  1. hi everyone my hubby just called USEM grace said that our case is with the CO. i was interviewed aug. 20 receive pink and white slip 4 DV. embassy got the result of my DV sept. 24 until now were still under review... so worried guys.. why still under review is there any problem with our papers? they dint ask for another documents.. just wondering why...

    BIONICGURL:

I finally found out why my case is being held up. Apparently, they can't find proof that I've already paid my DV, which is ridiculous since I gave them the original Metrobank validation after my interview! Called Grace yesterday and she informed us that they can't find my receipt? What the heck? Why would Delbros then send me text confirmation that they received my payment and that they forwarded my dv to NSO back in Aug 12. This does not make sense at all! Is DELBROS just sending us text messages that are not true?

I am really pissed off since it is the dv thats keeping them from processing my papers!

    ARGHH!! :help:

Anyway, sorry for the rant!

  2. HONEYBADGER,

What proofs of domicile did you turn in? We are in the same boat. My husband was asked to provide proof of us domicile after my interview was done. And up till now, we are still under review apparently. Our doc verification is also wayy delayed. Its been with the NSO since Aug 12 and up to now still not done? What are they doing? Does it really take almost two months for this?

Hes been here almost two years and maybe that's why they were questioning him with his US domicile.

We've also called Delbros to make sure they didn't mess up the doc verification and that they've actually forwarded it to NSO on the date they text'ed me that they did.

Hope we get good news soon!

    Have a great weekend!

  3. Gosh! I am on the same boat. Seems like my DV is slower than a snail's pace. Maybe molasses? heheh...I dunno... All I could do right now is laugh at how ridiculous DV is taking when I could go to the NSO local office and get my documents myself in less than two hours wait! I am really getting pissed off, but have no way of venting really! And now we can't even inquire about the status of DV! GRR!! Called Lorraine yesterday and still no DV! "We are still awaiting the results of your document verification." How lame! When I paid my DV last Aug. 11 and apparently it was already forwarded to NSO since AUG 12 according to text inquiry.

It's been almost two months for my dv!!! Anyone else waiting as long as I have been?

    Bella

  4. Sorry didn't notice that the link was not working.

    heres the right one...

    Hi Fellow VJers!

I think they are trying to put up a website for "Visa Services Online for the United States Embassy?"

Hopefully it will be easier for all of us to try to check updates on our Visa Applications.

How soon can they get this up and running?

you can check it out here

    Delbros Visa Services Online

  5. response:

    0. What kind of limbo are we talking of? If it's just DV then there might not be enough time before approval.

    1. The CR has to be processed through NVC. Then has to be expedited to catch up with your k3 awaiting approval. If the k3 is approved before the I-130 gets there then it is too late, unless you are willing to redo the interview etc...

2.+3. The medical and DV are valid for any visa going through the embassy at the same time.

    4. Of course you would have to pay for the IV visa fee at NVC plus the I-864 fee, which come to $470

    5. The I-130 can only expedited to the embassy to catch up with the k3 visa processing by mutual consent of the embassy and NVC.

All this is likely to take at least 5-8 weeks if your I-130 is already at the NVC but you have to rush it through using shortcuts. If you have already started the NVC I-130 processing, then it may take less time.

    Hi again!

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Limbo refers to DV and AR. So there's been quite a wait and more to come, I think. The thing is our CR1 docs were received by the USEM after K3 interview. And now we are awaiting interview appointment, I think? If only it had arrived before we had it, we could have avoided a lot of headaches and heartache for that matter.

Do we need to inform the CO that we intend to change K3 to CR1? or will that be made automatically done since we are on queue for appointment for CR1?

Also the documents turned in for the K3 interview, will they be used again for the CR1? or will we have to acquire new sets?

    Thanks for your time!

    BellaMarie

  6. HI!

My husband and I were thinking of switching to CR1 since our K3 application seems to be in limbo. I've read your story and I would like to ask you some questions. I've basically gone through all the K3 process, medical, interview, etc. My question or rather questions are these:

    1. Will there be additional requirements for me to go through if we chose to do CR1?

    2. Since the CR1 and K3 applications will have differing case numbers will I need to do another DV processing or will the K3 dv be taken into account?

    3. Could I use my K3 medical for the CR1 or redo it?

    4. Will there be additional fees, like another visa delivery fee, etc?

    5. My passport and some documents were left at the embassy, will they automatically transfer those to be used for the CR1 interview? Or will I have to go get them myself?

    Much obliged,

    BellaMarie

  7. yipeee my husband visa was approved this morning. Thank you Lord for an answered prayers. thanks for the vj's family who prayered for my husband.

    CONGRATS! BON VOYAGE!

  8. Does someone know if I would be required to redo the Medical exam to opt for CR1 if I have already done so but with the K3 visa application?

Anyone with the same situation or have had the same situation?

    Please let me know.

Also about the other requirements, since basically they are similar, except of course for the Affidavit of Support ( I134 vs 1864), what will happen if I already did the interview and handed in all the requirements, but K3 visa is not yet approved? Can I opt for CR1 instead? Cause I really would want to work when I get there and not be a lazy bum. hehe..

  10. any update? goodluck sis

Hi Sis! I actually called the USEM to ask what's the update on my application. And Lorraine informed me that my DV is still with the NSO! I told her that its been six weeks since they forwarded it to them. She told me to check back again later and to call the 1 909 call center number. Apparently, since they haven't received the results of my DV yet, the CO can't start reviewing my file! ARGHH! DV ko na lang nagpapatagal!! I hope they do it quickly! August pa sa NSO DV ko. So right now, I am in limbo.

I really don't know what to do. Waiting is such a burden! :bonk:

    Goodluck!

I will let you know of further updates, kung meron man.

Sis, those are good proofs. It all depends on the CO. They have discretion on each application, so pray na lang na considerate CO makuha nyo. Be prepared too na hindi makajoin sa interview. They are really strict. Here's a pointer. Just tell them you need to go to American Citizen Services, para atleast nasa loob ka wait. Then you could join husband mo during the wait, but not for the actual interview. We are still waiting...and waiting...

Let us know how your interview goes! GOODLUCK!!! (L)

  12. hello vj's members. i need your prayers for my husband interview this coming mon 29th of sept. i wish everything turn out smooth. im going back to California this coming october and i prayed we can travel together i really need ur prayers guys i really do appreciated it in advance... may god bless us and and goodluck to u guyz

GOODLUCK! SIS! I just read your message. Hope I was able to help! :)

  13. I called USEM this evening and while (or after) punching up information I was asked when was our wedding date. I said I didn't know because we can't make plans until Sweety has Visa. I was then told we were approved and Sweety will have Visa in hand next week.

We now have a goal of travel day of Next Saturday but we know that must be flexible because we don't know when we will have VISA actually in hand and if there will be time to go to CFO. Also Sweety needs to put her mother's name on her bank account at BPI and I have to make arrangements for time off from work.

I will be taking 2 weeks off and we will meet in Las Vegas and get married in a nice little chapel there. Sweety will be bringing her wedding dress she had made in Quezon City and I have my suit ready. I will be bringing along a steamer as I know we will need it to get some wrinkles I am sure have set in.

We thank all here at VJ and wish a smooth ride for those in process at all stages of their process.

    TexPamp

    CONGRATULATIONS!!! Best Wishes!

  14. Finally the long wait for our inteview has come: SEPT. 10, 2008 @ 6:30am. I have 6 kilos worth of solid evidence w/me today AND THEN, it was ironic because they only asked our pictures and remittances! U can just imagined how heavy carrying 6 kilos all the time plus w/ a 5 yr-old makulit na bata pa. Anyways, though many have had a very different interviewing experience than me, it is quite true that we had a very nice pre-screener named: MAE window 18, and she was very accommodating and considerate. My consul however was a young american woman in her 30's or early 40's! behind window 27, and she indeed looked like Princess DIANA! She was very soft spoken and when she looked at our pics taken from different tourist spots here in phils. she said: WOW! He's a very handsome guy... (she said so with a very wide smile.) I said: "Thank You maa'm" LOL! She browsed everything one by one, then she looked at our photo album on our wedding and stated more than twice; oh dear, he is handsome, and the 3rd time: He is handsome smiling looking on our wed pics (nagka-interes yata sa asawa ko, is it because my husband is a latino? w/ evenly tanned skin and nice body built?) me and my child looked at each other and smiled everytime we heard her comments. I felt relieved though 'coz my prayers has been answered to have a good and nice consul and not the mean/evil one. Our interview only lasted for about only 5 minutes, the ff:

Raised your right hand BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!

    Who is your name: RSAG

    Petitioner: my husband, ORG

    When did u meet: July 03, 2006

When did he visited u: Aug. 31 to Oct. 01, 2007

When did u get married: September 17, 2007

What u like most about ur husband personally: (seems she is very interested with hubby! hahahaha): I go he is a very loving, understanding & caring person. He loves my entire family spcly my child, he likes our culture and he gladly adapt it, a good provider and God fearing and loves to eat RICE coz of ME. Consul said: "even if he is a U.S. Citizen? He must dearly loves you so much.

Do u know the personal background of your husband: He was a former Head Correctional Officer, Florida Estate Prison; a former Sergeant E5 in the Army w/highly confidential clearance, a Licensed Realtor and currently working as a Senior Sales Manager Timeshares Company.

How much he sends you monthly support? $xxxx

Where is the Father of the child? Passed away In what year? 2004 Do u have a Death Certificate?

She gave me a Pink and a White Slip and the white slip not because of my DV but for doc x1 verification regarding the death certificate of my child's father and I was sure glad I was able to reproduce the NSO death certificate and also showed it to the Consul when she asked for it, otherwise I would of had to reproduce additional documents. Though, it shouldn't be that way coz I never marry my child's father di ba? but still she wants to authenticate the validity of such docs. Im positive & confident we will get our visa sooner or later USEM kept our passports and asked to pay delbros for visa delivery.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to those V.J.'s who prayed for us and wished us good luck during the entire process leading to this DAY! our BIG DAY!. Thank to everyone of you that left me offline messages and even called me to ask how the interview went!, Also thanks so much to those of u whom never tire of answering my never ending questions  NAMELY: boyceedith & dear; 0opink0o (Dian, na mas excited pa yata sakin na mainterview ako), hannyperez (ang friend kong lukaret sa vj); prettynpink (pim na maganda & very cool person); Shape & gurl (my bestfriends sa VJ); jegu ryu (pretty & sexy Ann); Pushbrk (help me alot when Im still a newbie); marieford_20 (kaya mo yan sis); marjorie; cassanova21 (thanks for ur help), kennethea (thanks for always being a friend to me); mamalou (noa2 is coming); amorsiempre (ur cool & kind); mhal2008 (thanks for the word of wisdom & moral support); MJ3lasvegas (Jov, i have a great time reading ur pm's); Nimfa & Rodge (I enjoyed my time w/u guys); lostgurl18 (thanks for the tips/infos); MARIA (salamat sa tawa at kasiyahan); shaman_goddess/iloveyou16; dbears (thanks sa concern) & OFCOURSE TO MY EVER LOVING, KIND AND SUPPORTIVE HUSBAND & NIKKI. Congrats! Especially for having a wonderful experience during your interview.

    Lokashadow

    Hi Lokashadow!

Sis, masyado mahigpit na mga airlines when it comes to baggage allowances. How old is your son? Minsan kci mas konti baggage allowance for baby/toddler. Pero think of it this way, you could always buy those there na. And para mas comfortable ang flight nyo magmommy, don't have too many things na hahawakan pag checkin.

As for Manila Forwarders, my inlaws use them to send us stuff. Reliable naman.

Hope you have a safe and comfortable trip!

  20. Hi to all VJ'S...

My son & i having a hard time packing our things, according to my fiancee he called the airlines and said we can carry 2 luggage bag each passenger.each bag should be 22 kilos...total of 44 kilos each passenger..!!!

is this means we can carry 4 luggage bags as long as each bag weight 22 kilos???and no probelem in my poe???iam worried that they will ask me why i have so many luggages?? that its very obvious that i will live in usa forever..lol..

PS..or can i have 3 luggage as long as total of 100 pounds???im confused..pls need ur help and advice!!!

    Thank you,

    Irene

Try to check out the airline's website for luggage limitations and carry-on allowances. Also try to find out if they have additional regulations, such as no liquids in carryons, etc.

Some airlines are very strict with baggage. So compliance is a must! If they say 22 kg per bag, they mean 22 kg per bag.

    Which airline are you booked?
