  1. of course they did. it's just like in 2000 when they prevented lots of legal voters from voting because their name "looked" like a felons name or they have "similar" birthdays. the republicans never change.

They had the same SSN too? I doubt you've voted in this country before because there's usually poll watchers from representatives from both parties at polls. Translation- Democrats are deaf and blind at polling places or don't report violations by the GOP. Even I don't believe that for a minute.

Democrats are usually the ones who want loose election day laws to encourage ballot box stuffing . . .I mean to increase turnout. Check out ACORN and lawsuits against voter ID to see how to help sway an election.

EXACTLY!!! EVERYTHING we're reading or seeing now by the media has a TWIST on it!!! Its tainted & not completely accurate.....OR BETTER STATED...ALWAYS preferential or "leaning" towards 1 "chosen" party! And, I think we know who that is!!!

  2. Seriously guys. He's talked to the embassy, been given a date to expect the Afidavit of support. I think they are "kool"

Boundries anyone? Perhaps the couple knows more about their relationship status than us, you think?

I think someone suggested to bring something showing that the docs are on their way.. good suggestion :)

    Take care and good Luck,

    Lisa

I agree Odai! Its my understanding from my lawyer, if you attend your interview & do NOT have all your papers, they will put in a paper advising you of what you need to provide for them in order to be approved. ALSO, AWESOME suggestion that you have Kristen write a letter & if possible, have it notarized & scan it or fax it to you stating that the AOS is in process & that you will receive it shortly. This way, you can show the officer that you are aware of ALL the documentation that you will be needing.

Lastly, have you completed your medical examination? Do you have your GID Police Certificate? Are all other requirements completed????

    Good Luck Odai!

  3. Hi Deb!

Sorry I just figured out how to respond to my topics! ha ha ha....

Anyway, my fiance' is from Busira, outside of Tafila. He's living in Amman now, though. We got our interview date for October 7th, 2008. I contacted the amman embassy via email (cuz they are much more expeditious & LIKELY to answer your requests that way). And, I sent the email only 5 days after my case was transferred from the NVC. So, they got back to me pretty quickly...within 1 or 2 days because of their "friday & saturday" holiday in Jordan.

Not sure whether K1 or K3 gets scheduled faster, it took from March 6th to July 31st for my case to reach the NVC & be approved & then transferred to Amman. Once Amman has it, they schedule everything pretty quickly! But, I put on another posting, even though they received our info on August 5th, his interview wasn't scheduled for 2 months because in Amman Embassy, they only do K1 and K3 visa appointments the 2nd week of every month. So, only a limited number of cases will get interview dates each month. Just an FYI, good luck with anything & let me know if you need any additional information!

    Take Care,

    Melinda

    Hi Melinda.....

Welcome to VJ....you will find this site is an valuable source of information and will help you tremendously as you go through the process....I don't know what I would have done without it, really. And the people here are really sweet.

I am out of Amman also....my husband is from just north of Irbid in Jordan. I was wondering when you got your interview date? I have a I-130 and K3 both complete and ready to schedule as of June 26 and still no interview date!!!!!!!!!!!!! The K1's get scheduled so much faster.....I don't know why.

Anyway...congratulations on your interview date....and let me know if you ever have any questions or just want to chat.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Deb :star:

LOVE this website! I've been on here a couple of months! But, I don't know how to add topics to my profile, like personal questions I have for people to answer, etc.

Its been very helpful & I've met a lot of people who are going through the same thing as my fiance' & I!

I am from Arizona & my fiance' is Jordanian! We filed our I 129F on March 6th, 2008 & were recently approved July 23, 2008. His interview is scheduled for October 7, 2008. We are both excited & nervous. Any input that anyone has on what we can expect from now until the interview....ie; about the medical exam, interview questions customary in Amman US Embassy, any additional paperwork that either my fiance' or I will need to acquire, Would be GREATLY appreciated!

    I wish all fellow K1'rs & K3'rs much Luck & MUCH love!

    God Bless!

  4. Hi,

The Amman Embassy ONLY does Interviews for K1 and K3 Visas the 2nd week of EVERY month! My I129F was forwarded to Amman Embassy on August 5th, 2008 & his interview is scheduled for October 7, 2008. So, they are running atleast 2 months out. Hope that helps!

    Hello,

I'm nearing the end (hopefully) of my CR1 (I-130) filed for my wife in Joran and was wondering how long it takes the NVC to set-up the interview date and roughly how far out is the interview date?

Has anyone out there recently been approved or interviewed by the Jordanian Consulate? Any info would be appreciated!

    Thanks!!

  5. My heart & my prayers go out to you! I'm very sorry for your loss & can't possibly fathom what you are feeling or going through. But, please go to family & friends for condolances. You need them & us all right now!

    (F)

We were married just over a month and I lost my best friend today. I do not even have the words right now. Please do not listen to any inaccurate reports coming from other sources ~ I am getting the information as it comes directly from his family. I will share more details as I see fit, but please allow me to speak for my husband. I do not want him disrespected any further :( I am in shock right now and I can't accept or believe the news that I received today !! He was 26 years old. God be with us and my husband (F)
  6. I'm neither a Muslim nor am I marrying anyone from a MENA nation, but I just thought I'd ask - female USC's with Muslim MENA beneficiaries, what prompted you personally to convert to Islam? Was it truly a decision you made prior to meeting your mate, or was it to ensure that your mate would be marrying a Muslim woman, or was it because the faith truly appealed to you? And if the latter, what was it about the faith that convinced you to adopt it?

This is totally not a sarcastic or rude question, but one of genuine curiosity.

Great question! I am marrying a muslim man, but I am a Christian of the Baptist denomination. He explains to me about his faith & beliefs, and I share with him as well. It seems a "personal" choice & decision that one makes to change/accept another religion. Just like, spirituality is in any religion!

    Just thought I'd share!

  8. I too have been accused of cheating! He says the same thing, in America its very easy! Here's the thing, I just keep reassuring him & it TRULY is the distance that makes the mind crazy & gets you/them to wondering & thinking! His question for me...ALL THE TIME IS... Why me? You have MANY men in America, why me? And, I know you have other man there in America!

Truly, that is just insecurity & distance. Here is a plan! Its true, you can't REALLY know a person until you have dated them & had some time to learn about their idiosyncracies, pet peeves, etc. When he comes here, you will have 3 months to get to know each other. You don't have to rush & get married immediately! That's why you are given 90 days, to make sure that this is the lifetime decision that you want to make! You've Come SO far already, K & have invested much time & energy, not to mention MONEY into this relationship! Its normal to have fear & be scared now that the end is in sight of this long fiasco, but I say....try things out! Keep getting to know him, day by day, and really get to know him when he comes here. Cuz truly, he is sacrificing alot to be with you & to love you! As, you are for him as well!

That's my thoughts! If there's more going on that you fear is a "non-negotiable" than I would advise you to think long & hard for the next 6 weeks, before his interview!

    Take care, sweetie!
