    I filed an affidavit of support for my wife in 2009 and she is yet to remove the condition on her green card. A friend want me to help him co-file for his parents.My question is will it affect my wife's immigration process( removal of condition) and what are my liability to my friends parents if i file for them?

    Ps My income is enough to file for all of them.

    Congrats, The end justifies the means. You can now sleep well.

    My wife went for her first medical today and was told to come back on the 3rd of November which is one day before her interview. I hope it goes well.

    Our case was completed on 9/25/2008 and my wife will be having her interview on 11/4/2008 ( election day)at Lagos.

    When is the best time to go for medical test and what documents does she need for the medical test in Lagos?.

    I read in this forum that one can not enter the embassy with a cell phone.What are the other items one is not allowed to enter the embassy with?

    My fiancee wants to know all about the Medical exam particularly as it applies to OB/GYN part of the exam. Can someone please let me know if you

    have had the Medical Exam if it is very detailed? Can she ask for a female doctor?

    When i had my medical last aug 6 i was as scared as ur fiancee but when it was at the physical exam part where u hav to be naked, it wasnt as embarrassing as what i thought it was...ur fiancee will have to wear a hospital gown and will be asked to lie down....the doctor will be female that i assure u and as a nurse i know that as a patient u have the ryt to ask for a female doctor if they assigned a male doctor to ur fiancee..tell her that if that happens to her...the doctor checked my ####### because some may have hemorrhoids and i heard that should be removed first...then the doctor told me to be in a position like when you deliver a baby and just look on my private area that was just it...she didnt have internal examination and this only took happened for 5 mins i guess so no room for fears tell her that...hope this would help

    Name mixed up for DS230

    I just mailed my spouses DS230 to NVC.Her Name on her passport and birth certificate is( Last, first, middle) Smith , Ruth-Ann Jane but she has been to the embassy 8 years ago for a visitor visa and the passport she used has her name as( Last, first, middle) Smith , Jane Ruth. I included it as name previously used .I hope it will not be any problem as her birth day is same on both passport. I will like to add that the old passport has expired.Has anybody had such a situation?

    Sorry about that, but you need to provide us with more information about your case in order to give you suggestions.

    Are you and your fiance both Nigeria born?If not you need overwhelming evidence to prove your case

    What questions / information did they ask her that she can not provide/answer?

    Do you have overwhelming prove of your relationship? Pics, E-mail, phone records etc.

    Where you in a marriage ,when you claim to be dating her?

    They should have told her their reason for denial. Ask her to recollect what transpired during the interview when she settles down.

    These and some other questions need to be answered before one can give you a viable suggestion.

    My Wife Visa Approved @ Lagos

    :dance::dance::dance:Hi All, I just wanted to update you all that my wife's CR1 interview today at Lagos embassy went very smooth and she was APPROVED! The consular officer didnt ask for any relationship evidence documents what did the whole thing was our pictures. Instead he asked my wife lot of questions.The officer was very very jovial and pleasant! I still cant believe its been approved! Now its time to look for airline tickets!!!!!!!!!!!! But I would like to take a moment and thank ALL of you who helped us every step of the way. I have been a member of VJ ever since I began this process back in march and I will continue to provide assistance to anyone as best as I can. For those of you still waiting to be approved, my wife and I will be praying for your approvals. there are some of the questions they ask her

    1) who did u want to go and meet in america and what is ur husband full name

    2)how, where and when did you meet

    3) when did he travelled and how many time as he visit since he travelled

    4)here did he stay(house or apartment)

    5) did u had a wedding if so what kind church or registry and what about traditional wedding ( and she gave her pictures for the church and traditional wedding cos she brought alot of pictures both from her parent and from me so she woman really likes them and she said she like our traditionally wedding pics that u choose the color

    6)when did he propose and how

    7)he u or ur husband ever had any kid

    so the lady told he that she should come back on sept. 2 to pick up her visa and not to book ticket until then

    for all vj please make sure ur benefiaciary study the form ds 230 very well cos they will ask most of the question in the form cos they believe that it was the beneficiary that filled the form so he/she should know the info in the form.

    Bodmas please do they pull out petitioners informatin during interview if he filed for a visa through lagos embasy or is it only the beneficiary's?
