  1. We have sent our I-485 (AOS) w/I-765 (EAD) & I-131 (Travel) and we got a notice for each on November 25, 2008. Now we waited for our biometrics appointments, and since we still haven't gotten one yet. Today is February 18, 2009, so it has almost been THREE MONTHS now that we haven't got our Biometrics. I called USCIS and they told us to wait until February 21 and we still havent got our biometric letter yet give them a call again. So I called today and then they tell me that I have to wait for 6 months and they are sorry for the wrong information given to us. I am really confused and lost! Just dont really know what to do, I feel so very Helppless! Im getting so lonely and depressed, I need to work as soon as possible.

    Please any advice!! Help please!

Thannk you very much VJ Family!

  2. Not sure why this was moved to the Russia forum as it doesn't really seem to matter about the country.

    Anyway...

Getting married and "hoping" it works out is a seriously risky strategy. What's the plan if it doesn't work out?

One thing you didn't mention...what are her thoughts? Does she want to try this marriage? Or does she just want to go home? Is language a big part of the issue, or are you able to talk to each other fine and just don't?

You have a lot of people telling you not to do it. But here's what I say: give it one more go. Pretend you are visiting her again, and that you are on a 2 week visit. Woo her, date her, make a serious effort to get to know her. If at the end of that time the magic still isn't there, I think the decision should be obvious.

But whatever you do, don't try to force something that isn't there. It's better to part as friends than to part with lawyers.

    Good luck.

    WELL SAID!!! I AGREE

  3. I have just mailed my AOS packet to Chicago Lockbox last week...

My question is that I have realized that I have not send any evidence or what is required with the I-765 & I-131...I was thinking that I didn't need to make another Photocopy of K-1 Passport (biographical page and K-1 Visa Page), valid I-94 Arrival/Departure record, I-797 Notice of Action Approval Notice of I-129F, birth certificate, and certified copy of marriage certificate.

... because since i am filing it with the I-485, they can look at the evidence from that.. Will that be ok? Will there be any problem? I couldn't sleep last night thinking about it that it will give us an RFE or denial which will make the process take longer...

Heres what I Filed thru my AOS:

    The package includes:

    - I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

    - The fee for I-485. Check made payable to US Department of Homeland Security on the amount of $1,010.

    - G-325A, Biographic Information

    - Two passport-type photos

    - I-864, Affidavit of Support

    - Supporting Documents for I-864: Tax Returns for 2005, 2006, and 2007. Bank statements & employment letter.

    - I-765, Application for Employment Authorization

    - I-131, Application for Travel Document

    - Photocopy of K-1 Passport (biographical page and K-1 Visa Page), valid I-94 Arrival/Departure record, I-797 Notice of Action Approval Notice of I-129F, birth certificate, and certified copy of marriage certificate.

    - The I-693 filled out by a Civil Surgeon

    - Photocopy Form DS-3025 Vaccination Documentation Worksheet

Is there something missing here? Will I Get An RFE? Please help? Thanks!

  5. Hi,

Princess passed her interview yesterday (pink slip only). She met other k1 fiance there but not from visajourney, and they were not prepared, or organized as she was, so they had to look and find the documents that were asked for and then some did not pay the document verification at least one month ahead of time so they got white slip. So we both THANK GOD and to all the VJ Member here who have helped us thru this journey. She had it easy as she was well prepared, and was lucky to have both nice pre-screener and colsul. They both ask very few questions. She had her interview at 7am and ended at 11:30am.

Now my question is, now that she has pink slip only and she lives in Manila, How long does anyone think it would take for her Visa to be delivered to her. Is this week possible for her to get the VISA? We are hoping that she had her flights next week.

Also, Once she receive her visa, Where does she go to take the CFO? DOes she go in CFO manila or PRISM to get the CFO?

Well anyway, it has been a long crazy journey at the beginning but it was all worth the wait as it has given us strength and patience in life.

    Thank you all again!

Good Luck and God Bless to all of us!!

  6. Yehey! She passed the Medical Exam! She had two shot on her left arm and one on the right arm. When she got home she felt the pain on her both arm and then started feeling the side effects of the vaccination. She felt a bit drowsy and is now having a fever. Is that normal? How long does it take to getting feeling better? or any thing to make her not feel the pain, maybe analgesics or just rest and sleep. Well were both happy that she passed the exam, as well to the others who took it. She met some of the VJ member here also, and they were all nice to her, she had fun! Anyway, one more thing to do, and thats Interview! Hopefully it will be no problem and quick! Yay!!

Tnx All! God Bless to all!! :innocent:

  7. Good Job! Happy & safe Trip!

May I Ask wats PDOS? is dat the same as CFO?

So you have to take the CFO after the interview is done and when you get your visa and passport back right so they can stamp it, am i correct?

    Tc now! God bless!

it means u passed the medical exam..

my mom completed my shots during my childhood..

so for my shots i was given MMR and HPV only..

it's kinda weird cos my mom told me i already have MMR..

i told the doctor but she said i need to get it..

oh well, u gotta do what u gotta do..

and yes, it is advisable to get the required shots that she can get in the philippines..

that is cos shots are expensive here in the US.. :(

and for your 2nd post, yes she needs it..

    god bless you! :)

  9. Hi,

My fiance is done with her 1st day of medical exam, now to 2nd day of medical exam. I hope she pass and nothing goes wrong on her 2nd day.

I was wondering, what do they do on 2nd day of medical exam? Is it just vaccination and results of your medical exam? Is it true that if you are given a vaccination and your x-ray results are good that means u pass? I read something here that some are given only three vacinations when i was reading the packet 4, there was a list of many vaccinations needed. What are the common vaccinations given to you? For the second shot of vaccinations, is that not included in the medical exam fee. So that means we pay again for another vacination shot. Is it preferable to take the 2nd vaccination shot in philippines or US? Sorry for the many questions, just curious about all this.

  12. hi!!!, to all my kababayans whose here in the USA, is it hard to get a job here? ilang buwan kayo bago makakuha ng trabaho? is it possible to look and found for a job after one month of staying here in the US? how long do you apply and got a job?

I wouldn't say its hard but you know everywhere you go theres competition and requirements to get a job you want...

but the good thing is that theres so many ways you can try to look for a job here..especially on the internet..theres a lot of searchable jobs where you can try to look for the type of job you would like and just apply to it as many as you can and just wait for someone's call for the interview..

and there is so many options of what type of job to choose from, you can work part-time, full-time, morning shift, afternoon shift, night shift, temporary, permanent, so many to choose from. So I say its easy to find one.

  13. Yakult! theres lots here in LA, u can find pretty much in an asian store and cheap too!

Yeah i tried them, its Good and its fun drinking them. It makes me feel like a kid again!

  14. i was thinking, how many papers do you think anyone can pass to that window, can a 100 page of papers fit that as a whole in one time?

do u have 100 page of papers to submit??? what are those documents?

No, no need to pass 100 pages  I just asked because my fiance was making an album full of photos and i was wondering if the photo album she is making would fit that window...

I gave her this little small photo album to give to the consular but she prefer making one, i mean with cut off pictures, stickers, decorations, captions, etc..i told her she dont need to do that but i can't argue if she wanted to do that instead.

  15. yah,i think you'll be ok base on what others are telling you..mine kasi is PAL so they have different rules..i have to have my husbands' copy of his credit card(back&front) with his signature in it,i also need to have his passport copy and then of course the e-ticket..

Im purchasing an e-ticket to PAL so i have to do all those stuff, A copy of credit cards w/signature and passport copy..Gee that sucks why PAL is different than other airport?

Oh well, tnx for the info but Yeah might as well do that just incase they do ask that.

  16. Well when I first visited PI, I took Korean Airlines roundtrip..So when i left PI, went to Korea airlines to stop over there, It's a nice airport, big and clean and very modern airport. The stewardes were very nice and all, they greeted you hello and goodbyes, but yeah sometimes i dont hear them well because they kinda speak low, food was ok, the seat was uncomfortable for me just because the person i was sitting next with was hogging the arm rest and the passenger behind me was very annoying kicking the seat a lot, and most annoying is the front seat of me who had to put his seat all the way back leaving me no space at all...huhu..it was so uncomfortable where i sitted, and then watching movies there was terrible, I probably the only one who experienced malfunctioning tv monitor cuz I dnt see any pictures but i hear them, so i tend to listen to the radio the whole time..

So yeah..I had visited PI twice with different airlines and I must say I'd like Cathay Pacific better than Korean airlines.
