Just so I understand this correctly:
Within 90 Days prior to the expiration date on my wife's Green Card we need to send the USCIS form I-751 with a Cashiers Check for $625.00 and then she will have the actual permanent "Permanent Resident Card." My wife arrived on a K-1 Visa.
Does that sound correct?
Hope all is well with all of you and best of luck to everyone!

Our experience with Seattle, Tukwila, Service Center has been like going to the airport. If you don't have the ticket, letter of appointment in this case, they won't even let you in. They're not very user friendly at all. Trying to call them is next to impossible. Once in they are pleasant enough folks and try to get out quickly. Good luck!

My wife came to the USA and we are now married as of 11/9/08. I am completing the I-184, Affadavit of Support, for our AOS package and I am confused if I am supposed to complete the form as if we are not yet married using her maiden name instead of her married name.
Part 5 of the I-184 asks if I am currently married but if I answer yes it will show my wife as being counted twice.
Anyone who has had experince with this form please let us know. Your input will be appreciated!

Hello,
I am confused about where to send the Adjustment of Status paperwork. We live in Washington State and the information shows that we need to send our paperwork to Nebraska but other information tells us Chicago. Which is correct? Trying to contact USCIS is very difficult. Thanks

My fiance finally received her K1 visa and will be flying from Manila in early October.
I have read that the ticket must originate in the Philippines but I will pay for it from here, Seattle.
Has anyone done this? Problems? Suggestions?

Does anyone have an idea of who I can contact at the Embassy in Manila regarding a K1 Visa. Our application is 10 weeks processing and still no visa. Embassy says to be patient and there is no problem with the application. Delbros only shows "Shipment Processing at the Embassy" Any suggestions? Thanks!
10 weeks WOW!! why its taking so long?
try to call (02)301-2000 local 5185
Thanks! I will try.
God bless and God speed.

Call Grace about twice a week and slowly torture her about your Visa.
Sounds like the Document Verification process has caught you
My fiance had her interview almost three months ago in Manila and we are still waiting on the K1 visa. I have called the embassy and they said there is no problem and that the visa has not been denied. No "report back" letter has been issued. They tell us to just be patient. The document verification fee has been paid, twice. Still no update on the Delros website. Does anyone have any suggestions? Help!Is Grace in the embassy call center?
My torturing can begin as soon I know.
Thanks for the tip.
Go Cowboys!

EAD during or after K1?
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
When my wife and I sent the Adjustment of Status we sent along the Employment Authorization with it. When we filed out AOS in November 2008 you could file the EAD for free. If you wait to file the EAD separately there will be separate charge of $130.00 as I recall. Maybe more, probably not less, by now.
Good luck!
