    WHat can we do

    imran

Ali all we can do is wait. I dont even live in PAK anymore....I had my interview which went great was given no pink or blue paper infact was told will get it in a week.....SURPRISE SURPRISE im still waiting!! Looks like for me its because I was born in PAK and even though I have been living overseas since 98 still have to endure AP. Goodluck for your journey and God bless us all. Praying for you too babybunny hang in there!
I am not sure what to do. I am daily reader of VJ, however, this is the first time I am writing. My wife had an interview for her K-3 on Feb 06,2007. Since then she is on AP, and embassy is not giving any timeframe that how long it can go. This waiting period is so painful. I have seen that there lot of people that they are dealing with that AP stuff. I would like to invite them as we all can share our MISERY.

    Thanks.

    Ali

Thanks for yours sharing. I think too that it is just I am from Pak. Oh, well there is nothing we can do bur pray that God help us and we will see our love one soon.

  2. Thanks

I am calling for last one week and i m dialling the following numbers

    20800000

    2082000

    2082121

    2082700

Sometimes line go through automatically and if someone speaks and transfer the call to immigration department bells keep ringing and ringing and it happens in both either it go automatically or transfer by operator and bell keeps ringing and i waited for 20 minutes and it keep ringing and ringing.

If they are busy with calls i dont think they talk for 20 minutes with one caller

Its a hard nut to crack to get a call from american embassy

  3. thanks

on 2128 a lady answerd but she said it the wrong depertment

and other no one answer guess got to try more.

well, Its true but I did figure it out different number and for sure someone will answer otherwise you can get that person voicemail. DO NOT LEAVE voice mail. Try it again its means that person is takling with somoene on other line.

    92-51-208-2121 , 92-51-208-2128, 92-51-208-2130

    best of luck

  4. Congrats! Party time

My husband and I had the "initial interview" yesterday afternoon. It was at 2:00 pm and we arrived there at 1:30 but weren't seen till 3:00pm. The interview was taped and we were sworn in to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Anyway I was able to translate for him, which was great. My husband was asked his date of birth, address (which he forgot, cause he was nervous), mothers and fathers name-Just the basics. Then he was asked all these other questions like has he ever been convicted of a felony, smuggled drugs/people, used illegal documents, had government assistance for example welfare (he asked "what is that?"-which oviosly meant NO, very funny lol), or if he ever claimed to be a US citizen, all of which he said no. Then she asked if we had any additional evidence to add to our file, and I showed our supporting evidence like pictures, bills, accounts etc (By the way-make copies of these). Then she asked how or where we met. And then asked if I knew what conditional residence meant, and i said yes. She printed off a letter stating that my husband was granted conditional residence as of 1-30-07. And that was it. I had a few questions but nothing too important. She said our green card would arrive in the mail-God knows when.

Anyway so those of you who have an upcoming interview, good luck and dont get nervous, its not that bad, unless you have something to hide.

Yay its over for the next year and nine months!!!!!!!!!

    Thank the Lord Jesus Christ!
