  1. We know what forms for her to fill out, my questions are related to assistance we can provide. Would it be helpful or necessary to send a letter stating we are inviting them here? We have already sent an invitation. Any tips would be helpful. Her sister is 30, daughter is a child and husband is 44. They are employed, hold properties and vehicles, etc... Any good advice is welcome. Thanks again!

And by the way, they are Filipino.

  2. I am very happy to say that we had our AOS appt. and have been approved. At the meeting, I can recall the interviewer saying that we would be approved and that we would have to file a petition within 90 days of the temporary green card expiring, to remove conditions. Yesterday, we recieved a notice of action from the US government, stating that we had been approved and that the green card would arrive within 3 weeks. It stated that the greencard was valid for 10 years. It said nothing about the process of removing conditions that I have so thoroughly read!

Obviously time will tell the answer, but is it possible that she actually received her 10 year green card? Was this a rather generic letter sent out and will we have to adjust her status, within the 90 day window?

    Thanks!

  3.

We just had our interview yesterday. Everything seemed to go well, we answered all of the questions truthfully and substantiated our relationship. The interviewer took the visa from my wife's Philipino passport. My only concern is that she would not conclude whether or not my wife would actually be approved for her conditional greencard.

I'm about 99% confident we're approved, but what do you think? Is her taking my wife's visa a telltale sign that we passed the interview, or is there a possibility that they are going to ask us for more information?

    thanks

  4. My wife is currently in the US on a K-3 visa. She has applied for AOS and an EAD. In fact, she had her interview 2 weeks ago and we are hoping that the process concludes quickly. My question is regarding an AP, does she need this form to travel abroad? I keep getting conflicting info. I called the USCIS and they said I needed this document, so did my lawyer. However, the first page of the I-131 instructions as well as this site indicate that she does NOT need an AP to travel abroad. Please help sort out the confusion!

By the way, she's not planning on travelling but should the need arise I want her to have the option to go home. Thanks in advance for your help!

  5. We are married, have been together for a year. My wife was denied a visa and told to come back with "Proof of Correspondence." That's kind of surprising, because we're married already.

She is taking about 50 photos, several letters, emails and even letters from my mom and sister to the consulate friday. I'm also going to send a copy of my phone bill that shows the many times I've called and texted her. I will make a copy of an instant messenger conversation. We talk daily, so this is not an issue.

My question is, what other info should we bring other than what I've named? What recommendations would you have regarding the next visa appointment, what to expect, what to bring?

I'm hoping friday goes much better than wednesday.

    Thanks,

    Dave Sova

  6. That I intend do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3...

I marked intend to furnish room and board, but how should I follow up regarding time? It's forever, for the length of the relationship..

    Thanks a bunch

    Dave

So you're saying you can be the fiancee AND the sponsor at the same time?

Is it enough to show money in the bank? My fiancee doesn't have a lot of income history, but she has money.

Where do you send that form when it's filled out?

Sorry for the off topic, just really need to know, and it appears you already know these answers :)

    She's not a fiancee, it's k-3...

  7. We are at the almost done stage, my wife has received the instruction letter from the Singapore embassy, as well as all of the other forms. Everything looks readily attainable, with the exception of one document: her police clearance documents. She's been in Singapore for almost 3 years, but they are asking for documents which pertain to the Philippines and her life, spent there. Will she have to go to the Philippines? Will the Philippine embassy in Singapore be able to provide the information that we need?

Any info and/or advice regarding the this stage of the process is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Dave

  8. We were approved for our K3, I-129 on 12/19! We received notice on 1/2 that the NVC had received our petition. But what comes next I am so confused about! Is the NVC going to be sending me paperwork, before our case is forwarded to the Embassy? Taking an additional 6-8 weeks? Or is our petition immediately reviewed and sent to the embassy, for completion?

As a side, I called the NVC, and they told me that we would have to return a DS-230 before anything happened, and that would take 4-6 weeks. However, that seems to contradict what I see on this website, that cases are forwarded about a week after the NVC receives them. Please help!!!

Best of luck to all those waiting to be reunited with their spouses. Patience is a virtue.

  9. I've noticed that of the people waiting for K3 visas at the California Service Center, no one has gotten approved recently. Is there any feedback as to why?

If you track the history of K3 visas this year, it seems as if processing times were about 2 months.. Until the beginning of October and then nothing.

I think I'm just venting because I really miss my wife, but anyone who has feedback please reply!!
