    I filed I-130 for my husband last year Sept2007, all i got is a receipt#...

    I think there should be no worries i'm sure the service centers have their own brains...let' all just all be patient..just have lots of faith...I always hope for the best so I always think positive...I know that patience is always a virtue..

    I'm not upset, sad? yes.

    Happy for the left behind vsc filers? yes

    Sad that this may cause many other families to be seperated longer? you bet I am

    I'm just stating what others are thinking but dont dare say, I really hope this doesnt effect all of csc on a whole.

    I was moved. Late October 07 filer.

    Okay if you have your NOA1 receipt number this is what you do..

    go to this website:

    create an account and enter ur Receipt number...

    and then it should let you know whats going on with your case.

    NOyeah, i HAVE A similar case, they also just sent me the receipt#, there was no NOA1.... the receipt#is blurry too.I can hardly read the numbers.....My mother told me also a petitioner of I-130 before told me that sometimes others get only receipt# and no NOA1 and they just receive the NOA2-The Approval...Lets just cross our finger that our case works that way...Alot of cases are different than others.. :wacko:

    why my case number didn't work ? maybe they gave us wrong one ? plz help me iam new on this , so if someone want help plz feel free and good luck , god bless ya

    This is good news then..I have been crying and dreaming and thinking that I will have to wait so many years before I see my husband again.I filed I-130 for my husband las yr Sept2007and just received the receipt #jan2008

    there was no NOA1, just receipt#..with all vermont center slow processing I hope APPROVAL COMES i'll just be waiting for approval then..

    It's been a long time, I hope sacrifices are paying back rewards now!!!!!!! :star:

    I guess I should change my service centre here on VJ to California? What does that do to the timelines though? It's not as though it's been at California all this time so it doesn't really give a true processing time for people now at California or Vermont!

    :blush: that is sooo hard to hear that you filed Feb2007 last year and still no touch, well, we are on the same boat almost, I filed I-130 Last yr Sept2007. Still no hardcopy of NOA1. But I got a receipt#though. Sometimes I worry If my husband's petition will ever get approved. I called USCIS about information y they haven't sen NOA1, they said they couldn't find our name in their database. But I don't worry cuz I know that it has been processed the receipt # of the check. I don't know If I should do the Action of what the operator on the USCIS told me that I should resend a copy of I-130 along with a Request Letter, that way I they could send me the info I need..............But like my mother who is also a petitioner of her husband my father I-130 filer who got it approved after 3yrs of filing,...She told me to be patient...She told me that filing I-130 maximum really takes a while.. She told me that she also did not receive a NOA before but just received an approval.. That is why I have a very big hope and faith because I believe that my husband's approval will come soon.....

    I hope it happens to all of us that our petition will be approved...just be patient and have lots of faith.. :innocent:

    My last touch was on 2/26/08. almost six months now. any feb filers out there???

    I am a feb filler too... But sadly february of 2007... that is right i am sadly a whole year behind you guys... they have recently showed some touchs in my case and on August 1st sent out a RFE....

    Has anyone called or e-mailed the Vermont Service Center Yet? I am still waiting for NOA1 I filed I-130 for my husband las year Sept2007 all I got is a receipt# which was unclearly xerox copied sent to me..I hope that VSC listen to us..I miss my husband so much..

    Everyday, "CASE RECEIVED AND PENDING" that's all i see with the ancient touch 2/24.

    I'm sick, tired, and frustrated of theis USCIS/VSC. ALL SUCKS!!!! :angry::angry:

    reehon, i am sure because Jan and Feb filers are the earliest pending applications...you should look at the bright side, there have sprinkle of approvals from Feb recently and I am confident that they will have to turn things around soon for the US Citizens. Things must be winding down in terms of getting H1Bs and N-400's out of the way. The nat. applications approved now, probably won't be ready to vote for Nov election anymore, given that there is an interview and oath involved, which takes up to 3-4 months.

    trust me, i am suffering everyday and trying to be patient. Meanwhile, I keep on spending $$$ for traveling and calling cards. It's even tougher for Anu who quit her job thinking that her approval is probably around the corner!

    Biggest regret of my life: NOT filing K-1...who the hell would've known! She'd have been now.

    I know, I regret that too. I'm right there with you. But I really really hope that VSc start approving cause i'm going through hell right now. Whats the point of getting married if you still feel single?

    What does married mean? It means that staying with each other rather than apart. Stupid USCIS wont understand that!!!

    I'm just pissed off and frustrated. Right now, i can tackle anyone. I don't know but i'm running out of patience now>>>>>>>

    There is one Nepal case, a K-1 that was submitted 1 week after mine to VSC, it went from NOA1 to interview in 4 MONTHS..... They are now together and I haven't even had a touch since 2/24.... I probably will not get to see my husband for another 6-9 months... Tell me where is the fairness in that????

    tHAT IS True i actually know a person who have filed his K1visa for his fiance' and approved and his fiance' is here now in the u.s. I just dont understand because from what i recall, we filled our petition at the same time..and same date...I really miss my husband and its been 1 year since we filed our petition I-130. how come he is not here yet???That's unfair...Is our notice of Action lost in the mail??????come on VSC!

    actually, it is not really a problem as long as you have your marriage certificate or any document to prove that both names are one and the same person. also, if you notice in the immigration forms, they usually ask for "other names used".

    hey, i just want to ask a question for my husband, since I petitioned him for I-130,..i'm still using my last name, what if i have to send the Affidavit of support still with my maiden name..should I change my last name right away so It doesn't conflict with his upcoming interview in the future? (F)

    i'm so lonely right now, cuz' me n my husband filed our I-130 since last year Sept 2007, After we got married we processed our the petition of I-130 right away..I went home here in U.S. so I could file the affidavit of support like it says about K-3 visas. My husband is left in the philippines and it's really hard being far apart, I kept on thinking if I should have just waited there until approved but the problem is no NOA( Notice of Action) ...And its been a year now since we filed. No Notice of Action is received, but a receipt # has been received..I hope we don't wait for two years..how come K-1 visa just like my brother and his fiance are faster, They are here now in the U.S together and I believe me n my husband file our I-130 before them...How long should we Wait????

    hi, please help..I filed a I-130 for my husband still in the Philippines, I filed the petition last year and i'm just wondering how come I haven't gotten a NOA (Notice of Action)..Some people are so lucky because from what I've seen their petition didn't even take more than a year or even less..please help.what should I do, ????     hello,

    I'm worried, can anyone help me, I applied for I-130 petition for my husband still in the Philippines. I went back here to U.S. just this MAY and we have only been married for 1year. Although we filed our I-130 petition last year, I red the info in Uscis that a receipt # was suppose to be sent to me and along with a NOA(NOTICE OF ACTION)..Still, I haven't received the notice of Action..How will I know for sure that It has been filed..I mean the petition has been ongoing for about a year now and still no NOA. How long is a K3visa ?About how long should we wait not seeing each other?Would it take years?HOw many? Do I have to file the Affidavit of Support right away?
