We received the letter telling us that indeed our request was approved (welcome letter) a few days after the interview. Monday we received her green card!

Me and my wife had our interview last week and were recommended for approval. The interview went much easier than I expected. I have been VERY nervous about it for a long time. It's hard to have your future plans in the hands of someone else as I'm sure you all know!
The woman who interviewed us was very nice. She asked mainly questions about addresses, parents last names, birth places etc. She didn't want to see letters I had some friends write. She did look at photos we brought and those seemed to help our cause alot. She asked when we met, if we had visited each other often. Then she told us that we should be fine and to watch for the green card in the mail. She then handed us a recommendation for approval letter.
A little background on us... we met a couple years ago. Got married in late June of last year in the US and sent our packet in late November.
Everyone had been telling me not to worry since we had gotten married for all the right reasons and were trying to do things the right way. I knew that was true but its still nerve racking.

Well, entering the US isn't the problem. She crosses the border a few times a week. Usually they ask where she is going, but rarely do they ask what for or for how long etc. Sometimes they just look at her visa and tell her to pass.
Do you feel that the K3 route is a more reliable route for our situation?
thanks

Well she is still in Mexico but we are now married, and wants to come live with me. She has her tourist visa and I either visit her or she visits me on the weekends. Our plan is that she just stay and file the necessary papers to start the AOS process. I'm not sure if this is the best route, or if a K3 visa and her living in MX until then, is a better way to go.
You will be on shaky ground... Since entry will have occurred after then marriage. Beware! What you are proposing will at best be bordering visa fraud as I understand it.
Thats what I'm really afraid of, and wondering if we should go the K3 route just to avoid them thinking its a fraud.
I need to add, that we were married in the USA if that makes a difference.
The people at the document preparer assure me that we can even wait a few months till we file the I-485. Its only been 3 weeks since we were married. Will it still run that risk if we file the papers asap, even though she returned to MX after the wedding?
I am wanting to file them ASAP if we go this route. My wife is wanting to wait a few months so she can take care of some loose ends before she moves. I'm scared the longer we wait the more risk we have of being denied. I'm a little confused of what to do.

A little background. I just married my wife here in Arizona, she is a Mexican citizen with a tourist visa to enter the US. I'm an American.
We decided that she will come live here and immediately file for the AOS.
After some research online, and I also found a place locally that helps with preparing the documents to file an AOS. They are telling me that this is the easiest and fastest way for her to get her visa to live here legally and get permission to work etc.
They are claiming it only takes 2-4 months once we file all the papers for the AOS until a final interview. They also said it would only be around 2 months until she can legally work here in the US. I'm a bit skeptical. Does that sound possible?

We were married in the US, but she has gone back home to work etc. Her home town is only like 50 miles from where i live in AZ. She's had her tourist visa for a long time so it wasn't her intent to marry using that visa. It's only been a couple weeks since we were married.
IS this the best way to go about it for us?

My wife is a Mexican citizen with a tourist visa to enter the US. I'm an American and live in Arizona.
I went to a service that is supposed to help with immigration and they told me I can do either the K-3 or an I-485 adjustment, since my wife already has a tourist visa. They said with the I-485 she can't leave the USA while they are processing this. They said it only takes like 4 months total and that she will be able to work after the interview. They seem legit.
Also they told me with this option we won't have to go to an interview in Mexico, but instead to Phoenix, AZ.
I was surprised because I had not seen this option online. Is this true what they told me? IS this the fastest way to go for me? It sounds great if its true.
thanks

I was just wondering if I (American Citizen) need to have any immunizations myself? Will I need any exam or just my wife?
What immunizations will she need? What medical conditions are they looking for?
We don't have any health problems as far as I know. I don't have ANY of my immunizations though. My parent's didn't believe in them.
thanks

Thanks.
Ya, I realize it's a slow process usually. Sounds like the K3 may be our best option. If anyone else knows any more info regarding mexico, I'd appreciate it.

What is important to you... Cost, speed, ability for her to work, else?.. Once you make the list then it might be obvious which one best suits your need.
Her current possesion of a tourist visa or where you wed has absolutely no bearing on anything (easier or difficult), (slow or quick), (approved or denied)
Well, I guess to me speed is the most important. She does want to work eventually but I'm more worried about her moving here soon. Cost, again... I wouldn't mind spending money on a lawyer (or whatever) if thats going to insure we do things correctly and if it speeds things along.

Hi, I'm new to all of this, and new to this forum.
Me and my wife were just married a few days ago. We dated for a couple years. She is from mexico, and I'm a US citizen and live in Arizona. She currently lives and works in Mexico. She has a tourist visa which allows her to enter the US, so we were married here in the US.
What is our best option? We want her to come live with me in the US legally. K3? CR-1? and why?
Is the process any easier since she has a tourist visa? or that we were wed in the US?
ANy help on this is very appreciated. thanks

We are getting ready to send our packet. I'm nervous, but also anxious to get the conditions removed from my wife's visa.
