Prepare one I-864 based on ALL adjusting aliens... include a copy of the I-864 for EACH application

pricipal immigrant is K-1 visa holder...Part 3 is for the K-2's

  6. oic. thank you for the info. just to get things straight, i hope you dont mind another question, if i file for me it will cost us 1010 dollars right? then additional 600 dollars each for my three kids ages 15,10,9? is that correct?

If you file all 4 at the same time: for you and for your 3 kids, the fee would be

    YOU: $1010

15 yr old kid: $1010 (separate application forms separate g325a)

10 yr old kid: $600 (separate application forms, no need for g325a)

9 yr old kid: $600 (separate application forms, no need for g325a)

if you would choose to file for yourself first and then file for the kids afterwards, the fee would be $1010 for your 15 yr old and then $930 for each of your 2 younger kids.

    hi again,

i have another question, since my son is 15 can he aplly for an ead together with his whole packet? so that he can work during the summer? just wondering....thanks

    all can apply for EAD

    thank you again.

    hello there friends,

need your help here pls. we are about to file our AOS this week and i am very confused if i have to file a separate I-485 for my oldest son who is 15 yrs. old when we arrived here. he is a derivative of my k1 visa so that makes him a k2 right? so the problem is when i read the guides in filing AOS, it says there that 14 yrs old and below need not pay biometrics which is included in the total amount of 1,010 dollars when i file my I-485 packet, so, do we pay for a separate fee for him or what? please help and enlighten.

another thing, if he can be included in my I-485 application, do i need to provide his own g325a? sorry but it is really confusing folks. thanks a lot to all who reply.

Separate application with separate fee... no two for ones when it comes to green cards. Over 14, each pay $1,010.

omg really? wow, thanks for the info. what about my two kids who came with me too? their ages are 10 and 9, do i have to file and pay separately?

yes, all potential green card applicant require a separate fee and application.. fee is $600 each if filed concurrently with the K-1 or $930 if not

no, the 15 year old is $1010 regardless of when filed.... price break for concurrent filings is only for those UNDER 14

thank you so much god bless

  10. Hello VJrs! nice to be back here! We are just on our way to gather documents for the AOS but because of financial constraints and the need for me to have the EAD to be able to work soon is it possible to file leaving the K2 behind in just few months? We have 2 kids and with how bad this recession has affected my husband's income intime we got here last December (bad timing!!) we can't afford filing for 3. We went to the Dept. of Homeland Security and told them our concerns, we were advised to do so but I still feel unsure until I hear something from one's experience.

She uses the WE (meaning plural) not the I. Left behind as in AOS application... Otherwise a trip to DHS was not needed but a talk with the consulate.

Sorry to mislead you, I used WE since we're married and WE consider them our kids (L) ..Our kids are 11, 15 so we are really obliged to pay the $1,010 and $600.

As told also, they aren't after follow ups with kids as they are not able to work yet.LOL..

    Thanks for the replies.

    hello there,

  13. hello to all vjers,

i would like to update all of you guys on the events that happened to me during the past week after i took the medical. i was able to get an interview date on feb 5 and i passed the interview and i requested to pick up the visa myself and they allowed me cause of the reason i gave them. i will pick up all our passports in the embassy on monday and bring my son to the cfo seminar so we could fly as soon as possible. my honey wants me by his side sooo bad hehehe. i love you gorgeous thing! see yah soon.

  14. hello to all vj friends,

i just want to share my happiness and experiences i have had when i was taking my medical last jan 26,28. it was a very long and boring process with the all the waiting and waiting me and my kids encountered. first day was like a a roller coaster. dont forget to bring your kids' immunization records and have it photocopied twice. they need that for their records. bring three 2x2 colored pics with white background and write your names at the back. have your appointment letter photocopied too cause they want that attached to your records too. hmm...lemme see what else? well i think im having braindrain...tired i guess...ill just post whatever else i think of. for now, i will get some sleep and thank god for helping us pass the medical exams. thank god we are all clear....next....interview....bye for now and thank you to all who have helped us so far.

  15. its me again,

i got another question guys. i hope someone can help me. we get the ds 157 from the bank right? i have answered the form online. can i just attach the validated ds 157 form to the ones i answered online?

another thing is, i have my kids coming with me and in question 17, since they are still in grade school do i just leave it blank or put NA? thanks again friends. god bless

You've got to use the form DS-157 that will be given to you at the bank-for you and for your kids-those are machine validated-have it checked at the back portion of the

    form before you leave the counter.Question #17 it's N/A...

Btw how old are your kids?mine are 9 and 12-they like it here in the US though-they adopt pretty much of everything here very easy.Goodluck sis

    hello sis,

thank you so much for the advice. you have been such a big help to me. i got three kids coming with me and they are 15,10,9, respectively. they are so excited already and cant wait to board the plane and feel snow! wow! i just pray to god now and ask HIM to grant us this wish and allow us to have a new life in america with my beloved fiancee and his two sons. god bless! thanks again.

The answer is yes. You can attached the DS-157 with the receipt stamped on it to one of the two DS-157 forms you already have filled out. Or, you can fill out the DS-157 with the receipt stamped on it and turn it in with one of the DS-157 forms you have filled out.

    Either way works.

thnak you so much for the reply. god bless.

YW..Wow..sounds like a big family coming up...i have 1 step son-easy to adjust on him coz he's only 8-Goodluck sis and to you kids..they will really like it here for sure.

yep sure is! hehe. thanks again sis.
