The card came in yesterday IN A PLAIN ENVELOPE NOT A USCIS ENVELOPE...

Chinababe I guess you should get it today or tommrow.. WHEW.. Im DONE WITH INS not getting the citizenship anythime soon.....

approval on Jan 13th, touch on the 14th, received the approval notice on the 18th, haven't hear anything since.

BTW, the approval notice letter is not a gov't letter, it just a white with the notice type on it, and a signature on the bottom, the letter for me came from atlanta GA.

Did the letter with the GC card come on a USCIS offcial envelope or in a plain envelope ?

They actualy put the GC in a Visa or MasterCard offer envelope...Just to bug you a little more!

They had sent my 2 yr GC in a plain envelope not in a official envelope with USCIS or DHS written on it...fyi.. smartass

A couple of us were approved on January 13 2009 and I was the lucky few.

I just wanted to start a thread to see how long it take for the actual card

I got a LUD on the 13 and the 14. I recieved a letter from USCIS telling me my case is approved on the 16

Just wondering how long the card will take. If some chinabae and other who were approved around then can you plz update here once you get your GC.

jan 13 2009 : CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED

I just came back from India on sunday with a stamp and they sent me to the 2ndry inspection as they said that the stamp was of june 08 to june 09 and they need to check why its taking so long, I guess the imm officer at the JFK gates dont even know anything about VSC. it took them an hour but he stamped my custom sheet.

Whew No more no more issues... lol... so happpy...... !!!!

I dont think im going to apply for citizenship now as I will have to give up my indian citizenship.. well will think about the pro and cons about us citizenship later....

Hi, can anyone share your status?

Our I-751 was sent at the end of Jan 2008. Our service center is VSC.

On line status shows it was received on 02/05/08 and pending for approval. However since it was touched once after the biometrics on 03/13/08, it has not been touched or updated. VSC processing time on I-751 is now at 12/30/07.

Just wondering if anyone who has similar case time has got any update on your case? How many months more do we have to wait? Has anyone who submitted yours at the same time as we did but luckily got approved already?

Has anyone travelled to costa rica with his I-751 pending ? I am a citizen of India and their website says if you have a greencard valid for more than 6 months you dont need a visa.

I have my passport stamped which states my GC is valid till june 2009.

Anyone has any info on travel to costa rica or any issues they faced ?
