  1. I never smoke weed. I do know of morons, imbeciles who do. They're everywhere.

Thats alot of morons, imbeciles. Glad to know you are not one of them....

Are people who drink alcohol morons/imbeciles too?

I personally think if they do it just to get drunk, then yes. I think with weed, the point of smoking it is to get high. You can drink and not get drunk. I agree with some people though who said that drunk people can do more damage and cause more accidents, but to me that doesn't mean high people are fully functional.

...And you can smoke and not get high...just a matter of your tolerance/strength of product

  2. Yep, many people do. I know many many professionals who do..doctors, lawyers, engineers. I'd rather people smoke weed than drink. It's much safer, and healthier. But, just like anything, it can be abused. Personally, I don't have a problem with it. I don't smoke but it doesn't bother me that other's do as long as they do it responsibly..just like drinking. You don't drive, or work..but I'd rather have a driver who's high on weed than a drunk driver any day. Not to mention that the hemp plant is one of nature's wonder plants and can be used (and was used but the US government) for just about anything, is fast growing and hearty. My personal opinion is that it should be legal, and farmers should be able to cultivate it as a crop. It can easily be engineered so that there is little to no THC - which is the part that makes you "high" leaving just the plant which can be used for clothing, rope, food, fuel and many other uses. The portion that can be smoked I think should be heavily regulated and taxed like tobacco is now (although I think Tobacco should be MORE regulated - and all the killer chemicals be taken out) That's part of the problem too. Once corporations get a hold of something, they ruin it...tobacco by itself, isn't that dangerous as opposed to the cigarettes that come out of the factories with all their additives and chemicals - not much left of it is actually tobacco.

Anyway, yes, many people do smoke it here depending on where you live.

  3. Yosh...add me to the list of Japan fiance's. My fiance and I met while I was living in Japan. Anyone from Yamagata? I lived there for 3 years. We got our first NOA on March 25th this year and have yet to see any touches or anything since then. Should I be worried? In the meantime, what should I be gathering for the next round. This whole process is mind numbingly boggling!

It's great that this forum is here!

  4. Hi there, I'm new here and obviously confused.

A little about us. I'm from the US and my fiance is from Japan. We've been together (apart) for almost 2 years now. I lived in Japan for 3 years where we met in 2006. She's been here for a 90 day stay back in 2006 where we travelled all over the US and met all my family and friends. I went back to Japan in 2007 to meet her family and am going back in 2 weeks for another visit. I don't know what we'd do without internet video chat every week!

So here's our little timeline - My fiance and I received our first NOA on March 25. We haven't seen anything since then. No touches, no nothing. Should we be worried? Anyway we can give them a swift kick to get moving on this? Our app went to the CSC. In the meantime, what can we get ready for the next stage if we ever get to that? This whole process is mighty discouraging and from what I hear, it's meant to be.

Sorry if this has been covered ad nauseum, maybe I'm not searching correctly for this stuff.

    Thanks everyone!

    -Scott
