  1. after the full medical fiasco at the interview... received an email from CRIS- card production ordered.

i still can't believe it... i hope its not a mistake.

anyhow, best of luck to everyone waiting for an interview..but just to be safe please get a full medical, especially if you are doing AOS after k-3

    Congrats!!!!

I was also thinking about having my hubby take a full medical prior to the AOS interview just in case. He was under the 1 year mark when we filed AOS but it expired April of this year.

Just thought i share the good news with you all. We had our intervienw today and got approved with a stamp right there! The whole interview was less than 10 mins. We had a bunch of evidence like everybody else but we didnt use most of it. The lady who interviewed us took our lease, bank statements and a photo from our album thats it. Thanks everybody, this forum has been very helpful now i will need to wait for another 2 yrs and do it all over again

    Wohoooo Congrats!

I just received an email today "Card production ordered" Thanks everyone. I wish everyone goodluck. For the longest time i didnt have any touches on my application but obviously my file was moving along fine.

  3. Our wedding was just us, the minister, and the photographer; so we do have an album from the wedding, but no guests involved. Also, since my husband works all the time, we don't really socialize a lot, so didn't have tons of photos of us doing things - which concerned me. So, what I did was take the various things we had and made a sort of scrapbook of our relationship: I printed out a few of the emails hubby had sent me (which showed the date), some greeting cards we had sent to each other, as well as wedding and Christmas cards that we received from family and friends that were addressed to the both of us at the same place...... and made prominent anything that showed sentiment such as "We are so happy for the two of you - welcome to the family!". Also included tickets to concerts, NASCAR races (with photos, even though we weren't in them!), hotel and restaurant receipts from our anniversary weekend trip, etc etc.

Even if you don't have a lot of pictures, I would recommend taking some time to organize what you DO have into some kind of album that makes it easy for the officer to see that you went through a *normal* courtship and have a *normal* relationship. Instead of just handing him/her a stack of photos, make little notes in the album; ie: "First time (hubby) came to visit me" or "The dogs love their new Daddy!" or "Tailgating at the Buffett concert in 100* heat... FINS UP!!" Regarding the emails, you can actually open them up in an editor so that you can remove any *personal* info that you don't want to share. I did that, then cut them out arranged them in chronological order - showing that we went from "Hi, I'd really like to get to know you better" to "You are such a special person..... I'm so glad I met you." to "I miss you so much, can't wait to be with you again". At the top of the page, I wrote "How our Story Began......" The officer did breeze over them, and oohed and aahhed, and I just blushed and said "I know, I'm such a girl!"

I guess my point is this: although there are certain documents that you MUST provide, when it comes to pictures and things that document your marriage, you can be pretty creative. Not everyone has a traditional, big wedding. But everyone has a story to tell, and if you make the effort to put your story in a format that the officer can grasp in a few minutes, then that will really help. We had maybe a dozen photos - maybe. But she was definitely impressed that I had gone to all that effort..... and she genuinely enjoyed flipping through the scrapbook (one of her comments was "Wow! You guys got a LOT of cards!!) I'd be more than happy to give you specifics of how I organized the book - just ask!

Best of luck to you; don't panic - just prepare ahead of time and all will go smoothy!

  4. Hi, guys...

Well, since I received work authorization, no news at all....No letters, no touches, nothing...

Things are not going quite well between us two, so I am not even sure if we would make it for the interview, but I still do not enjoy hanging like this...

Although, I went through our chart, and seems like a bunch of people do not even have their interview letters yet, right? How do you think, maybe I should get an info pass?

No touches on my paperwork after AP / EAD either. My lawyer advised me that all I could do is to wait for the interview notice. He is of the opinion that my interview might not be until September. He also didn't believe that an Infopass appointment would yield any specific information. I plan to wait until the end of July and if I don't see any movement will make an Infopass appointment anyway.

I never received any touches AOS application since March but I received the interview notice for Aug. I did had touches on AP and EAD prior to their approval. Just hang in their you will receive the letter soon!
