  1. A. How close to the actual date of your interview does the date on your letter of intent need to be?

    B. Does it need to be notarized? I've seen forums where people say it needs to be and others where they say it's not necessary.

    Thank you for your help!

Ours was dated probably that same month (or the before) since I attended the interview. I suggest making it as close as you can, it does not need to be notarized. The only document that needs a notary stamp is the I-134.

Thank you to you all, you are very helpful!

  2. Is it for London? Five weeks ago is how far from the interview? Do you have one? It would be great if you made a timeline so we knew where you are in the process. You don't have to use real names. Ben & Jerry, Pooh and Piglet, etc. would work. No, to the notarized letter. And review the bottom part of the guide page that talks about after NOA2 http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide for some good information and suggestions.

We have our NOA2, he already had his medical and he sent in his checklist two weeks ago. We are applying for a K-1 visa and he is going to interview at the embassy in London :)

As for the interview I called DOS yesterday and they said they had scheduled an interview for July 23rd..(this was after they said that the checklist was missing a day earlier, but oh well..all is well that ends well I guess!) I think my letter of intent was dated for June 16th 2008 when I originally sent it.

I will start a timeline, definitely a newbie on the board though I have lurked for awhile ;)

  3. Okay, one last question!! LOL I sent my fiance a letter of intent about five weeks ago. Do I need to send him one closer to his interview date? Also does it need to be notarized? He needs one as well, correct?

  4. Two photographs needed!

Thank you, I will pass it on!

For the medical they are happy to take UK size photos.....I offered them the choice and they took UK size

Thank you :) It likes we are pretty close to ready then :)

I believe they say 3 as you need 2 for the interview and 1 for the medical.

    Stu

That makes sense :) Thank you!

  5. Hey all,

My fiance had a question, at the London embassy does it require two or three photographs? According the website for K-1 it requires 3, but in his paperwork it says 2...was this a recent change in policy?

    Thank you for your help?

  6. well then, here's a scan of London's K-1 packet 3, you can just print the checklist, and send it in.

Don't worry that it's obvious that it's lower resolution, lots of people have needed to print that, and it's worked out fine. :star:

Thank you so much! I really apreciate it! :)

    Hi Rbm,

I think this is the one you need as it requires signature at the bottom...It is slightly different from what I remembered filing it.....as no boxes next to items to indicate you have them

Thank you, I really apreciate how sweet and helpful you all are :)

  7. Currently we are waiting for out packet 4 to arrive. My fiancee has everything he needs for the interview and 2 weeks ago he sent the checklist IV-15 to the embassy. He sent it via Royal Mail with signature confirmation upon arrival, as of now it has yet to show up as arrived. He called the visa helpline yesterday, they told him there was nothing they could do to confirm it's arrival and that it's an issue with Royal mail..so they instructed him to go to website, download the IV-15 and resend it.

We have been looking all over the London embassy website and we can't seem to find the correct form! Could anyone help us find where on the embassy website it is located or could they send us a copy of it?

Thank you SO much for your help :) It's all rather frustrating!
