Guys I just have some question about the reqiurements on getting married. Me and my fiance are planning to get married sooner,

My questions are:

Do we need to get a SSN before we get married?

Well the main question is, What are the requirements to get married?

For all the worries and stress while waiting for my visa, I just kept my strong prayers and Visited "SENIOR SANTO NINO" patron of CEBU, every Friday and I went to the top of the hills (SIMALA, CEBU) where the place is very known for the Miraculous Image of Mother Mary.

"Faith" is the only thing I had while waiting for my visa. When you have faith you will not worry to much and you will have a peace of mind.

Its a long wait really, I had my interview on June 18, 2008, so its almost 2 months waiting. You are all right, and I am positive too that I will win in the waiting game! Im sure you guys here who got your visa know what I am feeling right now. The mix emotions that I couldn't explain, so so happY! I didnt even feel shy to go out on the street wearing my nighties with out sleepers because the delbros delivery man texted me and asked me where to go because he couldn't find my address. So I was standing on the hi-way waiting for the delivery man barefooted. I didnt mind the people around who were looking at me, well, I guess good for their EYES. after a few min waiting on the hi-way at last delbros delivery man :thumbs: he was so nice though, I had to give him tip for giving me further instructions on what to do, and for texting me.

I will be leaving CEBU next week! I will see my Mitchell soon!!!

For those who are still waiting, I advice you to follow-up the embassy and gather more information on what to do in a POLITE way. And please just relax and be patient, don't think too much because it wont help. "PRAYER" will help, so when you are sad about your waiting, just pray and have faith,be positive always. i wish i could call the embassy my fiancee had her interview with. They will not answer my call and forward me to voice mail every time. And my fiancee keeps telling me to keep calling them. I have a feeling they are screening their calls because when she calls someone answers immediately. This is highly irritating. Of course I'm not sure about the DV stuff because my fiancee is working in Saudi Arabia. If anyone gone through a US embassy other than the one in Manila for a Filipino citizen please let me know

Hi Chris I WISH I can help you, coz I know how it feels when things getting hard. Just try to gather more information here. Even if we get frustrated we still have to deal with the process. Try to be cool and have faith. Im sure we will win in this game.

I called USEM almost 2 weeks now, and I change my mailing address, and the customer representative told me that it will take a maximum of 2 weeks to change that address I gave her. Then I called again today Loyd (customer rep) answer me, I asked him about my visa situation, he just told me to wait and that my case is still in the CO. They didn't even change my address yet. So guess I will just have to wait, that is all I can do for now, I will just don't think that I will get it soon because the more I well expect the more I will get disappointed if I wont get it soon. Yes it is very sad but I have to be strong and keep my faith to God.

Please try calling USEM direct line: 011 632 301 2000 ext 5184 or 5185 (remove the 011 63 if calling within the Philippines) look for Lorraine or Grace. For others who had to change any info on their application: spelling of names, contact numbers, address, most has been asked to fax a letter to the Immigrant's Visa Unit.

The call center rep, though mostly accomodating than the USEM employees, they know nothing more than what is on thier script kaya better if you call USEM direct line and mas better if the petitioner will be the one to call.

Thank you so much friend!!! I just called the USEM! I made it!!!!well at least I did talk to Grace and she told me that they didn't receive my documents yet, I guess the delbros is delayed. And my address was ok because not too much to change on my address. I am still waiting though but at least I heard from them, thank you for the number that you gave me...it was a big help. Oh my God Its been 1 month from the date of my interview June 18, 2008, until now I don't have my visa yet. I am really sad, I text ed delbros and they said that they already forwarded my documents to the NSO for verification, until now I am still waiting. Any suggestion please? At least it might help me not to worry too much.

I called Grace just a few moments ago, and it appears that Anais will be headed to Texas soon.

Grace said the officer had completed the Document Verification, and the Visa is being prepared.

I will believe it once she has Visa in Hand, but I think we are near the end of the K1 Process.

I hope to have her in about 2 weeks.

Congratulations to you and Anais, Jack,! I wonder if you still remember me, Analisa? we met on the same day Anais had her interview, good for both of you that Anais visa is coming. Im still sad now coz I wonder what is going on with my documents vitrification. hi guys, i had my interview last July 9 and paid visa delivery afetr my interview but till now i havent had my visa yet...im getting worried here i read some of here had thier visa after 3 or 5 days. i alridy paid DELBROS last june 17....on my interview date we have lots of there who had the k-1 visa is this might be the delay of my visa? anyone who had thier interview last july 9 and had visa? im started sleepless night again ugh thinking about this visa.......

Hindi po kayo nag iisa maam. I had my interview on June 18,2008 it is more than a month until now I don't have my visa yet. So just try to relax and pray.
