! he said "ok, i think this belongs to you" OH GOD! we have ALL our I129F support back!!!!!! hehehehe it was great!!!!!!!!!!

My babe is coming next saturday!!!!!! I am so happy!!!!!!!! hehehehe we are planing to visit my home town to spend some days with my mom and dad .... oh! have I told you guys that my mom visa was approved for 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is a miracle!!!!!!! because here in venezuela is so hard to get a tourist visa!!!! but well, we really pray for this, and we got it, now she can visit us whenever she wants ...... my dad, is affraid of flying ... so I will be only seeing him when I come to visit ...

I just sent my I-129F off today in the mail, certified . Background info on me and my FH; We met online in 2002, but things didnt get serious until 2008. He flew out here to meet me and go on holiday with his dad and we hit it off great and he extended his stay (within his visa time restriction, of course) and proposed in November, much to the delight of my family and friends...and me . We began filling out the paperwork while he was here and after he left we had to wait on some more documents and to get the money together. My mother is going to be my joint sponsor when the time comes. I'm just incredibly nervous and excited all at the same time. I am processing through the Vermont Service Center...any experiences with them good or bad? I would love for him to come back in May 09' for my graduation but I am nervous that the K-1 being in process might mess things up. He works for his father and is living at home with his mother. He has strong family ties to Wales but not employment/uni ties. He also does his banking there, so I suppose he has some financial ties to the UK? Any experience in this as well? I found my way here from the British Expats community, but it will be nice getting different opinions from both boards. Thanks everyone in advance and good luck with your journeys as well!

I've been reading the forums and guides on VJ for a while now to get guidance and encouragement on my I-129F Petition. I filed late last year and got approved in four months.

In particular, there is one thing I am worried about in my Chinese fiancee's upcoming interview.

The V.O. will probably ask my fiancee about the circumstances under which we met. In June 2007, we met on FaceRen, a social networking site (like a Chinese version of Facebook). I have since traveled to China twice to meet her, I love her a lot, and I have asked her to marry me. We have plenty of evidence of our relationship (letters, emails, conversation records, photos).

I'm specifically worried that the V.O. will have a prejudice against Internet relationships. I'm aware that there are many scams involving the K-1 visa and many of these fraudulent relationships start online. I certainly hope that the V.O. won't reject our application just because we met online, but I am worried enough about this that I'm considering making up other stories and asking my fiancee to tell the officer a false story.

I'm really hoping that some of you lucky couples had online beginnings, and have had experience discussing online relationships with the V.O. There's some stigma associated with online relationships because so many of them don't work out, and I just want to know how the Consulate people feel about them.

Dont worry about that! many of us have met online! It is just normal nowdays!!!

Remember that on the interview there is no reason to lie! say the truth! It doesnt matter the way you met, the important thing is that you met, fell in love, and want to share a life together!

When we apply for the I129, Noah wrote a letter explaining how we met and fell in love, and he ofcourse mentioned that we did first met at Hi5 online! and we were apptroved!! hehe and at our interview we will be telling the same if they ask!

So keep positive, and always say the truth at the embassy,

Sorry guys I have been away this week, I had my mom and grandmother visiting me here in Caracas, they got their tourist visa interview and they were APPROVED!!! so my mom will be giving me away tears of joy ran through my eyes when I saw them all happy waving at me!!! they got approved!!!

In venezuela have been really hard to get approved for a tourist visa... but .. I am so greatfull, they got their approval...

I did my medical exams this friday, and Noah also sent me the I134, and supports ... so we are very much done with the papers... I think ... we need to wait for our interview!! jeje

Tomorrow I will resign to my job, and will have to work 30 days of notice....

im not in such a great mood.. well the interview was basicly denied because the co sponser is not living in the u.s.

right now i cant do anything i dont have any family and things so i dont know what we are going to do. this is b.s. if you ask me. give him the damn 90 day visa ya know. he says its not a denial just they want the ppaper but without the paper we cant do anything so even if they do keepp it a year they myaswell use mine to hold up a table or bathroom tissue. really i cant even write what i'm feeling cause i really dont know i just know its crazy that i can wait for somthing this long and 1 person say sorry come again.i know some people are still on here that dont like me and theyre getting thier jollys off laughing so gratz to you. to other people who need a co sponser my advise is not too start it unless you have a co sponser living in the u.s. with 6 months worth of bank statments (this is what he was told) ok im going to go scream and cry in my room for now then i'm going to write obama a small letter or somthing

I don't quite understand what exactly happened (denial or not denial, but just a request for more documents to be brought at a later date), but I hope it all works out for you.

if we cant get another sponser it doesnt matter how they word it right.. cause without somone else theres no way to get more papers he doesnt have family here and i dont have anyone so its basically over... well i dont know how people do it really im soooo upset and i cant even think of anyway to fix it. and then he went home to lay down and take a nap to think it over and im stuck here at my keppboard crying and driving myself more insane but im trying not to just lose it at this point

Thank you all for the advice, was browsing through the Visa Journey timeline. And maybe we hurried ourselves a bit much. Since the time when NVC sent the case to the Caracas embassy has been 2 weeks.

Hope this is the problem and soon we will receive a better date.

I think it is crazy to have your interview in December 2009, there might be some kind of mistake, you should write them again!

We wrote them as soon as NVC told us they already sent the package to Caracas via DHL, they didint answer in the next 5 working days, so we wrote again and finnally gthey ave us our appointment for March ....

Try writing them again, be sure to write on the subject your CRS number and name of petitioner and beneficiary...

As I have seen here in Venezuela, usually, the Interview is two (02) months after the NOA2 approval date.

Hi Everyone!!!! Well my fiances interview is next week and of course I had to find something to stress about. Here it goes. My fiance is Colombian and he'll be interviewing in Madrid (since he's living in Spain). On form DS-157 question 14, where it asks if he has any specialized training or skills with firearms, explosives, etc..... and on question 15, if he's performed military service, he answered yes to both. Being from Colombia all men at the age of 18 have to perform obligatory military service. Their he received responsible firearm training with a rifle. Will this cause a problem with his interview??? Has anyone who comes from a country where military service is obligatory have any problems with the interview??

Your help or words that can help me calm down would really help. I do the stressing for my fiance and myself.

Thank you everyone for your comments, yes I already have his Divorce Certificate .... We are trying to find now his marrige certificate ... very uncomfortable, have to bring this though, but I will, just in case they need it ...

I am also bringing a Notaried Letter wich explains that I am single ... just in case ... it is not in their requirements .. but you never know ...

Ok, Mia, I understand now. I should read all the posts before I answer.

Stop looking. You do not need your US citizen fiance's marriage certificate, his divorce certificate was filed with the I-129f but if you have a copy bring it along. Bring everything you have, you never know and you can carry it all right back with you.
