I was just reading all the threads. I got a schengen visa for my husband with absolutly no hassle. My husband is agreen card holder has been in th state for only less than 6 month, we didn;t need any relative letter or anything except a hotel reservation confirmation and our tickets reservation as well. We drove to houston and I meet the consulate office of spain she was very nice and helpful and we got a tourist visa for multiple entrie because we were going twice back from morocco to madrid. That was my experience we took woth us our bank statement and our credit card copy just incase the ask for something and to proof for them that we share . Please get your husband a transit visa and if you want you can get him a tourist visa for a short time with not problem with a consulate of spain. I just did that with my husband and my husband doesn't even work and I did take care of everything. I want with my husband and I took 3 bank statement originals, 2 photograh, our tickets round trip from austin to madrid and reservations only for madrid casablanca, the visa form, and the hotels reservation at madrid for one night, in a week we got a a tourist visa valid for one month and we can stay only 8 days in sapin with multiple entrees. you don't want to stay for 14 or 24 hours in the airport. I found a hotel close to the airport include a shuttle from the hotel to the airport for only $109 at the hilton. You need to get the taxe return for the past 2 years. Make sure to tell you fiancee the taxes returns and she will know as well as the affidavit of support. It's very simple and easy. I f she doesn't have the taxes return she can call the Social security and request the transcript and they will fax it to her right the way. Good luck with everything and be lucky they just ask you for only that paper and it's required by the consulat

I book my flights through American Airlines. They don't fly there but their partners, Iberia and British Airways do. I fly out of Chicago and connect in London or Madrid. I also flew Royal Air Maroc once and while it was nice not having to overnight in Europe going back, going out there sucked, since the flight was delayed 12 hours causing me to miss my connecting flight in Casablanca to Marrakech. Also finding overnight lodging in NYC is not much cheaper than Europe And with Iberia or BA, at least I can fly direct into Marrakech from Madrid or London. By far, my bookings through American Airlines have been the cheapest fare (ranging from $640-$850 rt).

congratulations for coming to america. the best way to do it is to buy a ticket from Royal Air Maroc casablanca to new york one way and have your wife buy a ticket with jet blue direct flight from New york to houston or austin or dallas non stop is better to avoid checking a laguages twice. I did the same with my husband and is much better

Yous hould not leave the state until your are done with NVC. the reason I'm saying that because NVC will work very fast and smooth with you. I totally understand you want to be with your husband but don't complicate the case. The post office will not forwaded the mail to you in pakistan because when the nvc or USCIS send a mail and cannot deliver to the same address it will be returned back to them and it will be a delay on your case. Just stay patient and finish what you start and stay on the top of everything. The NVC will need a lot of paper from you and as well from your husband after you pay all AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT, the visa bill etc. If you go to pakistan it will delay the process. I have been waiting 5 years for my husband to get here and I did stay on the top of everything and he is coming soon God Willing.If you do change your address ou have to let NVC know about it. It happens to me before when I changed my address it was a delay on my case. Just hanging there and everything will be fine and you all the alst one who can make decisions. Good luck with everything just keep up with everything

I don't think you will be having a second interview otherwise they will tell you on the phone when they called you. There's no way the lost your emails they are very attentive with the paper work maybe they need your emails specially the one you send to your wife. Our experience with Casablanca consulat was amazing and the people were very professionel.Take it easy and you will be fine. You have a lot of chance to get your visa just give them whatever they ask you for and be very nice to them don't forget you need them !!!! I can't wait to hear you got your visa good luck with everything and let me know how I can help you

The CO is asking for the Affidavit of support I-134 notorized you check the link for more information

www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134.pdf. You can't norotize the I-864 or I-864 EZ because those are to autorize the USCIS OR NVC to check on your records. Definatly your husband should take the original of the I-134 notorized and the I-864EZ or whatever you sent to NVC before.

You need a passport entry stamps . Let me know if you have a ny questions

You need to translate birth certificate, police certificat, celibacy certificate and prison certificate if they are asking for it. I don't know for you case what other documents are required. You can always go to NVC web site and look for preparation of the interview. Let me know if you have any more question . For the medical exam did cost my husband around 1100 DH
