    We received my Greencard today  As well as the welcome letter. It was approved on my birthday (Mar 04) :) Btw, my receipt no. didnt work online at all, so no email notification for us. Finally done with uscis for awhile. we're so happy.Thanks for giving me the courage to do the filing all by ourselves. You guys saved me from giving my lawyer $2500 to do it for me. what a ripped off 

    Im sorry for those who recvd rfes. Here's what we sent,

    copies of the ff: my temp greencard, Apt lease both

    previous and current, car title, 2 car registrations, Bank

    statements for the last 3 months for our joint checking &

    savings acct, copies of 3 of our credit cards, Auto loan, Life insurance, car insurance, dental insurance, tax returns for 08 & 09. Goodluck!!!

    I sent our package last friday 11/12/10 via usps priority mail & certified mail. Now I checked the usps and tried to track it and now it says, they tried to deliver it @9 am SATURDAY 11/13/10 and they left a notice. now im worried that they will not get it on time. gc expires 12/03/10. what do i do??? are they going to attempt to redeliver it or they will just wait for the csc to pick it up?? :( should i call usps to tell them to redeliver it?or should i wait until monday afternoon to see if they will deliver it again. this is so stressful.

    I interpret the instructions as suggesting affidavits as an example only. I am not planning on sending any either, just concentrating on financial evidence.

    I think im almost ready to be done with all the paper stuffs I need to send. questions again im sorry.

    1. is it okay to put everything in a three ring binder and put the paper stuffs in a three hole plastic sheets and use dividers and send it to them?

    2. Do I need to have a cover letter???

    3.is it still $545 for the filing fee?

    4. I live in los angeles. so do I send it @ LAGUNA NIGUEL OFFICE?

    First off, breathe!

    Second, since you have the form already printed off, start filling it out.

    What you need to include with the form:

    -copy of both the front and back of your green card

    -evidence of the relationship (this can include lease/mortgage in both your names, joint financial accounts, pictures, affidavits, etc)

    If you've ever been arrested, you're going to need to include statements and criminal records and such.

    You also need to include a check of $545 for the filing and biometric fee.

    And then mail it all off.

    Thank you for the reply. I printeD the instructions on how to file it from this website and one from the uscis web.have a lot of questions though

    1. Do I need to have 2 PASSPORT photos?

    2. Do I have to have the fingerprint card?

    3. Do I file all the paperworks in a folder?

    4. Are these evidence enough?

    a. i do have our apt lease for the past year and current one.

    b. 2 joint checking accounts

    c. 2 savings account

    d. 2 credit cards

    e. a vehicle loan together

    f. car insurance

    g. one car title both of us own it.

    h. life insurance

    i. tax returns for the past 2years.

    j. pictures

    5. Do I need to send a copy of my passport?

    6. Do I need to have affidavits from other people?

    so much questions. I'm sorry.

    conditional card will expire on dec. 3 2010. We cant afford to pay our lawyer to file this for us. I have no idea how to do this. please help me how and where to start. I'm on maternity leave right now for preterm labor, so I'm thinking maybe i can start this. anyone please. for starter, i Printed out the form for I 751 @ kinkos yesterday. I Apologize in advance for this. I just dont want to mess this up. We're expecting our first baby this nov. and im afraid i wont be able to do this right. thank you!!!!

    On December 5, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

    Thank you all very much for your support. We are done with USCIS until lifting conditions for another within 2 years.

    we had our interview today this morning in los angeles @ 1045 AM. the IO was nice..interview took 5 MINS. he said we're approved BUT STILL WAITING FOR THE BACKGROUND CHECK??? HMMM....anyway, we're just thankful..that interview's OVER..HEHE.. :innocent:

    Congrats!! Did the IO give you letter after interview? It says your application is approved something like then wait for GC to be mail...

    ah nope he didn't give us anything.. after he's through with me & my husband, he asked both of us to go back to the waiting room cuz HE NEEDS TO SpeaK WITH OUR LAWyer PrivaTELY ...so he baSICAlly told my lawYER THAt he's JUSt waITING FOR THE BACKGROUND CHECK BUT OTHERWISE WE'RE APproved...& thaT HE'LL LET OUR LAWyer know BOUT IT by 5 todaY..LOL..IT WAS weird.. :whistle: I DONT GET IT..SIGGGGHHH

    HMMM...it's nicollete here...PRETTY QUIET IN HERE HUH??!!! anyway..just want to update you guys about my case. We just got back from our interview TODAY in LA, CA. OUR APPT was @ 1030 am & we got there At 1045 am (can't find parking!!!) we had to walk 4 blocks with my 3 inch stilletos.. :crying: I was whining about it the entire time on our way to the feDeral building so, it kinda diverted my attention to it..& didn't worry much bout the interview. my advice? BE there early so that you caN get a SPOT across the street. The line & the wait to get in to the building was ok.we headed up to the 8th floor, gave the NOTICE to the guard then met up with our lawyer in the waiting room..she said it was the first time that her clients came later than she did & that we look so confident..(haha, it was more of the PAIN that i was feeling rather than nervousness)so we sat down & wait. @ 11:15 they called my name & WE met our IO. He was OK..we followed him to his office then asked us to take d oath then we sat down.he first started to ask, how long we have been married then I answered ONE YEAR ON JAN 2009.then he explained the conditional green card. then he asked if we still live in the Add that he had on his file. MY husband answered NO, then the IO asked if we still hav relatives that reside in the old add. my husband said YES.so the IO said then it will b ok to send the green card to that addreSS.then the IO asked me the yes/no questions. then he asked if we hav any kids.we said not yet. THEN the IO said the only thing that concerns him was my medical..I was positive for the ppd skin test BUT NEGATIVE IN Xray rESULTS.then he said but that was okaY..then he started talking about us using 2 co-sponsors(MY HUSBAND'S PARENTS) HE asked my husband why..then my husband explained that he used to WORk 2 days a week IN DEC 2007 then he staRTED to work as full time @ HiS job jan of this yr.IO asked how much he was making now..then I gave my husband's paY stubs & employment letter to the IO. then he asked my husband if he ever met my parents then he saId yEs then asked him my mom's NAME.. then hE asked him IF he knows my birth date, THEN My husband said YES..then told him (LOL!! my husband isn't really good with dates but he did good in remembering it today).. then he aSKed for baNK ACCOUNTS..CAR INSURAnce..so i gave HIM a copy of our creDit caRD( i was an authorized sIGNER for it) mOnthly staTements for our joint checking & sAVINGS..He made a COMMENT abOUT how wE HAd our aCCOUNTS IN WAMU...then i gaVE HIM a bill for our directv(jusT 1 BILL FOR THAt bcuz wE JUSt moved in oct 1) gaVE HIM the car insurance monthly staTEMENT, THE TITLE OF OUR caR( MY HUSBAND ADDED ME AS an owner) while i was TAKing All the copies from My foldER the IO TOLD us to go back to the waITING room that he needs TO speaK to our laWYER privaTELy...HMMMM...but before we leave i asked the IO if he wanTS a copy of our aPT LEAse. he saiD NO, SO we went bck to the waiting room. 2 mins later my lawyer caME OUT.. THEN told us that we were approved BUT...(there'S the BIG BUT) sTILL waITING for the background CHEcK...HMMM....sO WE WERE LIKE..OH OK..then my lawYER told US THat it waS the first TIME thaT AN IO wanTEd TO SPeaK TO THE LAWyer privately...but she said THE IO was nice..we got lucky!!!!INTERVIEW took abOUT 5 MINS..that'S IT..and yea, THE IO TOLD OUR LwYER thaT he will let her know by 5 PM today... :star: he didNT EVEn asK for our pictureS..BUT that's OK..atleast MY HUSBAND & I can relax NOW..JUST NEED TO Wait i guess.... :devil:
