Hi guys! Need some help or advice from anybody who had experienced on applying for a police clearance from a different country like Taiwan. I shouldn't be applying for it on the first place bec. as indicated on the ds-157, q-9: list all countries you have entered in the last ten [10] years. I went there in Taiwan 12 years ago and since I met my love during that time. So during the pre-screener interview , I told the exact place where I met my love. So this was the result of the interview of the pre-screener and the consul, wherein I receive a pink and white slip.
I paid $11 and an extra $4 for the clearance and mailing fee and mailed through an express mail in the post office last Oct. 2, it was received in Taiwan Oct. 6. (Note:I send the money in cash inside a big envelope with all the needed requirements and a self-address envelope).
It's almost 2 weeks and i had no any response mail coming from the police dept.of Taipei. Is it really that slow or i have to be more patient? Can anybody share me there experience and advice me too on what to do. Thanks for any replies....
You were there 12 years AGO?then u don't need it what they asking is 10 years NOT more than that.I went to dubai also 2003-2005 and iraq 2005-2007 and had my interview last May.They never asked me about police certificate, just don't say anything about that on your interview unless if they ask but tell them....long time ago, that wouldn't effect your papers. When is your interview?

She is not on her period. I just txt her again. She says it is not doctor that tells her to return on Monday, it is nurse. She says other VJ members are there also, and some return on Monday or Tuesday, but those that finished early in the day will return on Friday.
I am assuming from this, they are have a idea of how busy the clinic will be, so the try to ease the crowd.. just a guess.

oh sorry to hear that,i was mad at st. lukes also for not giving me vaccine which i paid, they had told me that for k1 visa immunization will be done here in US and obviously another pay again,so i don't understand why st.lukes have to do that.we paid them right! And now they're giving hard time your fiance to get her medical done. They should realized how much we sacrifice also as an applicant. They must do something better though applicant paid them right.

We can NOT call the 800 number because we live in the Philippines. So, we have to call the 1-909-101-7878.
Hello,
You cannot use any cellphone or smart sim.the way you can call them is to use a housephone(landline). The rate will be 52php per minute.
Good luck...

Hi guys,
Been here in US for 3 weeks already, and im quite adjusted with the environment, weather, time and sleeping pattern. i am really happy to be here with my sweety. anyway, i've been experimenting and trying to cook here to please my husband. im not really a good cook , but he liked every Filipino dish I made sweeeet! . it reminds him of Philippines.
i cooked adobo, menudo, pancit canton, tocino, and caldereta.
Any suggestion of other Filipino dishes?

I hope the title wasn't too cryptic.
My wife and I have been married for 1 year and she has had her green card for roughly 9 months. Is there anyway for her to legally go home to visit her sick grandfather before he passes or for the funeral if he does die? I know that on a K1 visa she is not supposed to leave the country until she gets her 10 year green card, but I was wondering if they would allow her to leave for sickness or death of extended family.
Thanks,
Kevin

There is no problem in that,as long as she don't stay for over 1 year. She just need to show her green card and passport at the US immigration when she get back.

Where is CFO located in MAnila?is it alright to go there even if i don't have my visa yet? :help:
they will not give your certificate without visa,so you better wait on your visa delivery before you attend the seminar...

Hello,
My fiancee from the philippines and I are now married and starting to file for aos but we do not know what are the vaccations required and also uscis has posted new requirements? do these apply to her since her medical was in May 15 and 16 in manila. the doctors there told her that she need more shots once she was in the us but did not inform her which ones? she also has series of three boster shots that the doctors said need updating in three months? does she get these shots again here before we can file aos. any help or advice is appreciated.. fitruner@yahoo.com please respond here since some of the advice here on VJ is already outdated.
thanks,
WaltnRafi
Did she brought her immunization record from PI?

Hello all,
I have a unique question I cannot find answered anywhere.
My husband has a possible job opportunity in the US possession of American Samoa. I applied for AOS yesterday along with my EAD. Upon some of my research, I have learned American Samoa has their own immigration laws yet has many "American" laws. Does anyone know if I move their before I receive my GC does it affect my status? WIll I still be in status as it is considered a US possession/territory?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
