Ahmed and I are planning to go on Saturday. We are looking forward to going.

When it ask for which USCIS office what are they looking for? the Office that give his visa interview or the office that I plan sending the paperwork to? Plz help me

Update, Ahmed arrived at JKF and went through customs without a problem. He also catched his connecting flight to Chicago on time and landed in chicago around noon on the 14th of June. It is so wonderful to have him home finally.

I talked to Ahmed tonight and he gave me some more information on his flight. It arrives in New York at 0635 in the morning on the 14th. Then his flight to Chicago is departs at 0915 from JFK. That is only 2 hour and 40 minutes for him to get through immigration and catch his connecting flight. Inchaalah, since his flight is earlier in the day, I hoping he get through quickly.

I booked my ticket from Cairo to Charlotte .And i have 3 hours and 15 min layover in NY and i hope that we both will make it ! It seems like your husband will take Egyptair from Cairo to JFK '' the same like me ''

Ok I have a dumb question. My husband booked his ticket from Cairo to Chicago with a layover in New York. Now does he go immigration in New York or Chicago and if he goes through Immigration in New York about how long does this take; because he only has a three hour layover?

Very good news today, Ahmed gots his visa in the mail . FINALLY!

my advice is ask him to make a new police certificate because next week they will call him back and ask him for new one , so it will be better when he has a new one already and send it on the same day they call him for it .

i am sure they will call him asking for it as his interview is back in december .

They asked for it at his interview in October. He just got his police certificate in February. So inchaalah it still will be good.

More good news today, the embassy called Ahmed asking for his passport. He told them that they already had it and he asked him how soon would he travel if he gets his visa. Because his medical will expire in Augest. He told them as soon as possible. Then they told he should hear something about his visa in the next week, but Im not holding my breath; after all this the embassy.

Finally some progress, Ahmed called the embassy yesterday and they told him that they finished his review. Now they are search his name and photo. Does anyone know how long this take?

Its now Satuday.

Today my friend Howida is graduating and next week she will home to Misr. I have mixed feelings about this. She has been with me while Ahmed's paperwork is finishing. On one hand Im happy for her and and the other hand she is the last piece of Misr I have left.

Im so sick of hearing that Ahmed's case is pending final review. I mean come on really, I have been hearing this now for three months. It should not take this long.

Well when it comes to USA embassy in Egypt you really can not expect anything .

No one can tell you how long its going to take till he get the visa in his hand .

What did they say to him when he call or when he Email them ?

Yeah unfortunately it takes the embassy 3 or 4 weeks to respond bac to the senator/congressman office .

I hope that you will hear something soon .

When he call the embassy, they told him it just waiting for a signiture and it as be done in a week, but that was two weeks ago. They also told me the same thing when I called last week. As far as the email goes they havent responded yet to that.

My husband k3 visa paperwork cleared Washington in March and was sent back to Egypt for final approval. Now it's May and still no visa yet. Ahmed calls the embassy everyday they are open and sends them email. How long do we have to wait. I contact Senitor Kohls' office to see if they could help grease the wheels. I talk to the lady from his office today and she said that the embassy has 30 days to respond back to her.

Ok let me translate and sum this up real quick

You need to write to this email address: cjn@justice.gouv.fr

Your mail needs to include:

- Full identity (name, surname, other names if necessary, first name, birth date, place and country of birth)

- A proof of your identity (ie copy of passport, ID...) in GIF, JPG or PDF

- Your complete postal address

You should get a reply after a few days.

They only send it through snail mail.

There are some other way to request it but this seemed the fastest to me.

Unfortunatly the online request is not available for people for live outside of France. :s

So we have to fax it in since I live in the USA and my husband lives in Egypt. Thank you for ur help.

My husband has been trying to got his police records from France now since Nov 4. He faxed, mailed, and emailed his request in. On the website, it siad it should be about a month for him to recieve it and we are still waiting. Is there someone we can call or email to speed up the process?

This is the only thing the American Embassy in Cairo needs to start his background check. Please give me some advice.

Ahmed fax, mail, and emailed his request on Nov 4th for his police record from France and we are still waiting for this. On the France website it said it would take a month. Ok, where is it? Ahmed resent the request in again in early Dec, still yet nothing.

Is there anything else we can do besides wait? Is there someone we can call or email?

I don't do much of anything expect for work the night shifts and sleep. Besides, I didnt really feel like celebriting Christmas since Ahmed isnt here yet and all my family lives over three hours away.

Please dont take to heart what people say that have sharp tongues. Their sharp tongues will cut themselves someday. Congrats on your little blessing.

If I am remembering right. I got the I 797 for the I-129 f months ago. I remember sending Ahmed the NOA froms ( both the NOA 1 and NOA 2) so he could send these into the Embassy. Give Ahmed a call to double check if Im remembering correctly.

The anwser maybe simple enough for you to send a copy of this NOA to the Embassy along with your case number.
