    My wife was given two originals of the passport office PCC. For the local police PCC she was only given one copy. The only way the local police would give another original PCC was if my wife went through another inquiry, which she did.

    Thanks for your input SP office in Udupi agreed to issue one more pcc my worry is if case is not complete by 26th feb at NVC which is my interview for K3 what should be my move take K3 or reschedule the interview suggestions appreciated

    So, our family friend stopped by VFS to pay the courier fees of Rs. 394. they accepted it, stamped the copy of passport, issued a receipt and took in the copy of the NVC letter showing that all required docs have been already submitted.

    very simple. We will take the medical report and relationship evidence in the interview.

    Hey my K3 visa interview scheduled on 26th Feb like most of us I too chose CR1 route AOS and IV Packege reached NVC on 9th feb meanwhile I submitted K3 documents At VFS they refused to accept certified copy of PCC from local SP original which I submitted in NVC My worry is if My case does not complete in another week what should I do cancel K3 INERVIEW OR ASK FOR ANOTHER ORIGINAL COPY OF pcc AND take K3 advise is greatly appreciated

    hello. Wait hatter:) i have given application for two PCC. And two more remains. Wanted to ask you that should i wait to get all Pcc? Or just submit DS230 part one with other documents. One more thing.. According to that guide line it take 6 TO 8 week before interview call.. So can you tell me still approx how much time it will take for interview call..

    My suggestion to you is dont submit the DS230 package if you dont have all the required documents because will get RFE and you end up waiting again. Let me give you my example, I submited my DS230 package without passport office pcc and now I got RFE(obiviusly) and I dont have my pcc yet so what happend is I end waiting about the sametime as if I were to submit all at once. So its totally your personally decision but this is my suggestion. Once your case is complete at NVC, they assign interview date on second week of everymonth for following month. I dont have exact time how long it will take for interview date to take place because most consulates are busier then others and it also depends on when your case is completed plays big role. My prediction is if your case is completed in feb then most likely you will get april interview date for sure. :thumbs:

    i will follow up on yr advice. the problem is i hv submited passport at passport office for clearance. they told me tht i'll get clearance and passport in post within two days. its not arrived yet. second thing i hv to get four clearances as i stayed at three different part of india since 16 ..since last four days i go for PCC and wait for 2 hours for sign on single documents..... lawyer says i'll hv to get all three clearances .. its goin to take 15 more days at least.. than my husband will submit all documents alongwith DS-230... also he'll submit i-864 too.. i think my case will finish in march and i'll come US finally in May :cry: ..my case is goin on speed of snail.. :star::star: . my indian consulate is in mumbai..

    I too stayed 5 different place in india after my age of 16. I have mailed and enquired about the same with chennai consulate. They says that I need to collect only two PCC 1. from the Local Police/Commissioner from the place where i am currently residing and 2. from the passport office where the passport was issued. Below is the exact reply i got from Chennai consulate..

    Police Clearance Certificate is required from (a) the local/district police serving your current area of residence ( b ) passport office which has issued your passport, assuming that your passport was issued more than six months back. We also assume that you have not stayed outside India.

    It was simple e-mail that said - 'We have an existing K3 interview date on Feb 11, 2009 and would like to use that date our completed CR1 case which is with the Mumbai Consulate. Please let us know if this is possible'

    I still have no reply from them. I think they are closed on Jan 14 due to Makar-shankranti.

    Thanks CJ for the information on the e-mail. I am hoping that my case completes this week and interview gets scheduled.

    The consulate didn't have off today but I think they take 24 to 48 hours to reply to e-mail. I hope you get a positive response from them. For your reference, consulate's holiday list is http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/holidays.html

    Wow! 20 days worth of holidays, I would like to work at Mumbai consulate. LOL

    Thouse who are going simultaneouusly for K3 and CR-1 did you submit original PCC at NVC ??? I have only one copy of Local PCC if we submit original at NVC wont it be a tricky situation at consulate

    i just called NVC, and they said they had just received my case and is now being put into the computers. and said i have to call back on monday for a case number ): this sucks.

    That's the standard reply. Call them again after 5:00pm or tomorrow. They should have the case number by then, if you go by the LingChe's guide.

    Thanx dude with your advice kept on calling they received my case and I GOT my NVC number for I-130 when I asked about 129F she said I can only talk about one case anyway she was pretty good.what should be my next move should I wait for two days or shouls i call them for DS3032 and one more query how do we know 129F received by consulate my case Madras.

    hello everyone!

    add me to this one as well (: i got approved on the Jan. 9th!

    and congrats to everyone else who has gotten approved. wish the best of luck to everyone!

    Help! Samir and I were so eager to get the NOA2 and now we feel like two fish out of water. I am scared and nervous about these next few procedures. When should I expect my NOA2 hard copy? When do I need to start calling NVC? How much time is on our hands to submit the documents? When do we submit the Affadavit of Support? I have a lawyer but he acts like he is waiting on the hard copy and then he will have us gather the information needed. I am really confused though as to what we are about to do. I have read the guides but I guess I am just nervous and still wondering if this approval was a dream. I guess when the lawyer gets my NOA2 it will finally kick in. But now I just feel like I need really good advice from you all. I think we are going with the K3 for now because that is what we had previously informed the lawyer. He is okay with us going either route, but not sure if we have to pay him extra money. I guess he will instruct us either way. I am scared he will slow us down but then again an RFE for a negligent action on our behalf will also slow us down. Therefore, if the lawyer can be sure all the documents are properly filled out we should be straight Insha'Allah/God's willing. Please pray for us everyone and we will do the same for you all.

    Do not worry; we are here to help each other. I was overwhelmed by the post-approval process (NVC as well as consulate) but "waithatter" helped me understand the process and pretty much calms things down.

    Now to answer your questions ...

    I received hard copy of NOA2 (130 and 129F ) on 10th Jan 09.

    To understand the NVC process, please use the LingChe's guide.

    PS: I have not hired lawyer for this process.

    Hang in there, it may happen when least expecting. Just forget about immigration for a few day and things might work itself out. We'll still be here, I'm also now stuck with getting paperwork from wifes side.

    No updates. Same old response of "allow upto 90 days".

    I'll see you guys (or may not, since all of you might already be done) when I have an update.

    Hi I am approved on 9th Jan , I wanto simultaneously percieve both Cr-1 and K3 , I have few doubts regarding PCC and birth certificate do we have to send original documents to NVC or the copy is sufficient .Kindly guide me through this NVC.

    CONGRATS CJ-V, hopefully you have done all the prep for NVC and will fly thru it, goodluck. This is definitely a great sign for those feb and march filers still waiting.

    :thumbs: Congrats Vasani like many others I was hoping for your approval ,I had the feling yours will be approved this week,rest of the process should be cake for you . I can understand the misery of seperation.

    I reckon that you'll be just okay...try to find out what you can do about your condition, so you can get/feel better. don't worry about the visa, you'll get it.

    Dude dont worry I am a surgeon in kmc Manipal ,dont worry about sarcoidosis its a autoimmune condition that requires treatment only when you r symptomatic as far as immigration is concerned this is not a hinderance as its not a contagious disease good luck for your interview dont worry toomuch

    going by NOA1 dates, Feb. has been completed with NOA2's.

    There have been some received for March and few in April and 1 in May.

    Again, going by NOA1 dates,

    there are 13 for March,

    6 for April and 12 for May yet needing their NOA2's

    Lets see what changes this week.

    Great work BIrch-Beer finally I got My NOA1 for My 129F on August 13 even more surprising is My I-129F fee is waived off hoping for some more miracles to happen soon
