Hi. It took 4 months before it (my petition) was reaffirmed from the time it left India. I did anything I could think of to get attention to my case. I both called & wrote letters to USCIS, Department of State, my state Senator, emailed the Embassy, and 'tried' calling the Embassy (no luck). I tried just about anything I could think of.

Finally! Interview was yesterday (Sept. 14th, 2010)- We were approved! Yay!!!!

It just means that your visa is on hold till you get your new one. So get it to them asap so that you can have that x-mas wedding!
