Is it a must that you have to have a state Id at the time of your interview? ....I am temporarily working in Ny and have a another state id Iwas think of filing my N-400 application in Ny but do not have a NYS ID. What sholud I do?

I am new to this forum. I sent my I-751 sometime early January 2008 to TSC. I recieved a NOA stating that on the 28th January 2008, they recieved my application and it is now pending at VSC. I recieved another letter which asked me to go do my biometrics on 2/23/2008.

I was not allowed to do the biometrics since i did not have my original 2yr green card(misplaced it). I was advised to go for a police report and come back. I got the police report and went back to do the biometrics(atlanta center) on 03/01/2008.

On 03/04/2008, my case was touched and thats it. It has stayed pending ever since. One week ago, i called the 1-800 number and was able to talk to an officer who told me that my case was just sitting there. I told him about the biometric experience and he told me that they had the finger prints. I asked if they had sent me any letters that got lost, he answered in the negative. he told me that after 03/04/2008, nobody had touched my case. I am getting worried since poeple who filed 3 months after me are getting approved at VSC.

I have read on this forum about the bulk transfer. I need advise. I tried the infopass but the system will not allow an appointment to be scheduled. The officer told me that he was sending a request to VSC and that i should hear something within 30 days. But i am still not convinced.

I think u will be getting an e-mail or letter soon depending on if you gave them an e-mail address to contact you. I had a similar experience. My case was not touched after i did my biometrics on Feb 14,2008. I called the 1800 number in 23rd of January of this year to find out what was going on the rep there was so nice and she told me that it was due time for me to hear something from them she took my information then sent a notice to VSC I recieve an e-mail a week later staing that they are actively working on my case but need to perform additional review and if I didn't hear back from them within 6 months to contact customer service again. Well on march 6,2009 i got the card production e-mail no REF no interview so just keep hanging in there you will hear something soon.

Congrats on your approval I got the same e-mail on Friday and another yesterday also I guess its the norm since the card production has to be done else where i think the just retrieve the information given to them

Hi all,

I received the card production ordered email on Friday. Then on Sunday I received the same email again, saying card production ordered. Went online to double check and the online status says the same.

I never received an approval email. Then I logged in today and the case was touched yesterday. Is this normal? Is the case suppose to continue to be touched ?

Also, how long has it taken for the new GC to arrive?

Yeah truely 445 days since december 18th 2007 after my biometrics on February 14th 2008 there were no touch no nothing until I called the 1800 number back on January 23rd then I got an e-mail that they were processing my case and I would here something from then within 6 months well I surely thought that would mean an interview so I was so overjoyed today when I got the e-mail. I just think my application was sitting on someones desk for a long while but I am a stronger believer in God and He is always on time.

Hi everyone I haven't been on for a while... but today I I called the 1800 number and heard that my card has been ordered on March 6, 2009 after 445 days of waiting THANK GOD!!!! I am so happy right now I was not sure I entered the case number correctly so I called again and that what i heard I came home and opened my e-mail and the best news ever was there the final decision on my case...CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!YAHHHHA

I know exactly what you're going through, I also file in December my receipt date states December 18th, 2007 had my Biometrics done on February 14th, 2008 and yeah I see people who have filed after me getting approved.. I'll give them until next month though.. then see what happens.. i just hope its an approval

I've been watching the Vermont approvals like a hawk... at first I was happy to see the approvals creeping closer to my application date, but then I was overtaken and now I'm the oldest unapproved December application on the list! I check my online status every day but it hasn't budged from 'your case was received on Jan 3rd'... and now somebody who applied on January 31st has already been approved?! When do I start to worry about it? (of course I'm worried about it already, but I'm not sure whether it's justified or just my over-anxiety...)

Online it says January 14, 2008 because of being transferred from TSC to VSC.

That was the weirdest part, no touches, no updates online - nothing, just the letter in the mail today...

It came in the mail today!!! I was so relieved! No Interview, Nothing out of the ordinary, just a notice that I should be receiving my 10 yr card in the next 60days !!! SO AWESOME!!!!

I guess Vermont IS doing something. I sent my application to remove conditions on December 12th 2007 and I JUST got the BEAUTIFUL email:

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On October 14, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. Congrats . Can I just ask you though if the receipt date you mentioned is the first notice you received back from VSC saying they received it? or is it the date they show on the USCIS website?

I got a recipt stating they received it in Vermont on December 18th but on the website it states January. So just wanted to see when I should be looking forward to something. I should also mention that I sent it to Texas but received this notice form Vermont for the 18th

I had stopped checking status online for quite sometime. But when some of the November/ December folks began to get approved I became obsessed (once again) checking at least once a day (often more). This morning I logged on expecting the same old same old but got a really pleasant surprise:

NOA date: 01-09-2008

Biometrics: 02-15-2008

Approved: 10-10-2008

Hopefully VSC won't make any mistakes on my card.

Finally received update on my case as a RFE,which i actually expected as i orignally didn't send in much evidence.ONly sended 2 yrs of tax returns,2 affidafits and lease from the rent.As i was expecting this RFE for a few months now i'm ready to send it off now and gathered enough evidence as copies from both of our drivers license,photograhs ,tax returns for 2005,2006,2007,joint car insurance policies ,bank statements with both names,joined health and dental insurance,life insurance policies with both names,joint credit card,joint loan,utility bils,lease of joint tenancy,and several other eveidence all covered for periods from 2005 till 2008.Also interesting that online nothing was updated and nothing was touched since 12/07.Anyways hoping for a speedy approval now!!!!!!

So did you receive the RFE by mail? since you state that online nothing changed or was this emailed to you?

So I have a Gmail application on my phone which I check frequently. More often, of course I check my email on the computer. However every time that I got something from immigration I first got on my phone (weird) Today was the same thing, I walked in the class, waiting for teacher to start, so while playing on my phone I saw the good news. Wanted to scream out loud but I knew most of my American born classmates wouldn't understand <approval of I-751>. Good luck to everyone, see you on the Citizenship forum, which btw, I already got interview date for, so I suppose I will have my green card for almost a month

There is no set schedule and every case is different. It could be tomorrow or months from now.

You need to make an infopass appointment ASAP! They are way outside your processing time so I think that an infopass would be the best way to know what is going on. Also trying call the 1800 number to see what they can tell you
