i got package 2 and now im ready for affidavit and medical exam

and my wife in america and we will have a joint sponsor

i have a stupid question and iknow everyone have its answer but i want to know exactly

1- do he have to file form I-864 A? and what r the cases he need to file em for

2- what else he need more then his I-864 ? and it have to be his w2 or it can be his 1040 for the last 3 years

3- it have to be a verified copy from the IRS or it can just be a photocopy

4- he can just add his 1040 for the last year or it have to be the w2

5- about the sponsor is it enough his taxes for the last year (2009)?

but i was thinking about going to the usa under j1 cause it will be fast for me and no sponsor need and when im there i will finish my cr1 or even change it cause i spent more then 2 years marriage now which mean ir1 so that will be possible with me there?

and in the same time do j1 need ties and bank account and such things?

cause if it need all that i may be refused cause im already married to an american woman and that will show that i will never come back maybe

m i right? this may denied me on both j1 and cr1 as amor said...

i think ur right guys cause this will put me in the middle of no where with more money and 400$ fees for forms and then i will be denied cause i have no ties and my wife is american citizen which mean i will never come back home

i am egyptian citizen and im married to an american citizen

and we did our papers in the american embassy in cairo for cr1 visa

and i was approved and they sent me the 2nd package for sponsorship and medical examination

and while im finishing my papers i got the opportunity to work in the usa under j1 visa exchange visitors

so my question is

can i apply for a j1 visa while im processing for a cr1 visa?

if that happened and i went to the interview they will deny me?

and if i went to the usa under the j1 visa i can change my statues later and finish the rest of my papers as a cr1

and get my green card without problems or they will ask me to go back to egypt for 2 years first?

please answer me asap

well for those who was waiting to know what happened with me

i want to say that everything is fine thanks GOD and all what happened was for one of my wife family members made some dump ###### and keep sending emails to the american embassy in cairo tellin them that we r in immigration fraud and that our marriage is a business marriage or something

we went to the interview and the v-counselor did the interview just with my wife

and they took my originals (paper of birth-marriage contract-my wife divorce papers)

and after some questions she said i can see that everything is fine and ur husband should expect his package in the next 15 days and here we GOOOOOOOo

thank GOD everything is fine and im waiting for the packet and thanks for u guys

and i just have one question ,,,,,,,,,is that packet commin have my medical examination too?

that mean that im waiting for just 2 packs not 3 (papers and medical exam- visa interview)

and when my fingerprint will be takin?

but that suppose to be normal

i mean anyone had something like that before?

well guys

first of all i want to thank everyone of u for ur help and supporting me

we mailed the congressman and we sent him all our papers and stuff

and just today i found the embassy calling my cellphone asking me to go and take package 3 from the embassy door

and that ur interview will be on the 25th august

then they called me again and they said dont come to take ur package just come on the 25th for the interview

thank GOD something happened

but now i donno what specialy they need

and how i will have an interview while i didnt sent my package 3

and what should i expect on that interview?

and what do i have to say and take with me ......for those who have experience with such case

it will be just for fingerprint and tellin me everything is fine and go finish ur papers

or something else?

i just want to tell everyone that we called the embassy and as i was expected

there is nothing wrong with ur case and its AP and the I-130 dont expire in case u follow up and send emails and keep following ur case.

and there is nothing called AP is only when u recieved pack 3 cause we can do AP from the time of the petition till u issue ur visa ...there is no time frame and there is no steps for when we can do the AP or not.

just be on hold and follow up with emails and wait until we update u with the next step.

and Raina4gy is right

some ppl with some name + religion + place of birth can have a long time processing more then anyone

and its different from one to another like the lady said in the embassy (someone can have his package in 1 week another have it in 1 year)

and my name can be writin in many different ways like (haytham-haissam-haisam-hayssam) + my place of birth is Saudi arabia (even i didnt spend more then 6 months there and the rest of my life is in Egypt) + muslim

i think this can give me a big while to check ........

i may have hits on my name in fbi namecheck or anything else i donno .....

all i have to do like the lady said (and i think that she was an old lady after the operator sent me to her)....wait until we email u for the next step.

i really cant find another reason ... cause im cleaaaaaaaar and what put me insane that they didnt even approve or deny my case ........isnt crazy?

and i think i will wait for the congressman to answer me even he will do nothing at least we show that we follow up our Sh**t

and i called the embassy on (202) 2797-2301 and they put me on hold for half hour and nothing

so i will try to call tomorrow

and if not i will let her go directly to the embassy to see whats going on and i wish they dont reply her with the same answer AP and nothing we can do :S

and i know what ur talkin about and i did call the embassy on 2100 and i didnt find anything talk about (if u want to get information about ur petition or case) or even an option to follow ur case under immigration petition

in the end i followed like i will do an appointement and the lady told me no one can tell u such informations and in the same time every case have its situation and if they replied u with AP that mean that ur papers under AP and no one can speeed it .

so i think there is another number or something i need to dial to make me contact someone inside the embassy not just vodafone appointement center....any help on what to dial?

and im in my way to try the american citizen phone line since my wife is here with me

and if not i dont think there is any other solution be to go directly to the embassy from the citizenship door

and the congressman didnt answer us yet

so what do u think guys

and in the same time i searched and never found that i-130 expire

well i wish thats only the reasons for not sending my package till now

i have to wait till sunday and then i will call

and i allready sent them an email explainin that my papers cant be AP cause i didnt recieved the package yet

and the NVC replied me with ( The case number provided is not an NVC case number and appears to have

been assigned by the US Embassy/Consulate General. Please contact the

embassy/consulate directly regarding this case.)

and i donno how while everytime we call the NVC they find our case number and every information

and about the package i didnt change my address or went to any place since i made the petition

and all my neighbours know me well and if anything happened they should of tell me

when we mailed the embassy askin for our petition she said send us ur case number ....i replied that i donno it

then she send it back to us and tell me this is ur case number and it start with CRO

so what that mean

and yes i didnt recieved my 3rd package yet and i didnt recieved anything yet all i have is just the case number

and i did try what u said about the DHL and no results been found for my number

and i called the NVC again on the (202) 663-1225 number and the lady said our name and our address and it was right

so that mean that we r on the system there and she said nothing is wrong with ur case its still AP

so i want to know why its AP ,,,,for what reasons

and in the same time i want to know ,,,,havin a case number that mean that my case is approved from the NVC too?

and about ppl who keep sayin there is nothing have to do with DCF and NVC ......so why they have my case number on they'r system while i still can see some ppl are cryin cause they cant find they'r case on the NVC system ...while i can

so im really confused now and i want to make myself clear

1- why my case AP?

2-when USCIS send the case back to NVC?( forget that im DCF just for any case...what made it go to NVC?

3-i have a case number start with CRO so that mean my case is approved or what that meannnnnnnnn?

4- whats the maximum time my case can wait in NVC cause it been 10 months now

cause im a lawyer in my country and i've been threw alllll those steps .

now im a little bit confused

cause when we called the USCIS and took my case number the woman herself who said the name of the petitioner without any mention from us and we told her right thats the name

and we did change the address and she said yes and she told us the new address

which mean my name and case in they'r system

and she said everything is fine and papers went to NVC now

and if there is anything wrong i would of tell u

so i think and im very sure that in DCF the case went to USCIS and NVC like any other case but this time is faster and shorter in time then others cause as they said DCF is the faster way to move to usa

and till now nothing happened

just a case number

anyway i will try to make my wife call

and about papers dont go threw the USCIS and NVC i think ur wrong cause thats what the homeland security do the checks ad stuff......then to NVC after USCIS approve it then NVC send it back to the embassy

try to read more about it and please who want to help .....use a confirmed info cause we r talkin about a serious life here

no i just made my first interview with my wife to give em the I-130 and the G-i donno and pay the 335$ and DHL and got approved after the interview with the consular and im waiting for my first package for 10 months now

I don't think anything is wrong. Egypt seems to get longer timelines, as do many of the countries in the region. EWmail the Embassy again if you don't hear anything by Tuesday or so.

so that mean that my case is approved or still ??

I am certainly no expert about these things but from reading other posts it sounds like they sent your case back to NVC for additional background checks. Does your wife have a Senator from her home state that can assist in making some inquiries about what the hold up is??

and what made my papers go back to NVC? i mean what is the reasons and i think when case went from USCIS to NVC that mean that everything is fine and my papers are done checking and approved

or thats have another meaning .........im confused

and if there is something wrong why they didnt ask us when we called

im in the same problem 10 months now and nothing happened but a case number and my papers are in NVC

i didnt received anything till now ....im on DCF which mean 6 month to be with my wife but its a GOD damn lieeeeeeeee

cause nothing happened till now not even a package or an email to tell us everything is fine.....

its always adminstration processing and i donno when that will end and how long my papers will be at the NVC

and when they will be back to the embassy so i can start sendin the resttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

we r married at march 4th 2008 .

i made my petition at september 2008 from the U.S embassy in Cairo for a DCF fieling and they made it CR-1 since we didnt finish 2 years yet and my wife was with me

and we got approved from the counsler about the case and he wrote YES on our case file..which mean our case is approved for the first check and the embassy have no problem for let me immigrate as i think .

i payed 355$ for I-130 and 55 L.E for DHL fees

and he told me i will see u in 2 months or 3 and prepare a Proof of DOMICILE with u and he gave me a paper with that.

and its 10 months now and nothing happened

all i have is just a case number and the embassy keep replien with the same answer

ur case still AP and we will contact you for the next step

we called USCIS and they said ur case went to NVC but since when ....i DONNO

and she said nothing wrong with ur case and everything is fine or we would of contact you......

we try to call GOS but nothing till now and even the other office end with 700 in the phone number we still trying

so is there anyone can give me an explaination for wats going on?

and why the NVC and for how long it will be there?

and when should i expect a package from the embassy ??? when im 1 year done with petition which mean september 09?

step by step

first of all live in egypt 6 countinues months

then u will meet those steps

- can I live here in Egypt and still file CR-1? you cant file CR-1 without living in egypt 6 month without moving then u can ask for petition and then file CR-1 and filling from the embassy called DCF

-What else I need my mother would send me? First you have to know who will be the sponsor for ur husband and will accept to file the Affidavit of Support (AOS) but anyway for u ...u need your tax return transcript for the last 3 years

a lease (house contract) have your name or your mother name if she will be the sponsor ( cause ur husband will need someone to file (affidavit of support ) for him to be his sponsor and this AOS have to go with 125% from the list of income (try to read about AOS) in vj

* any contract of owning a house or a shop or bank statment account transcript with you or ur mother name or the sponsor name,or a mortagage.

*your birth certificate

*6 months residency on ur passport to show that u didnt move for 6 months(read about it ) in vj

* a paper from ur employer include (ur name and start date of ur job ,and how much u take ,the employer or the company nothorised(stamped).

* any Gas,water,trash pills for the house

Can I fill out CR-1 online and send it n pay online or what? if u need the faster way spend ur 6 month in egypt and dont move and then u have to go with ur husband to file a 130 petition . and u have to call the embassy to have an appointment for filling the petition,paying the fees will be in the embassy.

and for ur husband make him finish those papers :

army certificate

original birth certificate approved from the ministry of forgeiners and translated

original marriage certificate approved from the ministry of forgeiners

a translation for the marriage certificate approved from the ministry of forgeiners and the us embassy in cairo

his passport

his ID

8 pictures for him and for u white background (for different need)

visa pictures 5X5 white background -not touched ,his face take 75% of the frame total

his father birth certificate approved from the ministry of forgeiners and translated

his mother birth certificate approved from the ministry of forgeiners and translated

he will need them here and in america for IR-1 and SSN

Will my living in Egypt pose a problem if I file the CR-1? you cant file CR-1 without being in egypt for countinues 6 month
