Hello,
Does anybody know if the embassy will ask to see last years taxes at K-1 visa interview? Do I have to send last years taxes with I 134?????????????
I did not make much last year, but I have been working very very hard this year so that when he goes in for adjustment of status, then I will qualify just fine.
I can supply all copies of paystubs for the past year- which will equal $26,000
plus I just sold my house and will be getting $35,000 from the sale of it.
But last year I think I only made about $10,000 and it was a joint tax return with my exhusband- who i was seperated from when we filed taxes but still filed together to make it easier.
thanks
I am filing at the same embassy as you are and my attorney had me to submit my tax returns transcript for the last three years. I also had to submit a letter stating how long I have been employed along with my yearly salary.

Do you have an NVC Case Number already?
If not, call the NVC at (603) 334-0700 and you will be prompted to enter your case number so you can speak to a live agent.
When you have the NVC Case Number, call the Department of State at (202) 663-1225. Press 1 then 0. Ask them if the US Embassy in your area has already processed your file into their system. If they said yes, contact the US Embassy and verify that appointment date.
Hello Visa Journey,As you can probably tell this is my first time posting a topic.
I received a letter from my local senator office on Thursday, September 17 stating that we have a Interview date set for October 21, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. (actually received a copy of actual letter sent by the Consulate to the
Senators office)
"Thank you for your email inquiry of August 27, 2009, regarding the immigrant visa (K3) application of my fiance full name. Your constituent, my full name, contacted you regarding his case."
The letter goes on to state the interview date and that his name will be on the appointment list at the Consulate gate.
Here is the problem we did not apply for a K3 visa we applied for a K1 visa. After speaking with the senator's and pointing out the error. I was asked if we had received a notice from them as well, my response was no.
I did received an email from the consulate after inquiring by email if the package will be mailed out or email. The email consisted of an attachment of the package that has to be completed but nothing on their official lettehead. The senators office did say they would inquire with the Consulate office because their letter stated I129-f when they made the inquiry.
Yes, I have a NVC number. Thanks for the wonderful advice!!!!
That is the same date we have. Are you going to the interview as a couple ?Yes that sounds great!!!!!!!
