  2. HI all!! I hope to get some clarifications with regards to my situation.

I'm due to remove my conditional status in March. I was browsing through the I-751 form and on

PART 3: QUESTION #9: HAVE YOU RESIDED AT ANY OTHER ADDRESS SINCE YOU BECAME A PERMANENT RESIDENT? (IF YES, ATTACH A LIST OF ALL ADDRESSES AND DATES).

I have been out of the country for school. I was out from May to October, then I came back to the US to visit my husband for almost 3 weeks, I left again in November and will be back in April with my husband (the husband will vacation and we both will travel to the US together)

Would this be a problem with my removal of condition? We've filed joint taxes, joint bank accounts, health and dental insurance, 401ks, joint credit cards, , pictures, att bills, etc.

Would I answer YES to that question and list the dates?

I'm now worried that this might be a problem. I was away because I was requested by the National Association Boards of Pharmacy to do 1 year of Pharmacy studies to be able to take the qualifying exam - If I study in the US, it will take me 3 years with some debts but I went back to the Phil to study for just 1 year - well, technically 10 months or so.

Please, I need you inputs. :)

    Thanks in advance!!!

  3. Hello!!

    I need your opinions.

I am now back in the US after being away for almost 5 months (studying), I need to return in a few weeks for another 5 months again. I will be in the US with my husband for almost 3 weeks before I return. When I went through LAX, the IO was quite nice but suggested that it may be "safe" for me to get a re-entry permit since I cant guarantee to get a nice IO next time I come back. FYI when I return after 5 months, I will be with my US Citizen husband - he will be accompanying me and we will be returning the US at the same time, same flight. My husband thinks it will be okay since it will still be less than 1 year but what should I do? Should I apply for the reentry? The IO wrote on the stamp on my passport "Out for 5 months"

I am a bit confused. Can they deny my entry to US? I mean I still maintain my residency by filling taxes with my husband, have a bank - credit/debit cards. I have a letter from the Board of Pharmacy requiring me to study for 1 year that's why I'm studying abroad.

    Thanks in advance!!!

  4. pls help..planning 2 travel 2 philippines and my flight is coming...my passort and my permanent resident have different middle name and im worried if i will have 2 face any problem in immigration 2 come back here in US...

    Late Reply.

But you shouldav went to the Phil Embassy in LA and get a new passport with your married name or get an amendment on your old passport, it takes a few minutes and then they'll mail the passport back to you - they might do expedited services, not so sure though. But that's what you shouldav done, by anyhow hope everything turned out okay for you

  5. Hey Would I have a problem if I leave for let's say 4-5 months to go to school then come back here to be with my hubby for 2 weeks then leave again for another 4 months to go back school? Would that be a problem when I remove condition via K1? Also would it be a hassle at POE?

    Some input please

No you won't. My hubby is going to visit his family in Panama next week, he's staying for a week. As a resident you and go in and out of the country, but they will ask you more questions as to why you left the states at the POE into the US. But then again, even as a citizen (me), when I travel out of the country I get asked a whole bunch of questions when I come back too. But as long as your card is vaild, not expired, and your trip isn't for a long period of time (I'd say more than 1 month) then there should be no issue with you leaving or coming back. hope this helps.

  6. Hey guys!!

    I have some questions:

I have a conditional GC through K1 visa which expires 2011. I can apply for I-751 on March 2011. Anyway, I am planning on going back to Philippines to study, just for 1 year - my hubby will accompany me to go then go back here but I'll stay for the first semester of school which is June - October. During the semestral break on Oct, I plan to come to the US to see my hubby during this break then go back to Phils in Nov until March. Would this affect my I-751 when we apply? Would they question the validity of the marriage or can I show them the proof that I did went to school and ofcourse my hubby and I will communicate everyday, etc..

Can someone please enlighten me.. please please..

    Thanks!!!

  7. Hey guys!

    I just want some clarification:

Status: Conditional Green Card 2 yrs expires on early 2011 (file for I-751)

Problem: I want to know if I can go back to the Philippines to study for 1 year, well I prolly would be gone for june -october then maybe do a short trip to see my hubby here in the US then go back from Nov to March. Would that be fine or would that hinder or affect when we file for the Removal of Condition? My hubby supports my decision because this is for the betterment of my career here. I needed that in order to take the Foreign Pharmacist Exam. Would they suspect something if we do that? Or would that be alright?

OR Do we just have to wait until we file for the I-751 and get the 10yr GC?

I need your opinions please. :)

  8. Hey guys, I'm kinda worried about the situation I'm in so please help....

It's not much of a big deal I think but earlier today I got an email from USCIS saying

The last processing action taken on your case

    Receipt Number: **************

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On July 9, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I have never gotten an approval notice or anything before.... but now they're sending me a GC...?! Is this normal? Has this happened to anybody before??

I hope they aren't mistaking or anything....

You would normally get a "Welcome Letter" in the mail after a few days...... then get the GC a few weeks after..

  9. Shey, yes, I received the same email as yours today.

Just a update, I got my Green Card 3rd July last Friday. Will be USCIS free for 21 months.

Thanks for sharing all info, guys. Hope the best for all of you. ^^

Alright this is just weird. I got an email from CRIS today telling me that

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On July 7, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

BUT I actually already received my GC last Jun 29th. Maybe just a delayed email??!!! Has anyone had this kind of email after they've physically received the card

I thought that was the case hehe! It was just weird but I guess they are really late updating their system.

BTW, congrats to those who got their GC's!!!
