I understand your wife wanting her family in the philippines live a better life. That's the way we are, helping the family but as what you posted here, she is sending them too much she should let her family aware the situation her in the united states especially this time that everybody got lay off at work you two should save save for the emergency.. So my fiance just went to Cebu for the CFO .. they will not issue her the CFO certificate without the following ...

A photo copy of MY passport ( I am hesitant on this but I will be blacking out the Passport number ) ... I don't see the need for them to have this in the first place .... unbelievable ...

Secondly they are asking for a Certificate of Singleness from me ... well if they had half a brain there they would know that my petition for my fiance wouldn't be approved if I wasn't single and free to marry ... but anyway I realize what I am dealing with here ..

Anyone know what we can do here in the US to fulfill this request for a certificate of singleness here in the US? As far as I know we don't have such a document or a cenomar like in the PHILS ... thanks for any help

Of all the steps in this visa process, only that cebu seminar giving me a hard time, i regret so much why I had my seminar there. I don't like cebu cfo.

I advice that you should wait till you already set an interview, and have her come to Manila to have her physical a week before that and just wait there for the interview.

Some DFA Office require to have a CFO seminar before she get can a passport especially if she put their as fiance visa as her purpose so maybe it's better if she just can check as tourist as her purpose of getting a passport.. She can attend that seminar after she gets the visa or when she's in manila while she is having her medical, the less cost too, she can do it at the same time. I hope this helps..

Just try to call them back in 4 days or a week. Don't wait for the mail because it takes too long before you receive it. I have experienced that before but we keep trying calling them and finally we get the interview schedule, maybe for now if you get NVC letter showing the MNL case number tell your fiancee to get ready for medical. She is good to go once you have it..

Hi everyone! I am here to ask an opinion again.. It's my 12 days here in the US and we are going to get married this saturday. I found out that it's best if I should get SSN before marriage so we won't have any problems in the future like my one friend experience who did not able to get SSN because she got it after marriage and that they told her they will give her SSN once her AOS approve, what happen now is shes not covered with the medical insurance of her husband,my problem is my husband is busy at work and he can't able to get a half day off this week so he told me we are going to get SSN next week after we are married. is it okey? it states here in the SSN guide that I need to wait 2weeks to get it and it still my 12 days right now here.. Do I need to cancel my wedding this saturday or I should really get SSN before marriage.. Hmm im really confuse now.. Thanks advance for any help and advices here.

Hi girl, your friend is not right when she told you it's ok to have two petitioners at the same time. I suggest that if you don't love your first boyfriend anymore then tell him and cancel the K1 process.. and maybe if all things are fine with your 2nd boyfriend then maybe that's the time to start the K1 process again with him as your petitioner.. Remember, God will help you only if you have good intentions..
