Hello everyone, I have filed my K1 and I recieved a request for a limitation waiver on a form I-797. I am not sure how this goes. I thought I was passed my two year limit. But the paper says that it goes from the time the last I129F was approved, which was Sep 2006 and I filed Aug 2008. I am wondering how to get this waiver and if they deney it what are my options? Thanks for the responses in advance.

You have to call Homeland Security and they will investigate, also let them know that she is not with you. If she has any family or friends in the U S they will want to know there address. Good luck

Have the person call you using the web site http://bueno.com/. They can call anywhere in the U S for free.

I sent my papers back on the 28th of July and they still have not cashed my check. Does it take a long time for them to process the payments?

I think it would be quicker if you file while in the military. Because when you exit the military it may be harder than it is worth.

Today I filed the papers for my fiancee. So now the waiting begins. I hope for the best. And hopefully we will be blessed with us being married here in the U S.

Thanks for your help

I am filing for someone else that I met through my neighbors and I was wanting to know if there could be a problem if I file the paperwork. The last time I filed the person left the U S in June of 07.

Do you need the document from your employer to file a I-129F, or just send it in and have it ready for the interview?

I had an approved k-1 petition and at the time my fiancee came over but with not the reasons that she should have. So she went back home. I know that you have to wait two years to file without getting a waiver on a I-129F but is there a waiting period for if someone came over and it did not work out?

Thanks everyone for the help!

My question is do my fiance have to fill out a letter of intent. I am the one filing the paper work here in the US.

Question 11 on the I-129F ask for information on previous filings. When they ask for the place and date of filing. Are they asking were I sent the first I-129F and the date I sent it?

No we never got married, she had someone else from where she was from and he called my house and they ran up my phone bill. Had her cousin pick her up until her flight back.

Ok here is my story. I filed a k-1 almost two years ago and was approved. That person came to stay with me with false motives. So I sent her back home and notified Homeland Security of what happened and I guess they cancelled the paperwork on her. My question is will this hurt my chances on applying for another k-1 visa. My next door neighbors introduced me to their cousin at a wedding in the Dominican Republic and we really hit it off. The person that was approved only stayed with me for about two weeks and July makes two years since I first sent in the first k-1 visa request.
