Did anyone's case transferred to Lincoln,NE? My case status says case transferred to Lincoln NE for faster processing. Do anyone know anything about it or what it means? Not sure if it's not a black hole.

Well, I wish i had an interview. But what i don't understand is that i live in CA and i filed at NBC Chicago office, from there it was sent to my local office in CA then now it is transferred to NE. I would think interview would be in CA. This is just a maze.

My receipt date for I-485 is Mar 28/20008. ANd so late in the process it's been transferred. Not sure what to make of it.

I'm still just as confused about the situation, BUT, I did send the evidence right away to my senator guy who called me to tell me he forwarded it to the national benefits center right away. He also said he sent an email explaining that I had no idea an RFE existed and if I had then we would have responded right away. Also, that I wouldn't have been making all of these inquiries into my case if I had known there was one, it just proves that I was clueless about it.
I also emailed the lawyer to ask him what his deal was and he emailed me back within the hour to tell me that he had never received anything and had no idea what I was talking about. I dont know what to think but i'm actually inclined to believe him since he also said he checked my case statues and nothing mentioned an RFE.
This is like a whirlwind of mis-information. Someone is at fault I just dont know who.
This souds horrible. They just harass immigrants. And nothing can be done against them. Whole thing is stupidity just sheer stupidity. My EAD card was lost mysteriously in mail and i re-applied with full fees. And i was told that even green card gets mysteriously lost in mail and people have to re-apply everything if that happens. Unbelievable. The reason given was that because people can sell the card as soon as they get it and just ask for duplicate. So they make em re-apply. Then why don't they send cards in priority mails? They charge so much money and they can chargs extra for priority mail as well.

Received AP in 3 days but no EAD yet. I called them after 30 days of approval notice sent and put up a Service Request. Guess what, they said they did not receive it back as undelivered and hence consider it lost in mail. And so, i have to reapply my EAD again with all the associated fees.
You guys should be happy that you got your EAD's and can work. I am in no man's land and back to square one. When i read people fretting about noting having touches on their AOS (who already got their EAD's) it makes me even more sad. So, cheer and be happy that atleast you guys have EAD. Why worry about AOS if you have EAD and are working. I haven't had income for 6 months now.
Maybe you don't realize that having your EAD does not a guarantee the ability to get a job. Yes, my husband has his EAD, however the kind of job and companies that my husband is trying to get a job with want to make sure he has his AOS before they spend time and money on hiring/training. I guess if he wanted to work fast-food or retail, it may not be a problem, but not every company will hire you because you have a SS card and EAD.
I'm sorry you're in the situation of possibly having to refile. I think I'd call my local politician and get some assistance before I paid all over again. Some here on vj have found that route to be very beneficial. I understand your frustration, but realize that most people get frustrated and that's a reason some of us are here..to support one another. This site is a place where we can vent as well as celebrate, where everyone understands what we're going through. I'm frustrated just like you and many others. I filed before you, never got a RFE, never requested an "expedite" (why was that necessary btw?) and of course like others, have nothing on the AOS.
Another suggestion for you would be to call USCIS and use the RFE line to speak to a supervisor, not the person that answers. Although it's difficult to reach one at times, I found that helpful when after receiving my NOA2 last year, they lost our paperwork. Good luck to you and keep us posted on how things are going.
I thought that having an EAD is all you need to get a job you wanted. Sorry, if message above irritated you. Good luck to your husband on his job. Yes, i did talk to one supevisor at USCIS and nothing came out of that. I also faxed and wrote a letter to local congressman but they never bothered to reply or respond. Anyway, goodluck to all you guys. I won't post or share my thoughts here anymore.

2)If you got EAD card in mail then what type of envelope was it? Was it from USCIS or was is it a plin white envelope from KY.
3)Same for APproval notice (if it is different then actual physical card), what envelope was it in?
I got EAD approval notice sent e-mail and card production ordered e-mails but never received anything in mail (EAD card or EAD approval notice). It's been more than 30 days and when i called USCIS then they said it's a lost mail because they never received it back from post office as undelivered and hence i have to reapply the whole EAD again????????

Sammy, I hope you get your EAD soon, hang in there.
I wanted to ask you how did you submit the expedite service request, was it a form? how did you go about doing that? Do you think you received the notificaiton that the EAD card was ordered as a result of that or because it was high time you received the EAD anyway?

If it's more than 75 days since you filed your EAD then you can USCIS and ask them to open a Service Request to expedite your case. They ask you for the reason. THen they do it on youyr behalf over the phone. Well, about the other question i am not sure what trigggered my EAD card ordered status. It was about time and also it happened right after i put up a SR. Not sure. I still didn't get my EAD in mail. So, i would advice not to put a SR as it may have irritated them but then who knows?

I don't want to be negative. I hope you get it in mail soon. It takes up to 11 days after card production to get in mail. However, yes i did experience the dreaded thing. I never moved from my address. I received each and every single paper from USCIS in mail and all the other mails. But guess what i never got my EAD in mail. And after repeated calls to USCIS, i was told to wait 30 days before they can do anything about it. Then after 30 days they told me its considered lost in mail and so i need to re-apply!!!! I re-applied with full fee and then they approved it after another 2 and half months. ANd the fuckest thing wasa that when i got the new EAD card the validity date on it was from the first time when it was approved. So basically i was deprived of work for almost 4 months that my EAD was valid. I hope no one has to go through the ordeal that i went through to get my EAD.
