Hi, we got divorce and been putting up some paper work together for me to file for lifting the conditions of my status, my greencard will be expire june 11, 2009, how long before you can file the papers to the immigration for self petition since I am divorce?

I download a forms on IRS website the request form to get a copy of the tax return with the check on it, I email it to them las week of august and until now the month of September is almost over the copy still did not come.

I called the IRS last wednesday and I spoke to one guy and he said that he will mail us a form of request and I will e-mail it back to them and in a few weeks I can get the copy.

How long does it take to get an IRS copy from the time you mailed the form of request to the IRS?

Hi i am divorce and now I am on trying to remove the conditions of my greencard, My greencard will be expire on June 23, 2009 and our divorce is already final, I only have the following papers with me to prove that we marry in good faith:

1. Photos of us together.

2. Credit cards with my name on it or married name.

3. Holiday cards that was sent to us by the family members.

4. junk e-mails to prove that we stay in one house.

5. Bank statements ( in philippines here I just open one with marrien name on it)

6. Divorce final paper.

7. My greencard

8. Drivers license.

9. My SSN no.

10. Affidavit from friends.

Do you think it will effect me and the immigration will not accept my petition if I have no tax returns of us together because my ex-husband is not giving it to me, he just so very mad, he said he will file a lawsuit to me if I touch his Tax return and he never put my name on his house. do you think those documents is enough.

Hi sorry for disturbing hope anybody here can reply any of my questions, since my husband and I is already divorce I am a little confused on filling up the papers on I-751 what name should I put there my single name before or my married name to him since we are divorced?

Is anybody here know or have any example of the cover letter for self-petition?

Hope anybody can tell me if the following documents is enough evidence to proved that we marry in good faith.

1. Copies of the passports and my green cards.

2. Three sworn affidavits by U.S. citizen friends, attesting to our relationship and marriage.

3. A partial copy of our 2007 joint US tax return.

4. Holiday or Greetings cards from the member of the family and friends.

5. 14 pages Photos of us together.

6. Copies of my credit cards and statement with married name on it and a copies of his credit cards and with statements on it. ( American Express, Master Cards, Discover Card and Sams Card).

7. Joint bank accounts in Philippines.

8. Our marriage License

9. Copies of our final divorce decree and SSS no.

10. My driver's license

I am filling up the form I-175 to remove the conditions and I started gathering paper work now for all the evidence that we marry in good faith, I am so confused about filling up the form on the first which name am I going to use since I am already divorce from my husband am I going to put their my single name or my married name.

And also on the bank accounts we have no banks account together, I have 3 different kinds of credit cards the master card, american express and discover card with my married name on it, i am very confused about this also, my credit card is separate to him and I have my own statement but on the name of my credit card is in my married name to him, do I need his credit card statement to include on my pocket or just my credit card statement. please help, I am really confused.

And now while I am gathering my documents I noticed that my passport was gone I try to find it all over but I could not really find it, I ask him but he dont know also, what I should do to get another passport? help anybody can help me.

How many affidavits do I need from other people to proved that we stay together in one house since my name is not on his house even on the utility bills or electric bills or phone bills, he said he will make also an affidavit for me and it will help a lot better to proved that we maaried in good faith? do you think his affidavit is very necessary and the immigration will approved it.

Hi this is me again, Our divorce just final a few days ago, and I been collecting some documents now for lifting of my status, and I have only the following documents, 1 year tax return ( both in our name ), 3 credit cards statement in my name with married name on it, Drivers license, Divorce decree, 14 pages of photos of us together and Holiday cards that was sent to us by the member of the family, I am not on his house name his planning to put it but we are already divorce even on the utility bills and electric bills my name was not there either.

My ex-husband said that he will help me to get my citizenship and through this he said all he can do is to make an affidavit notirize by him that we married in good faith and we stay together in a one house, and he can ask also some of his employee like his secretary to make an affidavit saying that we stay in a one house. Do you think it will help if he make an affidavit?

Hope everybody here can help me what other else I can do, Is it enough evidence that we stayed together and married in good faith or not yet? what else I can do?

Hi it is me again thank you for all of your responce here, I really appreciate it, one more thing I would like to ask from you, since the divorce is already in the court and we may go to court next week for the final of divorce. I still live with my husband in the same house but in different room, He don't want to let me go because his reason is that eventhough we are divorce but he is still responsible for me atleast 3 years according to the immigration, he is very scared that something might happened to me outside and he will pay for my accident thats why he is not letting me go, why should I do?

Hi I am here again we will be in the court next week for the final of our divorce and my greencard will be expire next year june 12, 2009, and I am really very nervous going there, my husband and I has no children and we sign the papers and both agreed of everything on what we settled, what kind of papers do I need to bring their with me? is the court will deport me after it finalized? what am I going to do for myself to be there? hope anybody can help me urgently please.

My name is not on his house yet here in America and even on his utility bills or water bills and I am not sure he is going to put my name their anymore since now that we are having a divorce.

But the house in Philippines was in my name and him I have a big part of it because foreigner cannot own anything in Philippines and the light bill and the water bill there is on my name in my married name with him, Can I use it to prove that we marry in good faith even if my name is not on his house, utility bills or water bills in America? hope anybody can help.

Hi, I am just new on this site, My husband and I is been having a difficulty on marriage so we both decided to end this relationship since it really wont work out anymore when I was with him I am the one ask a divorce from him because I cannot take it anymore with him having no freedom and verbal abuse. And about 5 years ago I meet an American and we have a relationship on that time but our communication was cut off because of the people around us and thought he is not coming back into my life forever and I decided to move with my life and just look for someone else and which is my husband now who are verbally abusing me counting every nickle he spent for me and all kind of things about my family. And anyway until I come here to america and my first american boyfriend find it out that I am here and he is still single and after 5 years he still love me and the same also with me I did not realize that I still have love for him after all those years, We start talking last December 2007 and I am still on temporary greencard and it will be expire next year June 14, 2009, My husband find out that I talk to this man, he find it out and about for a couple of weeks the divorce will be final and he filed to the immigration to withdraw his petition for me as a person who are responsible for me while I am in America and he included their all the documents about me and this guy's conversation, I talk to him so that I have somebody to listen all the pain while I have no freedom with him everything is in control I cannot almost breath and verbally hurting me, Am I going to be deported back to Philippines for this? If I get deported can I still come back to the United States? Is their still a chance for me to stay in America eventhough we are divorce and he withdraw his petition for me? Can I go to the other guy since we are divorce? Am I going to be in prison for talking other the other guy while I am still married with him? Hope anybody can help me here. Thank you.
